5:12 as many kids and young people are watching, let me explain the 'Chappal and electric shock relation' in a very simplistic way.
Explanation for kids.
Think as if electric on the wall electric board is looking at you to use you as a wire to travel from the wall board to the floor of your room. When you are standing on the floor bare feet and touch an electric socket, you complete a circuit(a path through which electric can travel to earth), thus electric flows from wall board to room floor through your body.
This is when you experience a shock. When you are wearing a ' chappal ' is cuts the circuit by seperating your feet and floor because it is made of a non-conductive(something that doesn't let electricity or heat to flow) material, rubber. This is called an insulator, which prevents electric to flow through it. Because it stops electric to flow into floor, you don't get shock.
Point to remember:
* Electric use you just like a cable to travel into the floor of your room.
* you block the connection by putting a rubber 'chappal' between your feet and floor.
* It is not chappal but the material that blocks electric flow. A chappal or anything made of Wood, glass, rubber, plastic, nylon, cotton will work same way.
* chappal made of any metal will not help you as it can't block electric flow.
* Any ' chappal ' soaked in water will not work also because here water will flow electricity around the 'chappal'.
* You can't get electric shock unless you are connected with ground.
* birds sitting on train electric line don't get electric shock as they are not connected with ground.
This explanation is only for kids just to have a concept on this 'chappal mystery' and for aparna and for her teacher too . Just kidding.
