I'm using the Universal Audio OX Reactive Amp Attenuator with Speaker Modeling:

The OX gives me the ability to take the maximum of my Marshall (or any other amp) at any volume.
It turns any vintage amp to a Swiss army knife! Crank it up, add effects such as Reverb, Delay and more... And the speakers simulation is amazing!
