As a father with a baby girl who was born with heart failure and is a tad development delayed I just wanted to say how much respect I have for you. I know it can be alot dealing with all that, your channel kept me and my wife occupied during many hard times like waiting for surgery to finish. Thanks for all you guys do.
When Priscilla cried about abbie picking out the toy by herself. I felt that i have to kids with autism one about to turn 5 and the other about to turn 10. I cry when they do something new it is super emotional for me because I am so proud.
Abbie in the toy aisle is literally me in the toy aisle. Find a cool thing, immediately sit down to play with it. I’m 37, autistic, and still love my toys. …honestly, no one has ever judged me, sitting on the floor at Walmart, happy as a clam, with whatever has captured my interest. Or maybe they have, but I’ve been too busy lining up Peppa toys to notice, or care. 😂 I really thought it was a me thing, and I feel less weird and alone knowing that it isn’t. Thank you 🙏 😊 *puts down iPad to go play* 💙💚💜🧡
My severely delayed 40 year old daughter never showed any interest in stuffed animals until last year, when she received an angler fish Squishmallow to add to her expansive collection...and now I catch her interacting with and petting her "friend" for the first time and it brings tears to my eyes...so I know exactly where Mom's tears came from! Those firsts mean so much!
It's the unexpected things we cry for. Sometimes, it brings us such joy when they achieve things beyond our expectations. You go Abby pick out what you want.
Mom cries at firsts I totally get. I got an email 3 months ago that talked about how my kid was starting high school next year and I turned into a giant waterfall. It doesn't matter what the first is, all of them play their part.❤️❤️❤️
It's amazing to me to get to see this loving and lovely family and how they cope with daily life. It's something I've always wondered about-just how do people cope with a child with such a disability? Heartwarming stuff.
I was so excited to see Abby shopping. Right after Thanksgiving was phoebes first trip to walmart.. it took an hour to get her in there. She tolerates the small stores in our town but a big department store scared her to death.. but once she opened her eyes in the toy department it was on...she was in awe. We let her pick out her own Christmas presents. Never even knew what she wanted. Our minds were blown. Who knew magic mixes were so entertaining.. needless to say we never left the toy section. Now we hear from her a everyday, You want to go to walmart.. .the little things...
Coming from someone who works with autistic children in the ABA field, it warmed my heart up to see her show so much interest in toys and to sit down and PLAY , that is a bigggg deal!! I am also majoring in Recreational therapy, Abby could benefit from have a recreational therapist not sure if she has tried it out.
You guys are great with your daughter love 💕 it …. All the love 💕 you show & give …,beautiful family love 💕 watching your family…..keep up the wonderful work blessings to your family…..
As a former Hair Stylist, I would agree that you start with a wet brush or large tooth comb. However, if you are someone who has sensory issues, fine motor skill issues, ADHD or Autism, the skill of brushing hair is done how it’s best for the person. The easiest is to use a detangling spray and thoroughly coat the hair, let it sit for about 60 seconds and then brush anyway you can. I’m just saying there’s many ways to accomplish the goal. The one that works for you is best. 😊❤
Oh my goodness...I felt Scilla's pride and joy in the moment that Abbie was just Scilla's little girl finding her girl toys and playing with them in the middle of the store! That is something momma has been longing to see for years.
I think it's beautiful when us moms cry over the little achievements from our growing children no matter what age. It's beautiful moment that's for sure.
I want to thank you so much for sharing your videos. You have a a beautiful family and loving family. I lost my momma a couple days ago and she was 86 she loved watching your beautiful family with me. Thank you ❤❤
It warmed my heart to see her pick out her toys! I was crying too Cilla! Those steaks look so yummy! I'm a 70's kid! But I remember all those 80 toys and games!
Abby is such a lucky young lady to have such AMAZING parents. I LOVE watching your videos. It gives me hope when it comes to my daughter who has ASD too. ❤️🙏🏻
I was born in 86 so I totally grew up in the 90s. Seeing those toys took me back. Also I have been watching your videos for a few years now and it has been such a delight watching your family grow up. With Isiah going off to college and Abbie becoming a teenager, it has been a fun adventure for all involved, I'm sure. Lots of love in the new year.
ABBY is a SUPERSTAR! She picked her own toys AND turned her cart on a dime better than I can!🤩🤩🤩👍❤️. Edit: I loved Spirograph, but sadly, I saw one at a Toy MUSEUM! (Messed me up for days!🤣🤣)
I want to tell you guys are doing so so great.!!! The patience and kindness you are bringing her up is really a great deal. I have a cousin diagnosed with autism, I saw my uncle and aunt taking care of him, devoting your time to bring a child with special needs and same time balancing life balancing other relations can be overwhelming at times. Lots of respect and love to you guys ❤
I'm so proud of Ab! I teared up when Cilla cried! My son is high functioning, but when he does an amazing job with his verbal skills it gets me every time! Go Jags!!🥰🥰 You are so extra Asa, but I love it. Ab trying to take the food was the cutest!!🥰🥰 Have a great Saturday everyone!!💚💚
My 18 yr old autistic son, he still likes Thomas the train, Polar Express, and toddler music on TH-cam. I remember all of those 80s toys!! I loved Pound Puppies as a kid, and the wheel spirograph toy was so much fun!!!! I was born in the late 70s. My favorite salad is American Salad with croutons and ranch dressing.
Cilla overwhelmed with Abbie picking out her toys so special. Well done Abbie for showing interest on the toys you chose. Sorry if I have a salad it consists of meat and boiled eggs, do not like salads full stop. Blessings to you all from me in UK.
remember to brush from the bottom of the hair and move up as it detangles to prevent hair breakage/damage also water or detangle spray can go a long way💕
LOL, I was born in 71 but I had a light Brite, a small pound puppy, a cabbage patch kid and I always wanted a spirograph. I totally remember those toys. HOW COOL!!!!!!!
This one made me laugh, cry, (I totally feel you here Priscilla) and now I'm having MAJOR flashbacks to my childhood. (Pound puppies yo!) Thanks guys. Lol 😆 #80'sBaby
Hey we sixties/seventies kids had Spirograph and Lite Brites. It nostalgia time again. Everything Retro is cool again! 😂😂 PS every time one of their voices breaks and you know the tears are there I’m crying too.
I'm a 80's baby as well (90's kid) I vaguely remember pound puppies. I more remember lite brite from daycare in the 90's~ 🎆 I was / still am drawn to anything that lights up for personal reasons. 🤷♀️✌️ I still have a small etch a sketch used to have a big red one in the 90's~ 😁✌️
I thought it was funny when you were looking at the nostalgic toys, shouting out 80s and 90s kids, because almost everything there was also around in my childhood, and I was born in 65. So many toys re-emerged for you 80s/90s kids that were definitely way older than you!
I used to rotate my sons toys, When he would get board I would bring out the tote and it would be all new toys to him again. I love that she was able to pick out toys that she was drawn too. From working with Adults with all types of disabilities and having my own child with Aspergers the little things are the biggest things to celebrate!!!!!! WTG Abby!
Blue cheese dressing. Home made , nothing compares to it. That steak looks amazing. Asa give your beautiful wife a hug. And kiss her on the top of her head. We all need hugs. ❤️😇🙏
Loooved Pound Puppies and the spin art!! Totally nostalgic!! I also have a special needs daughter though Im about your age with an 8 yr old. She has a feeding tube, been in the hospital a TON, behind in maturity. I can totally understand the emotions of those firsts, the progress and there are also tears when you feel like you've taken a step back. That was our week here.
Abby is so amazing. Growing in leaps and bounds. Cilla I’m crying right along with you. Been watching for a while and see all the progress. Way to go y’all!.😊😊😊
I like making the toys light/make noises and I'm a great grandma. Toys are great. Brushing wet hair will break it, just finger comb. There are absorption hair towels now that you can twist into a turban with a button so you can get some waves in your hair. She might like a girly thing like that. You guys are awesome parents.
I get it Pricilla I cried when my grandson asked seri to call his mommy for the first time. I took phone and called mommy for him with tear stained eyes
The magna doodle was my favorite toy growing up. I played with it for years and it finally died many years ago. I kinda one again so I can play with it while talking to friends over discord.
As a father with a baby girl who was born with heart failure and is a tad development delayed I just wanted to say how much respect I have for you. I love that Abby loves that food truck. It's so her, and it's so much more special because she chose it.
Love watching her sit down and play in the toy aisle
Abbie got a little people thing all by herself that was a huge thing for her and mom is proud.
It's the unexpected things we cry for. Sometimes, it brings us such joy when they achieve things beyond our expectations. You go Abby pick out what you want.
Spirograph...I had one in the late 60's!!! Winner!!! I am so Proud of her! I have an autistic granddaughter. I understand the emotions!!!

Well done your parenting is amazing ❤abby is a wonderful young lady and you have a wonderful family 🎉
Your an awsome family. Awsome Father!
I cried watching this also!! You are not alone!!!! Love you guys!!!!!
You need to brush wet hair from the bottom up to prevent hair breakage and tangled!!! 👍🏻❤️
Actually should use a very wide-tooth comb. Not a brush.
Also she's doing it. So criticism about how she does it not super necessary.. it will be a whole new skill to have her learn a different way.
Great job, you did it.
