When I found out about the story behind Polly, well, let’s just say I didn’t listen to it for the rest of the day. And nowadays I rarely listen to that song and instead listen to other songs like Heart-Shaped Box, and Nirvana’s cover for The Man Who Sold The World

Kurt was born just 19 days before me way back in 1967. It really hit me hard when he passed as I was only 27 with my life in front of me and he was now gone forever at 27. He’s been gone now as many years as he lived. Rest In Peace Kurt.
I personally think he added it in there coz he might have been fascinated by the thought that fish can’t feel pain so its okay to eat them, something people say quite frequently to justify their action of eating fish. Its still deep nonetheless when you think about it but thats still a good interpretation.
