This is the most personal song I’ve ever made. It’s dedicated to the love my mum and dad have for each other and the nurturing they’ve given me and my sisters throughout our lives. It was difficult to make as I kept tearing up making the song and video so I had to take breaks. Seeing the guidance my dad provided over the years and creating a happy family environment is inspiring but it’s heartbreaking to see now he is in care with Alzheimer’s, dementia and progressive supranuclear palsy, unable to create new memories. I just wanted to show what an incredible human he is and what he’s done for our family.

When it comes to Alzheimer's. I like to think of it like the window to the soul has just turned cloudy. Whats going through the window might not be able to be interpreted as a fully concrete thought. But the pure sunlight, that joy and positvity that you sent through the window is still there. Like they can be happier, but dont know why. The soul is still there. Fully intact. The window is just foggy...

It’s open-ended really, it will go towards paying for him to stay at the nursing home my mum works at so she can look after him and spend more time with what he has left since she struggles not having him around. Unfortunately, it’s quite expensive to stay there but I think it’s important for them to be together.
