Probably had a huge come up when djent was invented and created his own style as a result. Not an insult but also not complement. Buddy rich used to rag on people like him but I think this is one instance that, although he may not be able to play the style or feel that buddy has, he stands alone his own island as well and buddy probably could not manage to play what he plays. THIS is what I am happy about. The metal community finding their drummer paragons in places other than speed and creativity-starved complexity.

It's a mixture of posture & the fact his stick grip is like a club with thumbs rolled over so all motion comes from the arms instead of wrists/fingers. Crazy skill & endurance to accomplish what he does!

He's probably going through a set every couple shows. Especially the ones angled away from him. And Sabians are strong but I've definitely broken several. That is the way.

@@asztalosmate7395 I play drum too. And in my point of view if I'm using his set up (especially the cymbal) It is hard to crush it because of the narrowness. Other than that I can't see inneficiency of his set-up placement.
adrieldrums with the power and speed he is using he has to stay stiff in a lot of the song so he can keep his body steady for control and accuracy. Try playing with your hip flexors and hitting hard to get a certain sound from the kit. It’s difficult.
