In orange inks Fuyu Gaki in the iroshizuku line of inks has been a very orange colour and also loved the burnt ornage diamine ink too though you already have a huge collection of orangey inks

Thanks for sharing. You will also need Robert Oster Whisky, Red Orange and Terracotta. Diamine Blaze Orange, Brandy Snap as well as Monteverde Fire Opal. Dominant Industry Earl Grey Tea is also nice.

If Noodler's is an option for you, try Southwest Sunset and Habanero.

Orange is one of my three standard colors, providing accents and highlights against the body text of green/brown or violet/grey. I have tried many but the two I currently have inked are both here, Autumn Oak, which I feel is somehow a combination of red and greenish yellow, resolving to orange, and Robert Oster's Burned Orange, which I call "Rust" and which can have spectacular shading as far as black in broad, wet nibs. In general Orange seems to really benefit from getting a lot of ink on the page and can often look anaemic in fine or dry nibs. Two worth of mention that aren't shown here are Taccia's Koiame, which translates as something like "treacle" or "barley sugar" (?), but which I like to call "Fox Red", and, on the browner side, Kyo Iro Moonlight Of Higashiama is an orange that is muted enough to be used for body text rather than highlighting - the Diamine equivalent would be Burnt Sienna. Thanks for the video. That yellow sheen is a new one on me!

Did you not find Diamine Autumn Oak too dry? I gave mine away for that.

I went on a bit of an orange dive last year. My favourite ended up being Dominant Industry Earl Grey Tea.

I must admit I don't have a fountain pen I do like the look of them but why not just use a sharpie or something similar?

I think once you have tried a fountain pen, you would have your answer! I love the feeling of the nib on the paper, it just feels really relaxing to me. Each pen is different, in terms of flow, line variation etc. Plus fountain pen ink comes in so many colours in comparison to a Sharpie.
