A Part 02 heartfelt conversation with Madhubala's sister Madhur Brij Bhushan( Zahida) about Madhubala.
In this Part 02 segment of "Yaadon ka canvas " Madhur Brij Bhushan talks about Madhubala's loneliness and depression she went through after being diagnosed with hole in the heart and how desperately Madhubala wanted to spend her last two year's of life with husband Kishore Kumar.
She speaks her heart out about the hardships , tough time and difficulties Madhubala faced in personal life and carrier. She further pours her soul out and speaks about her sister Madhubala's love life, breakup with Dilip Kumar, marriage with Kishore kumar , mental health condition's, loneliness, battling with life, shattered in love, relationships and marriage and how it was harder for Madhubala to accept that the ending was even real.

I just don't know how should i put my feelings for her i felt a strange but a strong connection from her and it is like a connection between an elder sister and a younger brother (even though she died 55 years ago and i don't have elder sister either) but still.
May be allah knew that further she couldn't bare more heartbreaks she has already had so much of pain .

Madhubala's first film i saw was "police".with pradeep kumar in 1958..and since then she was my favoutite filmstar and saw all her films released in my town medan .(Indonesia) Among those are kala pani., phagun , insan jaag utha , chalti ka naam gadi , and many otherd...until now ,(i am 80 years old) she remained my only favourite indian actress

I wish Madhur Ji would have been a little more thankful to Kishore Kumar. Though she has changed her stance - probably after the publication of our book Kishore Kumar: The Ultimate Biography - and is a lot more softer on Kishore Kumar, she does not mention the following : -
1. Madhubala stayed at Kishore Kumar's house for 8 days and had to shift to a flat off Turner road in Bandra as the sound of aircraft taking off and landing was difficult for her to bear. Kishore Kumar's house was very near the airport.
2. Kishore would never stay away from his parents. His father died in 1962, but his mother continued to stay with him till she passed away in 1970. Madhubala and Kishore Kumar's mother had the universal bahu-saas equation that is beyond the understanding of men. Another reason Madhu was moved to a flat. Despite that, Kishore would visit Madhu after shooting and also have dinner with her. Back home, his mother would also insist on him haivng dinner with her, leading to Kishore being forced to have dinner twice. This was one of the reasons for the obesity that developed during the mid 1960s.
3. Only after staying in the rented flat for a few years, Madhu shifted to her father's house, Arabian Villa. This was primarily because Kishore wanted Madhu to be with someone who was close to her. She needed human energy around her to survive, and it was not possible with a bunch of nurses moving around the place.
4. Zahida (Madhur) acted in multiple films where Kishore was the director, hero or one of the main actors. Examples are many. Hum do Daku (produced and directed by Kishore Kumar), Door ka Rahi (produced and directed by Kishore Kumar), or Padosan, where she played Anuradha, Kishore Kumar's love interest. Had Kishore Kumar been so indifferent to Madhu, he would not have helped the family out from time to time.
5. There are more stories I have heard, but will rest my case here...

Very sad. Despite her illness and hope of survival for a couple of years, she lived through cinema but eventually died of incurable heart ailment. There was nothing that doctors could do to save her, the immortal actress whom we love and respect so much. ❤
