@Skull Fuck Look at that guy's training routine, it's absolutely insane. You'd never expect it from his physique, but the guy is a beast when it comes to training.
Christ, Butterbean knocked Johnny Knoxville on his ass, and Johnny is a reasonably fit person (Props to him for not going down immediately, and standing for 2-3 seconds)
This is why I train at home alone, people constantly judging each other in my gym, specially when youre trying to do bag work! Fragile egos everywhere! I don't give a shit what others think I just train for fun
#iamworthy Back In middle school I was constantly picked on for being fat and weird, I was always quiet and minded my own business, everyone gave me shit for it. Eventually I got tired of it. After middle school was done I started highschool from a home school program. It was then that I realized that I wasn't happy with my body. It took me forever but I've lost a little over fifty pounds by now and I'm getting there at my own pace. This channel gave me the motivation I needed to get off the couch and start pumping iron. I couldn't thank you and this community any more. I am forever in your debt.
When I packed on muscle, people had way less attitude with me. Like I was living in a different world. Honestly, this just pisses me off. Were they only being difficult with me because I was skinny? These are grown adults.
This is actually happened to me as well. When I was 12 people kept messing with me since I was 90 LBS and skinny. But now I'm 16 and have More muscle at 160 lbs, people don't mess with me that much anymore. Seriously?! It took for me to have muscle and a deep voice for people to take me more seriously. Good lord.
As an athlete, this is a very interesting perspective on physique and bodybuilding as a whole. Every sport has a different goal in mind for which muscles you train, and it’s honestly insane that people think there is an “ideal” for your physique. *Your* physique that is unique to you and what your goals are. It’s mind-boggling. I’m a figure skater, so most of my training is leg and core. There’s this weird pressure as a female skater to have a very specific athletic body type. One that I don’t quite fit into. I have broad shoulders and am generally more bulky than other figure skaters, but my training is and always has been centered around my sport. Even so, coaches tend to tell me to lose weight and focus more on slimming down. I get told that I’m too heavy or muscular and that’s why I can’t always land a certain jump. It’s mind-numbing. Figure skaters are petty little ice princesses sometimes, and girls on my team passive-aggressively tell me that I’m not focused enough skating because my physique is slightly different. Like, what? It’s wild, man. I’m rambling though. I totally agree with your points about working out for yourself. I figure skate because it’s something I’m passionate about, and putting someone down for trying to better themselves is super shitty.
The thing is a lot of us get caught up trying to do what we see others do on social media as well. That's why you gotta do what works for you and check your ego at the door before trying to impress everyone. Like the saying goes, the lion doesn't care about the opinion of sheep.....
Yea, I’m open to accepting criticism because you kinda have to sometimes, but unless it’s not constructive towards getting better and it’s just legit criticism without constructive ness or just hate, then that’s not worth listening to
Great message Jax. And honestly, for anyone getting started in their fitness journey, take that message to heart: build a body that *you* feel comfortable living in. Those other people judging you and making remarks don't have to spend their life in the physical shape their criticize, *you do*. So shape that vessel to be to your liking, learn to disregard other people's opinion and your happiness & mental health will improve tremendously
I needed this. I’ve been working out since I was 14, I’m 20 now and I weigh 165 lbs at 5’11. I’m trying to get 210 lbs. I used to weigh 145 lbs, but I bulked up. My arms are 16.5” rn, but I want them to be 18”. I wish I learnt about tricep exercises before I started working out. I didn’t learn about triceps until I was 18. So I still have progress to make. I’m trying to get back into doing the prison routine mixed with powerlifting. Because I want to bulk up. Mainly for me, but until this video I used to think “If I’m huge, maybe I’ll be viewed as badass or something.” But this humbled me, big thanks Jax. All I gotta do is keep training and keep going towards the goal. EDIT: A few months ago I got a scale and learned my actual weight was 165. Looks can be deceiving, especially if you are leaner than fatter. It’s a bit frustrating because I now have to work up to 190 lbs at least. But at the same time, I accept the challenge and look forward to reaching 210 still. EDIT EDIT: I lost my heart. :’( Jax notice me
@@thewanderingstruggler8601 I used to weigh 120 in middle school and the amount of tease and bullying I received was ridiculous. Then I weighed 220. I'm going down to 180 to look more lean. And right now I'm 215. Started out a few days ago. This guy has been a huge inspiration for me man.
I am worthy. Thank you Jax, this video has helped me so much with my self-esteem. I've always had issues with myself and always looked for validation in other people. My family hasn't always been helpful with my fitness goals. I've been called "a health nut" and other things like that. So thank you for helping me with my self-esteem. I really appreciate it.
My mom is literally my biggest hater lol always telling me I have no ass even tho I get praise on my physique from so many people :'c I still love her tho
At the end of the day, if people criticize you for trying to bulk or cut or whatever, just remember that their oppinon of you isn't more important than your own like if you want to bulk go ahead or if you want to cut just go ahead as long as you want to like you have the final decision don't let people influence you to no do something you wish to do. #Iamworthy

I have a friend in school who is a beast. He lifts heavy, and looks aesthetic asf. Before I could beat him in arm wrestling all the time, but now he folds my arm in 5 different ways. Among the two of us, he's the alfa so to speak. But I always say like "Bro you're the GOAT keep it up, im proud of you"
#I'm worth it recovering from multiple concussions learning self defence and all round strength and fitness! People leave when things are tough but through them leaving I learnt how to identify genuine people. You are super genuine JaxBlade, love you like a brother!
damn, this hit different. When I first started not only working out, but started doing self-help altogether, I was doing it to impress a girl. She broke up with me, and I thought maybe if I got "jacked" and got a big-shot job she'd want me back. Well, you can imagine how that worked out. Now Im doing it for me!
I was always insecure about how skinny I was, but once I had gotten out of high school I started to feel better about myself. I still had some self esteem issues along the way, but I eventually learned to love myself the way I am, however, that doesn't mean I can't improve upon myself. Anytime I used to workout I always workout to be bigger cause I was self-conscious of how skinny I am, but now I'm just exercising to be stronger, and I'll just let the size from whatever gains I make come naturally. The biggest challenge I've always faced was when it comes to food. I'm not eating enough and I could definitely be eating a little more nutritiously, but since I started working out again on top of my job and summer school and I now have a routine I can't wait till I get my results and I feel accomplished every day. I never had a doubt in my mind that I'm capable of anything the hardest part is always starting and staying consistent. No such thing as an overnight success. This was my story JaxBlade or at least a shortened version of it, thank you for the awesome videos and fitness tips, they've been a great help. #IAMWORTHY
I totally relate. I’ve gotten to a place where I’m no longer focused on building size, but mainly strength, athleticism, BJJ and health. I had a co-worker last night grab my arm last night and say his 16 year old son is getting bigger than I am. I just let it go. 😂
Simply put don't give a F about what others say about you, just focus on your goals and if your happy with the results then that's all you need, believe it. It is a 1000 times better then getting others approval. Nice video jax, am happy to hear that others share a form of what I use to and still believed about me, others and my goals + results.
This was a big lesson I had to learn when I did powerlifting for the first time last year. I’m not particularly swole or toned like most of my friends, and up until I found this channel (Love you Jax❤️), I’ve never really understood how to work towards my physical and mental goals in an ideal way. I may still struggle with it a bit, but I still know that I’m a healthy dude, I know where I am, and I know where I want to be by the time school is over. Edit: cuz my man Jax told me to say it #iamworthy Congrats on 400k and thanks for changing my life for the better
Thank you for this video. It got me motivated to pursue my fighter body goal. Coz my own family said that I lack buffness. But I kept telling them when I take off my shirt, that's where my hardwork can be seen. #IAMWORTHY
Honestly, therapy is such a great thing for any issues you may have emotionally or mentally. It's in no way weak to see someone to help get to a healthy state. You wouldn't avoid going to the hospital if you broke a leg, don't leave yourself struggling mentally or emotionally either. Like you always say, 1 percent better every day #Iamworthy
allways been bullied for being skitty/frail, hell I even bully my self into eating more and working harder to get to a point where i feel ok I know im not the only one who feels like this keep working hard king/queen even if we dont feel worthy now, we will be, eventually !!
When I started wrestling 🤼♂️ freshman year a guy on the team told me that I was a fourteen year old with a bear gut and it really messed me up with my goals but you and your channel inspired me to go from chubs to dubs
This is a highly needed talk/video. I love things that can make you think very critically on youself. Thos is one of them. Thank you for giving us this
Jax Blades ranting? This is low ki I thought it was impossible this will be a great video love your channel #imatter I forgot the tag honestly I started working calisthenics at 8 than I was in and off until I was 12 than started lifting weights consistently when I was 13 I got gains and stayed with calisthenics and got into boxing at 14 and I'm trying to blend calisthenics with weight lifting and I'm 15 happy and just working on what I need to get better at and this Isn't super helpful to me but this is great reassurance
I’m worthy, but jax I really appreciate videos like this, I’ve struggled a long time with mentally keeping my self on my journey. Thank you for doing your work
This is such an esteem-booster. I'm definitely an in-between guy with a lot of gym experience but still some pudge. I'm not gunning to be a physique performer. I wanna be healthy and able as possible for the long-term. That's why I do what I do. The physique gains are great, of course, but that health goal is what really matters to me.
I really appreciate the fact that you bring up how someone's goal for themselves to be healthy is so important. I've seen it time and time again where people who are just trying to improve themselves get shamed by others for some reason or another. Bee yourself and work hard y'all. #IAmWorthy
Also thank you Jax for making this video funny enough I was having a smiler conversation with someone on discord. Also Back in my old school I was lean and this over weight kid came up to me and said why are you so skinny. I look at him and say Thank you #IAmWorthy
Every video that lightly touched on this topic(Luffy and Yuske, Zoro WTWO, Buff vs Lean, weights vs calisthenics etc.) was slowly building up to this moment. #Iamworthy
"If I cannot have my perfect form, I'll strive for my perfect function." I don't know how my body is gonna change as I grow older but I know my body's functional ideal is going to be a constant. I want to feel proud of my body. I can appreciate aesthetics but I know that the time taken for me to achieve an ideal physique would take away from my joys of martial arts training and movement, so I can't feel pride in an aesthetically pleasing body which does not function that I want it to. I'm not happy with my physique because I'm not happy with it's function, it's why I'm looking to do fewer lifts near 1RM and take more time to abdominal and skill based exercises. Now the obligatory backstory, I was given a lot of flak as a young teen being slim, scrawny and short was merely a factor, like many I got bullied but tis' life. I enjoyed sports because this was where things got interesting, I had to adapt through trial and error. I definitely took unnecessary hits in basketball because I was easy to box out but I learnt how to brace better and slip by peoples barges. I injured a lot in rugby because I seemed an easy target on the ball but I learnt that my agility is an asset. I got related to goalkeeping in football because I was asthmatic and a terrible shot but I learnt to relish the oncoming threat of the offense and let them come, I've got time to rest and a penchant for a lucky dive. All that's changed from then and now regarding fitness and sport is location and time and people. Same social archetypes with the occasional twist, same sort of challenges and the same risks to health and reputation; I'll try to keep on living in the moment and see where I can fit, regardless of the situation. I'll keep on fighting, keep on traceuring and keep on learning. #iamworthy as I once was worthy, #iamworthy because I will be worthy once again.
Man, ty so much for this. your saying stuff I've been thinking for so long, but I never see anyone with that same mind set be so confident with sharing it. you really just made me feel better

I need to adopt a healthy lifestyle but have no idea where to start. I see so many videos on eating well, starting a good routine, building a network of friends, making life goals, and building both physical and mental strength. But does anyone know of a resource for a total healthy lifestyle overhaul, from waking up to sleeping at night?
Don’t have that but I have some pretty solid advice for you take cold showers 🚿 lift, run, do calisthenics diet take multivitamins take protein and creatinine and also take black seed oil and ashwagandha before bed. Stop drinking or smoking
I dont have a resource for healthy lifestyle but if you dont know where to start i would say stop watching some of those videos and just start, like right now do some push up later on go on a lil run start to build momentum not all at once but start something today and do a lil more tomorrow
I suggest you figure out the small lifestyle changes that you want to implement first and some low-hanging fruit (easiest changes), decide from there and try to let your habits survive. If you're going for the whole lifestyle overhaul remember that it'll be more harder to sustain- regression to the mean happens and habits built over a lifetime will not change immediately just because you want them to. If you haven't already, you should try observing yourself- your energy levels, hunger levels, sleepiness levels throughout the day and after getting a baseline of a few weeks, you can try experimenting to see what works for you: nutrition, rest, and training. Objective knowledge from experts is important but having zero knowledge of yourself will bring great difficulties in application. Patience is your friend, as you can see, this is a continuous process- should improving oneself have an end? This is a healthy lifestyle that we're building and appropriately, it will take a lifetime.
4:17 That's my main man Hafthor Julius Bjornson one of the strongest humans on the planet. This fool can literally deadlift a car. He may not be as ripped as Usain Bolt or Cristiano Renaldo, but I'm damn sure he's stronger than them
True body positivity is loving yourself at all stages. My body goes through so many shifts from more bloated to lean, especially since I haven't had the chance to hit my gym. But I stick to my basics to maintain and build my strength, sure I don't look as cut as I did when I kept going to gym during my days off, but I know I'm still as strong if not stronger than I was before. Focus on your goals, other people commenting on looks are just noise.
Hey Jax! I know it id summer and i am 12 yeard ikd but starting tomorrow I am waking up at 5 am and going for a mile run! Later in the day I will practice gyitar and try to learn spanish. Here's to productivity and fitness! Edit: I also will meditate for 10 minutes before each run
@@thomiste_1 thanks for the advice! Eventually i will probabaly incorporate pusbuos squats and leg raises into my routine (I hear sit-ups can do harm to the back)
I have gained some weight from trying to take my mental health seriously with medication and its been rough cause I gained like 30-40 pounds. I'm going for walks every day, doing an ab workout and trying bodyweight exercises and I'm sure it's helping but I want results now (which I know is unrealistic) #iamworthy
This reminded me so much of that time when a former friend's friend said "I have less muscle than you but at least I know how to use it" out of nothing and then comented on my forearms muscles not being as visible as his bc my "muscles were loose" (total bs), and I was like "yoo wth bro, I haven't said ANYTHING to you lol". Insecure people are so good at belittling others just bc they feel like it.
you’ve motivated me so much jax, i started working out in 7th grade bc of you i quit last year and i can’t believe i’m going to 11th grade in a month. i’ve recently started again last week bc i came back to your videos, thanks so much for the motivation.
When I first got my license, I was 5’4 and only 108lbs. Once I started college, I started going to the gym and trying to eat more. I got myself to 140lbs with both weight lifting and calisthenics. Back in February, my long term girlfriend broke up with me and I was severely depressed. I wasn’t eating much, and lost close to 15 pounds. However, now I’m trying to get back into it. I’ve realized working out has helped my mental health, so it’s no where but up for me!
This actually helps me a lot today. I was thinking about how much I am working on changing myself to be healthier than I am and all of the comments that people have said of how much I'm looking like I'm smaller and not as strong anymore. I'm still a ways away from where I want to be, but I'll get there. Thank you for the subtle encouragement. #IAMWORTHY
I’ve watched lotta different videos like this, but damn this ones the most entertaining. The other ones make it feel like I’m in health class getting a lecture about how to take care of myself. This makes me feel like my friends trying to push me to my limit and encourage me to do better. Keep up the good content
I agree with everything you've said. At the end you asked for a story so I'll tell you mine. I'm 19 and in college, however, growing up I lived a rather sheltered life. I wasn't allowed to do sports and some people made fun of me for this, and called me lazy over something I had no control over. So I was oftentimes pretty bitter with others and tried to start fights. However, in college I joined a mma gym and its honestly changed my life. I'm in my best shape ever and have made some great freinds. Also my mental health has improved because I no longer feel like I have to prove myself to others, just myself. So I'm way more easy going and friendly now.
I was the skinny kid growing up, and the tall kid in middle school. I got picked on in 8th grade for being "tall for nothing" because I suck at basketball. Kids avoided me in gym class cuz it was seen as uncool to hang around a disappointment like me. But that changed when I joined the track team and did very well running distance for our school. They didn't understand that I just am not a hooper, and I didn't wanna be. I felt free running and I could run for long periods of time without stopping, and my long legs were useful for the long jump. I even made friends through Track & Field and some of them were the same ones who laughed at me for being "tall for nothing". It's always because they don't understand that your goals aren't the same as theirs, you just gotta push by them and be your best self anyway. #iamworthy
I’m a skinny guy trying to bulk. Over lockdown a lot of personal stuff hit me on top of that and I used that as fuel to gain some weight and size (following your Jojo TLTT as a matter of fact). I went from 54kg to 56kg in the space of 3 weeks, then I got complacent and lost a kilo, currently at 55kg. But that knowledge that I CAN reach 56kg, the heaviest I’ve ever been, inspires me to know that I can one day hit my target of being between 65kg - 70kg. I’ll never be the biggest and strongest, but if I can get to that weight goal for my own sake and be able to maintain that as I continue to improve on my martial arts training (my true focus) I’d class that as a win. Huge thank you for this video man, I’ve been following you for a long time and as always you’re proving time and again that one of your main goals is to help others build themselves into the best them possible. Keep going my dude! #iamworthy
As a guy who used to weigh 285 I have to say I understand having pain in your chest. I would get this chronic pain that felt like a rib poking into your lungs. After I started taking martial arts up again I got my ass kicked and humbled. And thank you Jax for your videos because they have motivated me and inspired me to keep working on my self. I've lost over 30 pounds because you keep reminding me what's at the end of the road. #I AM WORTHY.
I think Baki from Baki The Grappler in season 4 was a great example of doing for yourself. He said "If my dad is the strongest I don't mind being the second strongest but if he was the weakest I don't mind being the second weakest" Baki is only concerned with his goals only and don't care what anyone else says or thinks. You're amazing Jax and keep pushing forward being an inspiration.
I love going to the climbing gym with my friends and when they see a strong individual theyre in awe and almost cant believe how powerful they are. And on the other end all I see is how much time and effort has gone in to there training and craft of theyre skills, my view has changed so much along the way of how I see people and myself, im grateful for the mindset I have today. I cant stand people who push others down to appear on top, its such an unbearable place to be around, I can only see the pain they have inside. Cheers jaxblade, have a good day champ, from Australia.
Growing up I was always fat and weak and always made fun of for it. Then when I got into highschool and got into martial arts + Puberty hitting me like a sack of trucks, I became tall and lean and everyone started actually being really really nice to me. From 12 - 18 I kept a consistent weight of 180, I just got taller and skinnier and more more muscle. But after graduating I stopped training and let myself go and gained a lot of weight and lost a lot of muscle, and then saw a picture of myself back in highschool and thought "I'm way too young to think about how good I used to look". So I got back into training and that rekindled my love for martial arts and blossomed my love for fitness and slowly started allowing me to love myself and my body no matter how I looked. I came to terms with the fact that I'll never be that small again, but all I care about now is becoming stronger and a better martial artist. When I started back in 2017, I was 210lbs with 46% body fat. Now I'm 240lbs with 21% body fat. And there have been people who tried to put me down but I'm strong enough to lift myself.

As an athlete, this is a very interesting perspective on physique and bodybuilding as a whole. Every sport has a different goal in mind for which muscles you train, and it’s honestly insane that people think there is an “ideal” for your physique. *Your* physique that is unique to you and what your goals are.

Mainly for me, but until this video I used to think “If I’m huge, maybe I’ll be viewed as badass or something.”
But this humbled me, big thanks Jax.
:’( Jax notice me
UPDATE: just started powerlifting after a year and a half, and did 165 Squat and 225 Deadlift! Not bad for a beginner! Benchpress was 170.
@@rdrummer2 Yeah I’m 165 rn and I’m trying to get to 180 by May, then hopefully 210 by December. I wish you luck and strength with all your endeavors!
Keep going you can do it!

Whenever I hear them while seeing Jax, I must train.
I train not for another, but to better myself.
My mom is literally my biggest hater lol always telling me I have no ass even tho I get praise on my physique from so many people :'c

The same with me... She says I'm really skinny but hell I'm getting lean muscles popping out but she says they aren't muscles -_-

Thank you Jax blade for being someone to turn to during sad times
damn, this hit different. When I first started not only working out, but started doing self-help altogether, I was doing it to impress a girl. She broke up with me, and I thought maybe if I got "jacked" and got a big-shot job she'd want me back. Well, you can imagine how that worked out. Now Im doing it for me!
Respect
I started exercising for the girls too but ended up doing it for myself
#IAMWORTHY
To those who are just vibing y'all are worthy
Edit: cuz my man Jax told me to say it

"If I cannot have my perfect form, I'll strive for my perfect function."
I don't know how my body is gonna change as I grow older but I know my body's functional ideal is going to be a constant.

Medics? Unless you are american, of course. Also, I don't think you should search for "the one source to rule them all". that's unhealthy by itself.
Idk if this helps but Jax has a Playlist for starting health and the three stool of fitness which covers sleep, food, and exercise
You'll always be too big for someone and too skinny for someone else. However nobody will ever say you are too STRONG

Watching you help me so much and im starting to see the change in my body keep it coming... I am worthy 🙏 🙌
Please keep being awesome I've been watching you for years and you bring so much inspiration
It just boils down to building true confidence .
#iamworthy
Jax you have been a great inspiration in my life for the last 5 years.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH ON BEING A GREAT STRONG CHILL DUDE.
#Iamworthy
Yes Jaxblade you covered all the key points. There are indeed problems in the fitness community right now.
#iamworthit LET THE GAINZ START. to be happy, healthy and strong
#iamworthy
Thanks for the pick me up, I watched this during my workout (along with like 6 TLTT). Oh, and so you know I made it to the end #iamworthy
That last sentence is just beautiful
