You surely know the significance of yellow and red cards when they are brandished by a referee during a football game. And we already talked about the possibility of a potential orange card being introduced into the game. In case you missed that one, you can check it out here. But now, there are talks about yet another card that may be introduced into the game - the green card.

I believe the 2nd Green Card is the best.
Send off the player, allow substitutes and no temporary match ban.
The only issue is it's green - maybe make it blue or something, because green signifies positivity.
It should then be orange instead of green. Since orange is the mix of yellow and red, it could serve that purpose of sending out a player with allowing a substitute to replace him.

Green card must be for the sent off player, but it could replace him with a new teammate. Red card rules are enough. No sin-bins at all and that would be the fairest rule for disciplining the players.
No card for exemplary behavior. Green card must be for the "replacement" of player.

It could perhaps be used for borderline yellow/red decisions where the referee has a tough choice forcing the sub rather than reducing the team by a player. Giving a clear option for these.middle of the road incidents
I believe that green card should be given for whole team at end of match and will serve for 2 purposes.
1) tiebreaker in leagues incase points and goaldifference are equal
2) team with most green cards a season will recieve a small trophy/display to respect their fairplay
It should be something beneficial but not entirely game changing as it will defo cause controversy
Adding green card as punishment just allows players to act even worse cause they think they will get away with green card instead a yellow. Plus, it makes it too confusing to what happens if u like get 2 green cards or a yellow with green card

when I was like 7-8 yrs old, I got a green card in a major competition for kids in my country.
I got it for getting a ball back for the opposing team, after it sailed pretty far from the pitch, and I ran for it even when my team was leading.

In Sweden we use the green card in games played by younger players it is given to the person who played well and did not complain about the ref or any team/player

If this was introduced as a positive card, then should we have a competition that only teams who received the card at their past games allows to join. That would be a competition with less violence in the game.

I'm against the green card! One of the best football scenarios is 2 teams having a tough fight. Take El Classico for example, the 2 teams are always having fights and disrespect wich makes the players show their full potential due to anger or seek of revenge.

I say yes! Here is what it should be used for: if a player gets a green card they can not play anymore of the game UNTIL halftime. But if it is given after halftime they are still in but can’t play until halftime for the next game. And in a tournament and team A loses and one of their players gets a green card then and it is close then TOO BAD. So that is how I think it should be used.

In handball exist Blue Card. You get it directly after direct red card for very bad behaviour and that get directly to IHF/EHF (FIFA/UEFA in handball) Referee Commission.

i feel like if a green card was issued, it should be for a bad act a little more minor than the yellow card. This would allow them to issue the orange card. Heres how being booked would look like:
Green card + green card = yellow card
green card + yellow card = orange card
green card + orange card = red card
yellow card + yellow card = red card
yellow card + orange card = red card + a green card next game
orange card + orange card = red card + yellow card next game

Other things that don't deserve a yellow card but still need to be booked
How to get an orange card: Hitting a match official or another player
Failing to listen to the referee's instructions
Other things that don't deserve a red card but are more severe than a red card

I think that a green card should be used to remove a yellow. Every player can receive a green card but only a maximum of one per game. A green card that is received will revoke a yellow so the player will once again have to earn two yellows to be ejected. A green card can be earned without any yellows and appear on the players record which can open up some incentive opportunities for good sportsmanship

Green card should be used for penalty kicks
If you were to have a green card, and the proposed orange card where would it stop. Why not just increase the yellow card to a 5min sin bin. And bring in the green if it's got to be introduced as an incentive, where the team gets an extra point so potentially 4points for a win and 2 for a draw if they show honesty and respect. That way even a losing team could gain a point? (Might not work, but no less mental than the other thoughts).
