    I put 800 miles on my first pair of the Next% in the Ekiden Zoom colorway! They’re still holding together well. They are also still my favorite shoe, so I decided to get the Next% 2!

      Wow . I thought I was going well with 850kms on my Next%.. also still going but outersole is running a bit thin in the rear. I am a bit of of heal striker.

    Just got this one on Black Friday sale. I find that the fit is tight for me in my normal size. When I run around in them with no socks they are perfect!! I think I may have to use ultra lightweight socks for racing.

    Great shoe. Biggest problem is that the lateral midsole - black rubber - wears out really quick.

    I would love to see Nike now update the Alphafly. My wishlist would be slightly smaller, less prominent air pod, and trim a little here there to make it lighter.

      I'd like to see a wider base.
      To me they feel very unstable.
      I'd be a lot more confident to run long distances in the "normal" vaporfly.

    I think Eluid is picking based on Nike marketing. Alphafly won’t be updated till next year so there is no need for additional marketing at this point.

    If I weren’t such a penny pincher (ok, “cheapskate”) I would be all over this shoe. The value hound in me just won’t let me go there, and there’s no way I’m going to find a great deal on eBay. Guess I’ll be hoping for that with the Metaspeed and go 2nd best instead!

      @@garysailors Gotcha. Good luck. The MetaSpeed is harder to find than the Next% 2. Asics even says on their site they are only producing limited numbers.

    Love the fact that your reviews are honest as you give the pros and cons of each shoe you review. Also, what do you find to be the most durable run shoe?

      We can guess on durability, but with as many shoes as we review we rarely get over 200 miles on any shoe.

    I just got another pair for CAD $160= US $130, women shoes size 10.5 is on sale, it is the same as mens size 9. I guess they made too many large women shoes than demand and I am lucky that I can take advantage of that.

    Vaporfly Next % at $200 versus Vaporfly Next % 2 at $250...to be used for Half Marathon and lesser distances. Which would you choose?

    Smile on my face too...until they split on the bottom in two places between the pebax and hard rubber, almost a cm deep! There's no way I can run in them!

    Not sure if you're going to see this, but I believe Eliud Kipchoge now chooses the Vaporflys over the Alphaflys because for his breaking 2 project he used a prototype of the Alphafly that was a lot better than the Vaporfly, but that model was banned by the World Athletics. This is just what I have heard though, you should look further into it if you want to find the absolute truth.

    I went up 1/2 a size in the last vaporfly and have just sent the metaspeed skye back because my size was too short. Do you think I should go up again in this one. My other Nikes are all true to size.

      Robbe ran his first couple marathons in the Brooks Launch and Nike Pegasus. No need for this shoe off the bat, but definitely treat yourself down the road!

    I'm sorry but I think I'm over the vaporfly next%. Been there done that, and I'm not go to be running any races. The rebel v2 is where it's at. I've already ordered a second pair. The shoe has that same magical feeling that makes you want to run faster

      Have both & they are both great, but feel different to me because one has a plate one doesn’t. Closest Nike shoe to the rebel V2 is the Peg Turbo (RIP) IMHO low stack & really run to run in.

      Also just got the rebel v2 and it’s all me of the best shows I’ve ever owner!
      I had a slack couple of years with running and still yet to own a carbon shoe.. feels like for racing they’re now essential

      That is my current combo.. Vaporflys for when I really want to go fast and Rebel for just about everything else. Agree the rebel feels really nice.. very natural feel and also light and fast..

    Preferred the FK version to the OG which I got at release - much better lockdown and support in the FK. Next % didn't work for me no support from the upper. Just got the Next% 2 ...here is hoping. I preferred the AlphaFly to the Next% OG.

    I don’t have wide feet, but I used to size up by half a size with the original Next % to avoid toe crunching towards the end of a race. With the new upper, do you think it’s still necessary to size up?

      I've always worn 9.5 in Nikes (mid-wide feet), but for the VF2 I had to size up to 10 even though I'm wearing very thin socks

    Hi guys , I love your reviews ! How is it possible that my next%2 are 2 grams lighter tan the next%1? All TH-camrs says that next2% are little bit heavier , but not mine ....next%2 219 GRS on my USA size 11.5 vs 221 on the next%1 at the same size 🤷🏻‍♂️

      @@thorproductions1488 I’m not an expert , but in winter the foot contracts and in summer dilates due to temperatures,you can try half size up and play with the 🧦 socks !😉

      I think it was supposed to help with comfort or something, but Im not sure...SJD didnt like them though, swapped them for the laces from the 1st version

      @@GoSlowToGoFastOG meta speed sky is not really available. I tried to get one this morning and it was sold out quick. Asics has said they will limit production. They don't want everyone running in their new shoe. That statement has blown my mind, asics have made a mistake. They must think their Nike. People will move on to another shoe

      @@kimwarner6050 you're sorely mistaken. Asics is limiting production because the marathon racing flat is a limited market. Their mainstream models will outsell the Metaspeed Sky by far. Which is why they are producing fewer of it, relative to their other models.

      @@kimwarner6050 I check the ASICS site at 12:05 EST and it t said releasing soon. I woke up at 5am EST and all sizes were sold out. My guess is it released at 0300 am EST and sold out immediately and I doesn’t look like they will be making much more. running warehouse may still have some sizes still left for 5/22 delivery. I ordered a men’s 10.5 from running warehouse but I really wanted to order from ASICS because of the ridiculous 40% military discount.

    The $225 price has been cited by every youtube review as an advantage/improvement, yet Nike still lists $250 on its website despite the “coming soon” status 🤷🏻‍♂️

    The upper looks like it’s going backwards for water retention, and will be similar to the FK 4%. Did you do the submerge water test on these?

      @@Believeintherun Never had a problem with Nike sizing and it feels like there’s a couple mm’s of space at the tips of my toes… They feel like the perfect fit, Hence the confusion when my toenails feel like they’re going to fall off after the first run!

    Word of warning guys!, girls often do not like being called tiny or cute.;-). They are often big personalities in a small body, and do not take kindly to being seen as small & cuddly. Trust me I made this mistake myself. We’re all just ‘people’ in varying shapes and sizes with one sexual organ or another, but our brain outlook often mismatches what we look like to what ‘society’ assumes we should be like given our appearance.Just saying;-).

    Is overrated and over marketed. The higher the stack height and the narrower the heel.. The more unstable. Kipchoge could have got his time in sandals!!😁👍
