I loved performing Cilla on the stars in their eyes 24 years ago now will never forget it and feel honoured to have been allowed to do it I still do tribute work from time to time and sing cilla all the time at karaoke🤩

Hi Kazz, did you get a reaction from the real cilla black after your performance on television?
@@dominicwalker9824 no I didn’t Dominic but she did give permission for me to do it and I have met her 3 times before I did stars

@@kellygorton-smith208 Thank you Kelly I was doing a tribute on Sunday sang nine songs and it went down a storm I feel very humbled everybody calls me cilla when I walk in the pub anyway so pretty much feel like her now days what I did find very touching was I sang don’t answer me and somebody cried I know that sounds odd but it makes it all worthwhile when you could touch someone like that with her beautiful songs😢xxx

Jacqui Abbott was good, but Cilla was spot-on. She, Kate Bush, Gary Numan and Sandie Shaw should all have made the final that year. All were beaten by people impersonating more ‘current’ artists, and I wonder if that had anything to do with how the audience voted.

That’s why the show isn’t on anymore. It needs to move with the times.

NEVER HEARD OF CILLA BLACK AND IF THIS IS WHAT THE ORIGINAL SOUNDS LIKE NOT A FAN! ANDY WILLIAMS WAS OK, BUT THE SONG WAS TOO SAFE. BOBBIE GOLSBORO?
