found your work from the grimdark compendium and i absolutely love it. thanks for sharing all your great work us all. i always said i would build an eldar army if they ever made plastic warp spiders, so here i go. i am going with the Yme-Loc paint scheme and i am getting some villainy inks to mess around with enamels for the first time. thanks for the inspiration.
Love the darker red. This looks way more realistic than the brighter scheme used by GW. I really want to start adding candles to my minis now. You did an awesome job. Thanks for sharing!!
EMPEROR DAMN that is a fine paint scheme. Playing Space Marine 2 has really made me want to do a lil space marine army, and I've been pondering what chapter I want to go for. Blood Angels was one of the top contenders (I do love me some Red & Gold), and this video has made me REALLY consider going for it. I want my colourschemes to be easy to do, since i have to do alot of it, and this seemed doable enough!
@@TheFeralPainter I don't mind the airbrushing (although I would probably go Black to White ink for zenithal). For one your recipe looks amazing, for second, it's mostly the details that I always get bogged down in 😅. So I'm gonna see if I can simplify it for the rank and file, and use this mostly on characters :D
This is what these models are supposed to look like. That's amazing. I have no idea why people go so overboard on edge highlighting. Does not look natural at all.
Could you do a word bearers tutorial? I absolutely love the whole evil religious cultist vibe they have, and that burgundy with tarnished silver trim color scheme is just awesome. I think it would go ESPECIALLY well with the grungy grimdark aesthetic you give your pieces.
Great video. I have found using the Citadel technical base crackle paints great for creating interesting textures. You can feather it out nicely just using water too. Really easy to do and looks great
Great work as always. Suggestion: Models that go on the table top generally need varnish, which totally changes the way light reacts with the model. Would be great to see you work some varnish techniques into your vids.
Hay man thanks for the visit, yes i do often talk alot about varnishs. And i do use multiple varnish on some minis especially surface finish variation. Also i dont play and this channel is more for the painting for display. Grimdark compendium have a great video on varnishing make sure u check it out 👌🏻 thanks again hope ur well
I LOVE the modeling/conversion bits of your vids. Could you provide amazon links (or another site) for the hobby tools you use? Like that wire and such? Would be hugely beneficial to the community.
Hi buddy apologies i thought id done it 🙈. But it the blood angel upgrade sprew (new one) And some 3d printed candels. (Green stuff world) sell some too that are great
Your work is stunning and super inspiring. Your Dark Angels are crazy good. And those Blood Angels are incredible. Do you take commissions ? I'd love to order stuff from you !
New to your channel and learning more about painting before I get into it myself. How do you feel the results of contrast paints differ between brushing on and airbrushing?
this is awesome, love the grim dark style. if you ever have some time could you make a colour recipe for african skin in the grim dark style. working on a celestial lion project but im stumped on the head :(
Another great video. Just curious what do you clean your airbrush with when you’ve sprayed enamel and/or Tamiya paints through it? Got various opinions but wouldn’t mind hearing your feedback. Aloha!
Tamiya i use there thinner 1st then water or airbrush cleaner. For enamels i do use a different airbrush however just clean with mineral spirits. Then every so often I deep clean with isopropyl alcohol 99%
yep,.......like your style,.....finnaly I subscribed,........thanks for all your vids,.........where can I buy or order villain ink? greetings from The Netherlands
So weird idea, but what about priming white followed by a coat or neon green, then do your grey zenithal and then mix some gold in with the titanium white for your pre-highlights... then everything else the same. I know that priming a contrasting color is supposed to give a more interesting shadow, but what if you push the vibrancy on that shadow color to the extreme?
Mm not sure about the process. If u want more vibrant shadows use either red ink or spray a very saturated dark purple into shDows. This gives more depth and saturation.
Never been much of a fan of the traditional Blood Angels scheme, but they look so much better in this deeper red. The armour texture looks great too, definitely going to give that a go..
Thanks man! Gonna make a 2k army in this scheme totaly love it😁 do you spray less red tears on legs to darken more on this mini or same layer everywhere?🙏
Same everywhere, 2/3 layers. It gos on a little orange and red at first. Then after first layer gos nice and red saturated. For the shadows its all in the pre shade.
You fuck us !!!!! First you give us the amazing tutorial for world eaters that I tested and worth every minute and now this !!!!! I could say easy with some orange highlights could be an awesome alternative for world eaters scheme!!!!!!!!

Yea honestly for an army id just prime them all in the red rattle can and skip the whole other steps 👍🏻👍🏻

it would be really cool to see what he would do with the original grey color scheme too, or their librarians with the grey armor and gold trim.
Once again, this is really beautiful, grim as it should be👍🤟

Love this. Looks very fleshtearers
Thanks
Absolutely love this. General priming question... What grey primer would you recommend for a rattle can?
If u can get coulor forge. Get standard grey. Or alternatively citadel mechaninicus grey
@@TheFeralPainter great, thanks!

@@TheFeralPainter how about the wire?
@@TheFeralPainter PS thank you for doing more blood angels!
Love your work dude. Decided to experiment with the grimdark myself. What sort of wire do you wrap round the mini and how do you secure it?
Just craft wire. And super glue or tight wrap
@@TheFeralPainter thanks for responding!
Beautiful work! Where are the candles from?
3d printed. However green stuff world etc make them

Just standard airbrush thinner, i use vallejo
COOOOOL

Another question 😅 how would you incorporate the Flesh Tearers scheme into this with the black paildrons and helmets?
Not sure buddy its not a scheme ive done. Just paint shoulders black i guess 😂🙈
@@TheFeralPainter I'll use the black armour recipe from the Death Company video then 😅
Do you think you'll do an angro tutorial? id like to see how to do grim dark red skin using the villany inks line.
Maybe
Where do you get the miniature candles???
These are 3d printed. However green stuff world sell them too. There awesome. I prefer the green stuff world ones. And there skulls 👌🏻

Hay man! Either from element games or my affiliate link. Or directly from them. As ur in Europe area. Possibly pk pro shop
Can you do this with Dark Angels? I enjoyed the speed painting version but id love to go in depth like this.
Already multiple dark angel videos here 👌🏻
@TheFeralPainter I was drunk last night when I asked that. I know for a fact I have watched all of them. 😂
That barrel is taking the grim dark out of it for me
Sorry u felt that way
What mineral spirits do you use?
Oderless

Absolutely
I am starting a Mortifactors chapter and want to do grim dark. Would like to see how you would do that
I am gonna try your red recipe on Battletech mechs for 2nd Sword of Light. Thier mechs are red! Wish me Luck!
