Some important notes for players playing this scenario: -More of a funny fact, if you look at the note George is reading in the opening cutscene, you can see the note has a few spelling errors. "Prease contact me as soos as possible." -The Folding Knife will inflict five times the normal damage against the Thanatos-R boss. If playing as David, he can knife Thanatos-R to death with ease since he has a 3-hit knife combo if timed properly -If playing as Cindy, you can bypass the need to pull one of the fireplace ropes in the President Room and risk releasing a zombie since all she has to do is play the piano in the Art Safe Room to get the Blue Jewel from the statue. Only Cindy is capable of doing this -If you are low enough on health, a Hunter γ can grab your character and if you do not struggle or have another team member shoot the Hunter, it will instantly kill you by swallowing you whole. Vore is not clean, wholesome fun for the family -Be extremely careful when using the electric cable to stun Thanatos. If an AI partner is standing underneath, you will deliver massive damage to them or even kill them on accident if their health is low enough, which will deduct a lot of points from your total if your partners die -Playing as Yoko will give you a little extra scene when you confront Greg -Depending on who you play as, who is left alive, and if you've used Daylight or have it in your possession, you can get several different endings

Yep, the Russian guy who Kills Greg and Injects Thanatos is Nikolai, so the University must be close to the Park and Treatment Plant for him to get there quickly
The OST of this scenario is disturbing. People usually dont talk about how well made are the music in this RE era and how it make you feel uncomfortable
Was playing this on a PS2 Slim the other day and it is painful without the HD lol. The game freezes a bit every time you load up the inventory screen, the map screen, or when your status changes (health loss, viral percentage, etc).
slow your roll son, i only made this into a speedrun with cutscenes because i couldn’t no-damage this with kevin and because cutscenes don’t count against time in OB
@@CarcinogenSDA Still, it's great to see chill commented speedruns with cut scenes. Having the well thought and executed play in gameplay (and having it be commented, explainin tactics and such) while being able to still enjoy the story through cut scenes is simply awesome!

Why you don try to make this official on the speedrun site? I play outbreak on high skill level but go for no damage runs mostly xD outbreak speedruns is cool too :p
Because it’s the only version that can still be played online and I haven’t Translation Patched it yet. Also because I can read some Japanese and I’m trying to get better at reading it faster

i don't know, but to be honest with you, rank doesn't give you much besides extra unlockable points for galleries and shit. it may be 25 minutes if you're still struggling. try playing with AIPCs.
I've practically watched every resident evil vids from across all your channels. Love the channel dig the content. But is Kevin per say the best character of the game?
Typically yes, he'd be the Top 3 but the joy of Outbreak is there's no overall best character as each level is tiered towards different characters. Re: Kevin his 45 pistol is one of the best weapons in the game and can down nearly any boss, his virus gauge aint too quick and his speed is fast, plus his kick is handy. Add the potshot ability too (his being the , most powerful in the game, alyssa's is half as good). David and I imagine Jim would be the other 2 best characters. Seriously these games are just fantastic, even that tiny paragraph I posted shows how much detail and effort the devs made into making the scenarios and characters unique and have different playstyles and characteristics. Would love to see Carci do Outbreak File 2!
Tbh I think he's only very useful for speedrunning, Cindy is a better newbie friendly since she can dodge most attacks and she has the herb case (not a backpack but better than having 4 slots for everything when you're new)
it's going to be difficult enough that doing no damage will be almost impossible with some characters. Mark and George probably, because their abilities were designed specifically to aid partners in co-op. I couldn't do Kevin Lone Wolf on this one because of Thanatos-R. So instead what I may do is online co-op for certain characters. Mark and George are characters I'll play online.
My hurdles were not the zombies or the spider. I took those hits you described this particular run and the several before it, because I rerouted for pure speed after I gave up on No Damage. Thanatos R second fight needs to open with a specific attack to get a No Damage clear. Hence why I seemed “impatient” and rushed the RL and AS. That was no mistake. I literally wasn’t trying to avoid damage at that point. Guaranteed win (with damage) if you rush them. You can’t dodge his arm sweep if he opens with it because of the stick bug. No Damage after that is a 33% chance if you do everything else perfectly. Actual RNG after a tediously long progression. If you wanna go for it, go for it, but I’m spent trying to go for it.
You can avoid the first spider by just walking to the left side of the screen which is Kevin's right on the stairs. You did too much waiting in that area. When i just run past that first spider on the stairs i Just make a fast bee line for the exit. In the main hallway with those 2 spiders they are always in the middle of their changing from wall to floor animations because I pass the first spider so quickly.
