    Dan brother - I had a chance to check out your Aria vid by the time you responded.
    I'm an audio engineer and a producer but my IEM experience is in progress (above average though), I must say your channel is everything I was looking for... Yes I'm highly familiar with all reviewers and you stand out. Views might not reward it initially as you build your audience
    but I assure you - the channel is deserving and superior with your recordings and breakdowns.
    For the first time I got to hear the difference between models I heard so much bs reviews about, mid range and high end comparison etc...
    I will be closely following you channel and I'd like to offer my help as a producer and help you with any audio work for your channel (and perhaps video editing as I've experience in that as well). I'm also struggling financially but it's my way of appreciating fantastic work. I would love to stay in touch if any of that helps - Zac Aviad on fb :)

      I’m still seeing how my video editing/audio recording/etc are panning out on my own, but I definitely want to keep you in mind now as I progress. Who knows, maybe I’ll want to try a new style or need a hand somehow down the line.
      Thank you again for the support and offer for help!

      I was thinking some chill musical transition in some parts or hi-def FX could make is more lively for casuals. I of course, don't require it to enjoy your fantastic content but I'm aware it might help cast a wider net for audience and I do this for living so couldn't help but offering.
      But I agree, same as you do with gear - it's wise to give it more time and by all means contact me if needed at any point. I'd gladly return the favor for your great work here or just chat regardless.

      Thanks again and take care!

    I stumbled upon the Prism at High End in Munich today and I went in with no preconceived notions. Man, that thing is just _pleasant_ . Plenty of bass, but not overpowering. Not shouty, but not muffled either, just very well-rounded. Favourite IEM of that day for sure.

    I bought the Hana 2021 =), i found incredible beautiful, like a shopping vaporwave girly. Something would be very funny to wear with some goth clothes (pretty ridiculous). Prism wasn't on the budget though, just Oxygen, but i just did prefer to keep the lasting budget for a full size headphone later. Sundara's or HD600. I believe in Super* reviews tastes, it's similar to mines. And he said that he prefered Hana's 2021 than Prism... And both have this depthness and imaging, he said ''it's an holographic presentation... better imaging than Blessing 2, and almost the Prism itself''... Let's see when it come. I just have a heavy flerty relationship when i see a tanchjim design, and even moondrop wifus can't do this to me.

    So the technicalities (soundstage, imaging, instrumen separation, clarity, resolution...) is on the same level as in the xenns up? Or one better than the other? :)

    • @dansaudioreviews
      @dansaudioreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I find the UP to be better in resolution overall. It is probably due to it being a tribrid and having multiple drivers handling different parts of the tuning response.
      The UP is generally, technically, the better of the two for my ear. And I prefer the tuning choices too on the UP. Somehow the prism come off as warner, while the UP’s bass heaviness isn’t so warm (but warmer than other gear like the MEST).
      I do definitely recommend the UP over the Prism, at this time anyway.

    I was hoping it to be great...but most people whom have heard it 1st hand says its not 600usd good. I know for this money those tribrid pantheons is the default recommendation for this price Thieaudio Oracle/Excalibur or Moondrop Variations or even Dunu SA6. I guess what you're paying is 300-400USD SQ + 200 USD of jewelry craftsmanship in general.. Despite knowing the fact that Prism is inferior to those tribrids... does it sound like a direct upgrade from the Oxygen in tonality/techs wise? Because I love the O2, I just wish it had better overall resolution.

    • @dansaudioreviews
      @dansaudioreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say yes, it is a direct upgrade from the Oxygen, to my ear for now. *opinions change as I try things more, however*
      If you love the Oxygen, the Prism should not disappoint. Well, if spending twice as much is worth it for you for the relatively small upgrade. I don’t know if I would say it is definitely worth twice the cost, to me, but I believe I could see how it would be worth it for someone who loves the Oxygen and is looking for that upgrade.

    hmmm personally I think of the prism as a cheaper better UERR, its when you just want to chill out and listen to bad recordings and hear all the issues but still be able to enjoy the music. Helps as well that the upper mids isnt boosted making it sound very natural. A total upgrade from the darling which lacked the dynamics even though it was just as revealing.

    • @jeffreyphandani5160

      u mean its revealing the bad side of any song that are bad in recorded? or the driver sound is bad? bcoz i'm going after this if this is at least better than the oxygen, or oh10, or if can, the timeless

    • @llysender

      @@jeffreyphandani5160 prism is highly revealing but is not earrape capabable with its softer attack which is a good and bad thing.
      i would say its a very refined og oxygen and if you can get it at a discount of 500 or less its a bargain.
      As for OH10 it has a different target and is much more agrassive and V shaped compared to the warm darkish prism and oxygen and its delecate transients.
      Cant say much for the timeless since i found it to not be resolving at the volumes i listen at and it being very 2D image wise. The only good thing i found about the timeless was the saperation but with 0 depth i find it difficult to rec.
      That being said i would wait and see how the tanchjim kara is first before getting the prism since its releasing next month

      @@jeffreyphandani5160 sorry was busy. Darkish sound is recessed from 5khz onwards that gives more body at the expense of air and sibilance. Personally i use darkish sound for when the vocal extension is recessed.

      Also price and quality are only partially related. With how fast the iem grind is going i wouldn't be surprised if kara was actually more detailed than prism. But prism is still worth the buy if you can get it at 500usd.

    • @dansaudioreviews
      @dansaudioreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. I do personally prefer the Aria over both the Legacy 2 and Starfield. While the Legacy 2 has a laid back sound compared to the Starfield, and the Starfield has a more exciting sound, the Aria is more overall more pleasing to listen to than both (for me).
      The Starfield does have something fun going on with its bright sound, but it can be a bit shouty at times. I would be happier with the Aria as it is easier on the ears for extended listening.

      That’s right! I have a 789 paired with a Bifrost 2. I actually think I like this pairing:
      - Bifrost 2
      - Xduoo TA-30 (hybrid tube amp)
      I like how the Xduoo handles amp tuning. It’s a brighter lean than the 789 actually. The 789 no joke sounds warmer than this line of hybrid tube amps By Xduoo.
      I would recommend the cheapest Xduoo amp you can get. I noticed little to no difference between the $700 TA-30 and the $160 MT-604. But I would recommend a slightly more priced Xduoo that has a single dial.
      I record my demos using the 789 amp, but for most enjoying myself listening sessions, I like to use the Xduoo stuff I’ve tried.

    How about the bass between xenns up , prism , and mest mk1

    • @dansaudioreviews
      @dansaudioreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      UP has more bass presence than either the prism or the MEST. The prism is a similar price to the UP, but the two are doing very different things.
      While both are very detailed sounding, the UP leans more on bass to create a full presence in the music. The UP sounds closer to how live performances could sound in that way. Though the UP is detail rich and still more full sounding with the low end presence than the Prism, the UP may at times sound like the male vocalists are not as forward as one might like on their tracks.
      Currently I place them close in rank, but the UP edges out the Prism for me overall.
      The MEST, however, is just so special and more enjoyable for me personally. But, the MEST does not have a large bass presence nor a “full” live feel of the UP. It is so crystal clear sounding though in the instruments/vocals in the mids and treble, that the lack of bass doesn’t necessarily detract from the enjoyment - at least for me.
