That first "Pause For Effect" is super cool, I love it when there are games that can take a long time to compete but it only takes a long time to complete became of your lack of knowledge on how to complete it, it makes more playthroughs almost usless but there is nothing like the feeling of completing it the first time and realizing that the answer was right next to you from the beginning, truly unique way of making a game.
That first level felt a lot like one of those tests they gave us in elementary school that has about 800 instructions on it, and at the end the last instruction says "now that you've read the whole test, only follow instructions 3 and 7, and hand it in."
I don't get how someone so thick can have a popular TH-cam channel. Also, having to ask chat for the solutions. Why not just give chat the controller like in Twitch plays Dark Souls? Also, if most of chat can figure out the solution, that just makes it worse. Chat should be hosting the stream!
I've learned to use the double tap to jump 5 seconds forward every time Dave dies and it usually picks up about right where he left off. And a little skipping around in that level definitely helped make it seem shorter! Watching him stream a level like that and how long it would take would be kind of painful. It's a lot more fun to play when it takes that long than it is to watch.
hey dave, the guy who made pause for effect also made another really cool level you might've heard of called Why are you stealing from ruins, you should check it out
It’s so painful watching Dave play that first level. The clues are super obvious and he just doesn’t comprehend. I swear his 171 IQ was measured by one of those post people share on Facebook.
Really cool level design. But Dave after 2 seconds of looking at the clue: "I give up let me read chat for the answer while complaining that it doesn't make sense."
Thanks for taking the time to play these insane levels so people like me (who have zero patience for this sort of thing) can enjoy them! And I also appreciate that you don't spew cuss words throughout. Your levelheadedness and skills make this very enjoyable and make me want to keep coming back for more!
Dave, I want you to know that I received an ad for Red Baron Pizza while watching this video. It's great to see your channel supporting such excellent Itallian cuisine.
15:40 solution to USB Hole issue…get a usb extension where you can have more usb options. (There’s another name for it but I’m drawing a blank on it) @DGR
How many devices do have to have plugged in USB for streaming? I have never done it but my tower only has 4 (6 I guess if you count the dedicated ones that are for keyboard and mouse) and I've never used more than 2, one for a SNES style controller and one for headphones.
Not just you; I was confused af. I’m also willing to bet a bunch of the people claiming it was super obvious were lost, too. Cause there’s nothing so validating as claiming superiority in a space where nobody can prove you wrong.
OMG!! Not only are you giving up on understanding the clues, but you even struggle to find the position of the hidden blocks after chat has basically said where it is
Dave complaining about having only 6 USB ports. You know you can buy USB hubs, right? Add more ports? It's what I do. Even a shitty cheap 2.0 hub will do for your simple devices (keyboards, mouses, etc.) so they all can fit in a single port, and plug anything that needs high speed (external hard drives, and capture devices) into the remaining 5. And if that's not enough, then get a 3.0 hub (but don't get it from a cheap supplier, I made that mistake myself, my 3.0 hub has 4 ports, but three of them are 2.0 in disguise). It would certainly save you the pain of device swapping and having to remember to plug it in, and forgetting until 3 hours into a stream that your camera's not plugged in.
honestly mm1 was an amazing game as well as all wii u games, just a shame me and a couple thousand others got screwed by buying all wii u games that switch would just make completly useless and then not afford switch. lol
The main mechanic of the level is hint rooms where you're supposed to pause the game at a certain time. When moving objects line up in the correct way, some other moving object will reveal the location of a hidden block that lets you progress.

Troll levels must have abused his brain too much so now he struggles with simple puzzle levels
he has trust issues now
That pause level would be a rare time that a level viewer ruins it. What a cool level!
That first level felt a lot like one of those tests they gave us in elementary school that has about 800 instructions on it, and at the end the last instruction says "now that you've read the whole test, only follow instructions 3 and 7, and hand it in."
dave was making me rage at my screen hard in the first level
Seriously. That was painful to watch.
Jesus you weren’t kidding 😂
Yeah that was a struggle lmao.
I don't get how someone so thick can have a popular TH-cam channel.

That seems to happen in almost every vid I see of him lol
9:20 - Dave: Where was that at?
Me with the hand pointing at the donut: It is right there!!!
Watching DGR is quite like watching Dora the Explorer in a number of ways lol
This is such a creative level! Pausing to progress through! Bravo to the creator!
If that first level had been any longer, I would have had an aneurysm
It was cool but insanely long. It was half the video.

I remember seeing Carl play that level. It was solid.
It’s so painful watching Dave play that first level. The clues are super obvious and he just doesn’t comprehend. I swear his 171 IQ was measured by one of those post people share on Facebook.
From what I understand, it basically was lol. Just some random site on the internet that claims to measure IQ.
"super obvious"
Episodes like this really display just how much of a dingus Dave really is.
I have trouble with these episodes.. like.. am i missing something or are these kinda.. sorta... maybe.. politelyyy easy puzzles?
Really cool level design.
But Dave after 2 seconds of looking at the clue: "I give up let me read chat for the answer while complaining that it doesn't make sense."
Maybe because it doesn't?

Still popping content out even after the 24 hour stream (which was awesome btw)
Love this guy!
Pre-recorded and great thanks to Chris! I think there was one little spot where he mentioned Halloween, so this was a ways back that it was taped.
That first level was a rough ride lol. Must’ve been tired from a 24 hour stream or something
Dave, I want you to know that I received an ad for Red Baron Pizza while watching this video. It's great to see your channel supporting such excellent Itallian cuisine.
I wish he played this on his own.
Dave, I think you should get your money back for that IQ test.
15:30 - could someone tell Dave there's a dark magic device called "USB Hub"?
Edit: Well, I just did it on his Twitch stream 😁
14:01
Well Dave, you see...... Nintendo needs that 10$ to sue people who make Mario games
That’s the coolest mechanic used for a level
there's literally 1 gimmick and dgr understood zero of the puzzles and never even TRIED to learn lmao
Maybe the best vibe to level I have ever seen, esp that muncher room.
Has anyone really tried to create the most unnerving level?
20:00 is the best choke I've seen in a while
He did build choke city on Mario
WR 4 secs. Common sense says the key would be near the door.😂😂😂😂
For those that don't know. Happy Gilmore, is a movie. The characters name in it, is Happy Gilmore. His first name is Happy.
Ive been watching Dave for years now and seriously, this pause level has to be top 5 ever (creativity) wow!!
I’m not gonna lie your channel is dominating a lot of my TH-cam time every day and I spent a lot of time on this app
The first level os so creative, and the best Mario Maker level, even though it was made like 7 years ago 🤯🤯
I was yelling at my screen, "USB Hub!"
Pause for Effect might very well be the FIRST "modern" troll level, only with extremely benevolent creator.
15:40 solution to USB Hole issue…get a usb extension where you can have more usb options. (There’s another name for it but I’m drawing a blank on it) @DGR

🎶 Just stop, wait-a-minute. This creator the smart creator has made something interesting. He has made a level that has to be the most best level. 🎶
is it just me but i couldn't figure out that level either.
Not just you; I was confused af. I’m also willing to bet a bunch of the people claiming it was super obvious were lost, too. Cause there’s nothing so validating as claiming superiority in a space where nobody can prove you wrong.
Watching him play pause for effect was a brutal experience
Omg could you imagine hanging out w Dave after watching Austin Powers?!?
Dave: Can I buy you a USB splitter to help you with your computer issues so you don’t have to deal with switching?
OMG!! Not only are you giving up on understanding the clues, but you even struggle to find the position of the hidden blocks after chat has basically said where it is
That pause one is so clever what the heck
OK, THIS is the one I saw live.
Just think of how many levels Dave wouldn't beat if it wasn't for the Chat
"The one by the ice block!" 🤣🤣🤣
Kid Icarus Uprising IS indeed a great game. However, if you want to 100% it, you will need a near flawless skill level.
11:42 thats trippy
The first level made me think of Tunic.
Dave, I don't know if anyone mentioned this...but they sell USB Hubs that allow you to turn one port into like 4 or more.
7 ad breaks later, I finally reached the end of the video
He flew too close to the sun on wings of pastrami.
After struggling on 3:15 and chat giving the answers I couldn't handle this anymore and I rage quit this video.
that had the same energy as showing your mom a meme.
the first level was a perfect example of DGR's 171 iq at work lol
"Get blown, son!" -DGR Dave
15:45 Dave doesnt know he can buy USB hubs and extend up to 128 USB devices. (Though it will eventually tax your CPU)
You guys should know there's such things as USB splitters after you've read this, right?
This level is giving me serious doubts about Dave's 171 IQ...

6 is a pretty common number of USB ports. And if you need more, surely you can use a hub
Hi dgr Dave, love you!
I'm starting to question this so called "171 IQ"
Dave's, uh, not much of a thinker, is he? Lol Very impatient.
When you realize that this first level is essentially Myst in mario maker
11:32 ...
Today's levels felt nostalgic😊
That was such a creative level
@DGR open up your PC and add USB expansion to one of the pcie slots
15:49 Doesn't a USB hub solve that problem?
Lol I didnt understand any of the hints besides the doughnut dropping towards the pipe, was so lost the entire vid
mario maker 1, you will not be lost in time
#DGR did u know theres a program for absulutly free called pretendo
honestly mm1 was an amazing game as well as all wii u games, just a shame me and a couple thousand others got screwed by buying all wii u games that switch would just make completly useless and then not afford switch. lol
Pause level is 11-10 quality 🤌🏼 that last level was cheeks ngl, what was that ending?!
dave, 6 usb slots on a pc isnt bad
"Get blown, son."
Uhhhhhhhhhhhh.................
what's gool is that i played a lot of these levels on my 3DS
sounds like dave needs a usb hub
get an expansion card for your computer so that you can have more usb ports on it
MARIO LOVE❤ GGG🎉🎉
first level already played by Freak&Geek ?
when Grand Poo World 3 ?
Sometimes Dave has the object permenance of a 5 year old. And that's okay, we still appreciate him :)
Supposedly, the first level makes sense, somehow. Can anyone try to explain that one to me?
The main mechanic of the level is hint rooms where you're supposed to pause the game at a certain time. When moving objects line up in the correct way, some other moving object will reveal the location of a hidden block that lets you progress.
@CosmicPlatonix Oh ok. Thank you
Posting a random comment....
FOR THE ALGORITHM!!!! ❤
This comment section is making me feel dumb 'cause I honestly didn't get the clues either in the beginning... 😅 It took me more than I care to admit
first comment, sending good vibes to you DGR

Super cringe the first level… sorry Dave. 😂
Wassup
Oof
I couldn't do this at all
amboutakamm
All the arrogant people on here...
hello early gang
Waddup
Hi
Haven’t watched Austin Powers? Unsubscribe
This level is giving me serious doubts about Dave's 171 IQ...
