@@24james most dirigibles don't look or function like a balloon, if you're such an expert you should try to inform the people around you, not mislead them. In my opinion this isn't a dirigible at all lol, there is no obvious mechanism for steering or deflating/reinflating the balloon. Idk what the guy is going on about.

Reminds me of the balloon tests carried out by Japan during WW2. Those balloons were intended to scare Americans and with any luck cause severe damage. As we learned after the war from their scientists there was a much greater purpose; test the concept and jet streams in preparation for balloons that would wage chemical and biological war on American civilians. (In World War 2, imperial Japan attacked Chinese civilians with plague, cholera, anthrax, glanders and other diseases, killing thousands.)

Japan did use this very same technique to attack US soil during WWII and actually killing 2 civilians. They even put in a simple timer and calculated on how long it would take for the balloon to reach America (3 days) and release the payload, all of this back in 1940’s so imagine what else they can do today. So not crazy as you think!
