So glad to see this on the BA&F channel! Legendary fan 💯
    A few notes:
    • This fan is from April of 1988
    • Pull chain fob is 100% factory
    • Fairly sure it ran on high reverse from December 1995 through approximately 2012-15
    • Slworking filmed it in 2010.
    • MJ was born there in 1959.
    • The police station "next door" moved into the newest wing of St. Mary's after it closed. They had to keep the power partially on in the old wing since it was on the same meter. I assume they eventually had to separate it out due to severe short circuiting and flood-related problems in the old wing. Power was cut somewhere around 2012-15 from what I could find.
    • This mighty CEC actually did not need as much TLC as I feared. I treated the bearings with ZoomSpout to loosen them up, and the original reverse switch was shot so I replaced it. Capacitor and pull chain are original!

    • The Casablanca Classic (1981 model IIRC) almost certainly was running on medium in Slworking's video.
    • At some point while the Emerson was powered, it got wet due to roof leaks...and this fried the medium speed coil. So there was a short time where the Casa Classic was getting power but had fried. Luckily with the way Emerson made those old stack motors, the medium speed coil is basically its own set of coils...so since the high speed one was not energized when it got water, high still works. Low speed was originally attained using a capacitor on the medium coil, so we just moved it to the high speed coil and now low works too. So basically it's Blender style right now, high/off/low/off.
    • Emerson needed bearing work (and wiring modification obviously)
    • I kept it!

The first MasterCraft (GEV) was on the same floor as the other two, but was on the opposite end. That one was in b a d physical shape, but needed literally nothing mechanically. I kept this one. Replaced blades and irons.

The other MasterCraft (weird Homestead/Key Largo type housing) was in a completely different part of the building. Chandrew kept that one.

Nice to see this fan again! I was there for the test at the Barn with Dan, Rick and Metal Pete back in February. I knew this fan had come out of some abandoned building in Gary but I didn't know the full story until recently!
