Hence in simplest of terms “YHWH” means The Living and Self-Subsisting. Quran: Here are some of the verses where these specific characteristics appear: “Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living (al-hayyu), Sustainer of [all] existence (al-qayyumu). Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth…” 2:255, 3:2
