that's one benefit we have to calving out in the range pastures is we rarely ever have a scours problem. but we have to deal with the elements more so it's really just a toss up
Everything looks good , we have about the same amount of calves right now and we use those same boules treatment and they are worth the chips one of my boys kicked a box out of the truck and I ran over it , I was sad but that was last year so I'm supposed to let it go LOL thanks for the vid
i find the best prevention for scours is to get the pairs out somewhere clean, and if you do get scours going isolate the sick ones from the general population immediately. do not let any more new calves near where the sick ones were.

The heifer she had a cute calf but like you said they will protect their calf and looked like re ready to run at you and it better to clear and leave her alone.

I live in little town St.Clements, 7 klms from Crosshill, a cattle depot. they brought new used steel fence panels in , not painted, possibly 3" pipe heavy than abugger. they look like yours.. are they oil pipe. anyways Thanks for now.

I can see why they are getting sick.We went from -20 yesterday to plus 8 today.The temperature fluctuations are hard on everything.
Yea very hard on them.. its -30 tonight.... up to above freezing next week

Still have a few but they get over it with one treatment. Yes they are oil rig pipe... 2 and 3 eights pipe

We sell them all in the fall... Oct.....and we just keep a few heifers as replacments..
What's the name of the bolus pills. May give them a try if needed.
CalfSpan Tablets... They are working pretty good.. you give them 2 for 100lbs one time.
When I see how much it must cost you per head of cattle makes me feel a little better paying. $15 for a ribeye at the grocery store
