Childcare apprenticeships

Ella, 19 is doing her Level 3 NVQ childcare apprenticeship at Treetops nursery in Dudley. She shows us around as the three to four year-olds get stuck into dancing, playing and getting messy with lots of paint and goo!
"Before I started my apprenticeship life was boring," she says. "I couldn't get a job with no skills or qualifications." Ella always wanted to work with children, so after a failed attempt at getting into hairdressing she did a course and took the plunge on a childcare apprenticeship. Now she's the proud owner of an Apprenticeships Award and is looking to become an early years teacher or a midwife.
