Did you have any problems with the motor, as a number of different people said that sometimes the motor cuts out for no reason, I Guys mate had problems from the last video, just wondering if this is something that owners should be aware of, great place to find out fb and Web sites 🙂
@@crazybaker1 no issues whatsoever. I think Fazua has made a lot of improvements to motor/software. I ride with 2 other Heckler Sl's and no problems yet.
Got mine in October, sold my Trek Rail. Silent motor, no issues. Downhill dead silent. Rail is more enduro downhill machine and is more supple from the top, SL is an agile, poppy trailbike. Put it in hi position due to pedal and BB strikes, even better in our rocky Alps terrain. I downsized (177cm long legs on M) after trying it, we have a lot of sharp, steep switchbacks. 1000m uphill about 5-7min slower (depends on terrain). Rail full power uphill 1700m, SL 1200m. Absolutely love the agility, close to my biobike. With 10mm more suspension it would be even better in my opinion. Thx for the infos!! Especially the IP weatherproofness! Didn't know.
Had a brief whizz around on one and definitely agree it's fun. Rode well, jumped really nicely and the rear end suspension was pretty incredible - felt plush over roots etc. without being soft when climbing. My only question or concern is how the fancy rear linkage deals with British weather and mud, longer term?
The fancy rear linkage is on all Santa Cruz's except the new Valla - I have the heckler full fat emtb for the last 2 years and have had zero problems with it in all the muck of Ireland!
Thanks for the review. I’m looking at the XO build with the fox performance suspension and maven silver brakes. Also comes with reserve carbon rims. Any thoughts on these rims?
It funny that this was on my list next buy after the Whyte E-lite 140 Works I just returned to wheelbase very bad quality for £11.000, but my bike shop nr me said they may have something that will interest me to test out, so I decide to wait and see, the test out video was great, thanks for letting us know about water problems that could turn up 😊 Laters
@GuyKesTV this is the main problem in this video short th-cam.com/users/shortsQnd3WJlI7ZI?si=irRby2aZPBAARcrG and the frame had a dent in the side, paint off some of the other parts, and I know the Invis kit was put on by a cowboy, I was very surprised about Whyte bikes which did f all, and as for wheelbase ran by d...ks, I think at £11,000 very poor service from them both, it makes you think why the bike industry is in a bad way, it's not how I run my business 😀
Such a great bike! 400km's and no issues. Does everything so well, and as you say, doesn't feel like an e-bike. Couldn't be happier!

That’s great user feedback, thanks so much
super fun little play around trials style bike. if i could only have one bike, id sell all my others.. love it
I agree with everything you have said. My saying is more smiles per mile. Thx for this great review.
Looks so good. How many miles and elevation did you manage to get out of the bike on your ride? Thanks!
So is this alot better than the og heckler?
Since the battery is really no removal able should i go with the og?.
Thanks for another great video.
Lower power/lower cadence Fazua versus higher power/high cadence SX motor. Do they feel similar in that 80/90 rpm range that most people ride in?

@@mattw1406 absolutely great rims. Tough, nice ride feel, proper lifetime warranty 👌🏻
how do you change battery?
Great review. I’ve owned my S for a few weeks now. Been loving it apart from the brakes. Any recommendations for upgrade?
In the UK I’d go for Hope Tech E4. Great brakes, great back up. Shimano Saint are super reliable with tons of power too.

Interesting. What didn't you like about the Whyte mate?

I’m on a giant e reign and my mate has a heckler Sl. I took it for a spin and said damn I purchased the wrong bike haha
Ah damn, you'll have to swap and see if he notices
Just bought one and the only issue I'm having is setting up of the fork.
Any tips ?
@@paulbeswetherick4261 there are fork and suspension set up guides on the SC website 👍🏻 www.santacruzbicycles.com/en-GB/bikes/heckler-sl
Be nice to see a comparison against the Mondraker Dune
I’ll have a word with the Mondraker folks ASAP
Nice Review! What about seizing - what is your body height?
I'm 5 foot 10 / 180cm and the large was spot on for me
that actually looks really good since you can't tell it's an ebike
