I am Transylvanian (ethnic Hungarian from Romania) and I discovered this song the first time I visited Skopje, Macedonia. We were in the historic central area, and as we were taking in the strong Balkan vibes (beautiful buildings, bit too much gold haha), this song started playing from one of the restaurant terraces. And I had like a flow experience. It instantly felt like the perfect soundtrack for what I was feeling and experiencing at that very moment. And I just smiled and was like yeah, *now* we have arrived in Skopje. I Shazamed it right there and been listening to it ever since. And I got the goosebumps just writing this down.
Brass orchestra, beautifully remixed. Only if you were born in the Balkans, or have lived here and shared the life (good and bad), you will get the goose bumps.
While playing an online video game with 5 Croatians who heard this song over my headset. They asked me what it was and told me to TURN IT UP!! I was surrounded by all 5 Croatians who were hopping around me in circles. A memory I wont ever forget lol
Yeah, they probably thought you were Turkish or Serbian because Croatians aren't Balkan(meaning turkish blood and culture). There's a possibility that they were making fun of you because they thought thay you were Balkan(and maybe you are, I don't discriminate) because of that music.
I worked at a fancy restaurant and they would play this song often. I ran around cleaning cleaning tables and often in step with this beat. Grab the cups put them on the tray, run to the dish pit, run back and wipe the table, set it with mats, cups, plates, and roll ups (silverware) and then repeat that all night.
This is similar to all our Balkan countrys tradicional music and NO matter where we come from we have it the blood...i just hope you enjoy this song as much as i do...salute to all
I have no ties to the Balkans whatsoever. But I found this banger on Spotify and got hooked ever since. As a result of this song, I now absolutely love the Balkans.
You know, when you take two things one in each hand and you spin them in opposite directions so fast you can't see them anymore. That's the feeling I get from this song, thanks for sharing!
This is so incredibly beautiful... Style of music I usually listen to... My daughter just shared this with me today... I can't stop listening... Salute
Rita Dougherty I love your music relationship with your daughter. It so rare. My daughter is 17 and sneaks songs into my playlists. I just wanted to share how beautiful your message was. I felt it.
How many times to I have to like this before it stays permanently??? I've been listening to this beat for years! I've had to relike it about 4 times, now!
Really like this tune. Is it in the style of a Balkan musical genre? If so, what is this genre called? Don't know if anyone else would agree, but parts of it remind me of tango and other parts remind me of Mexican band music.
isn't it very cool how Balkan countries are so alike and different at the same time? Lke,we are one but have so many unique traditions that differs from the neighbouring nations and despite of the history and all bad things that happened to us we can see that we all have common stuff uniting us ^-^
what da fuck you talking about you useless piece of shit macedonia is macedonia we have our own cultur language traditon we are our own we have nothing to do with greece
Why do I keep putting a cigar in my mouth and strutting around in slow motion when this plays? You know, with the chicken wing arms and the up-down eyebrows.. am I the only one again?
i see this when im gonna kill anothed friend roped tight in chair in my basement with one light whild my cigar is in my mouth and dancin, and at the last 10 sec of this song their catchin breath while my axe is in their neck (sorry for bad english)

At least they didn't ethnically cleanse you.
