Whether the line-up included Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn or Jim Root Slipknot has an infectious energy, power and brutal vocals that are full of nostalgia for me.

Please react to "Nadaramet" by Mohsen Yeganeh
thanksss for the sponsor, i really need this kind of help
Please react to Selfless by The Strokes. I hope enjoy after you react this song
Your love of Slipknot makes my heart so happy.
God I forgot the monster gutturals that Paul had! Big Day Out 05 is one of my all time fav live Slipknot performances!
He used to front a death metal band before slipknot.
WE just hosted SlipKnot here in Vancouver BC Canada. What a fantastic way to break the pandemic. The smiles on the streets after the show went on for miles.
you HOSTED?
5:07 "they're gonna jump up"
Well that's one of the cutest reactions I've ever heard to this song,
Saw these guys 6 years ago, at the front and also had to jump up! I got stuck! Luckily, ppl helped me! They are amazing live! So much energy and Corey is just brilliant!
I just saw them at KNOTFEST last year in LA they were awesome along with Killswitch engage
@@chrismunoz7859 love Killswitch. Saw them a few years ago with In Flames. Got to meet In Flames as well!
Corey's live acoustic version of this retains all the fun and works surprisingly well!
Slipknot definitely THE band from my teen years that aged the best to this day, still gets me pumped on every listen
Love your reactions Beth. Cool to see a Vol. 3 tour clip. The quality of the 2009 All Hope Is Gone tour clip is much higher, but it's been done by every man and their dog.
Can't wait to see them in Ottawa (Canada) on May 29th! It'll be my first time.
Saw them last summer in Greece(first concert of Slipknot since 2011 in Greece) and I lost my mind. We had Sepultura and Vended as well. His son also has an AMAZING vocal. This Corey had the same tone as his son has nowadays. I will never forget that day.... Plus the "Jump the F%$k Up" was performed on us and I loved it.
I can say that at that stage of Slipknot, Corey had his best voice. Then on the next album 'All Hope Is Gone' he changed his voice a bit and didn't sound as aggressive. Thank you for reacting once again to another of my favorite songs. Greetings. 👋🏻
I think it was to help his throat
Yup, to preserve his vocal chords. He likes to sing too and the chance continue to do so.. Anselmo is the other choice.. Not much got preserved to the 2000s 😢
Well.. the thing is.. in the early days he literally just screamed.. no technique, just raw aggression, screaming and alcohol.. and if he had continued he would probably be mute by now-
@@Tirreger like so many others. Anselmo, anyone? Now bands make money touring, technique and compromise is a must..
The Live at Download 2009 was the EPIC version to react to🤘🤘Much more up close and personal especially during Zero Bullshit and crowd interaction 🤘🤘 RIP brothers Joey and Paul 🤘
Awesome video! Watched all the way til the end cause I needed a 'rawr' in my life today. Love how you debunk the 'judge a book by it's cover' mindset. It'd be easy to look at you and say "she'd never like or understand Slipknot" but you know your stuff and take everything from the energy, lyrics, stage presence, and differing sounds and techniques to go beyond a 'it's just noise' judgement and find the greatness in all forms of music. Also was extremely happy to see you in a video by another creator I just got into Alex Hefner and all the positive things he had to say about you and your channel. Great minds do think alike. Keep On Rawring Cause You Kill It!
Rawr!
Two random things of this:
1- Clown and Craig fighting for no reason
1- the "EEEEEEYEEEESSS" sample from Duality playing for no Reason
As a veteran of many prime-era Slipknot shows, you describe the atmosphere perfectly. The crowd is _intimately_ involved in the show.
I was in this crowd it was 2005 big day out festival in Australia.. stupidly hot day and psycho mosh pit🔥🔥
OMG finally more slipknot videos !! I just live see your reaction of slipknot is so adorable 😆
2009 Download festival in England was a better audience.
Better quality video.
Listening to Corey sing, scream and spit bars! Wow
Definitely one of the best live performances from any band in the last 20 years. I never get tired of watching it.
IKR who sent Beth the wrong video 😥
Ayyyy! Was at this show!!
Saw them at a couple of Big Day Outs and a Soundwave at Sydney. They were always a big draw for me, such great performers.
At their last Soundwave, the crowd broke the barrier.
you who were there, was the "eeeyeeeess" loop heard during Spit It Out or was that a mistake during the tv broadcast??
Ahhh yes soundwave, those were the days
I was in one of those in Crowd
The Energy is unbelievable - saw them multiple times more
You should react to Corey Taylor singing this acoustic solo. Hilarious and a great display of his clean vocals, mixed with some distortion.
Saw these guys in Liverpool a few years back, I've never been the same since!!
Your roar to start out the video made me happier than it should lol
Had the pleasure to see them in concert in 2000 at the Tattoo the earth tour. Was hook right then and there. Great band.
Awesome, nothing like being there, we go every time they come through Dallas, TX
Damn I miss the Big Day Out. Was in the middle of that mish pit. Such a good show. Seen Slipknot plenty of times but this was my favourite
BDO Sydney Australia….not really a Slipknot audience, except on that day the festival crowd all become lovers of the band….
ps. still gives me goosebumps watching it
Beth has a rowdy scream. It’s awesome.
I for one am glad you chose this version
Congratulations on being the reactor to react to spit it out live. Oh I nailed it about the advert for skill share
Not download festival 2009?
I was at their concert around this mask time 2005 Nokia theater now called Verizon theater literally the greatest concert to this day for me maybe it was because their prime maa6be they cranked up the drums after the solo was so loud booming. It was wild when this song his felt like a shock wave.
A Lamb of God reaction would be fun. Anything from Killadelphia would be great.
1:09 - The channel isn't called "Beth Roars" for nothing~🤘
Even though I've never been the type to get in the pit, this is what a metal concert is supposed to be!
Corey is all false cord, but during the Vol 3 era of Slipknot and Stone Sour's Come Whatever May, he started doing it in a very high pitched, almost shouting style. He admitted that he wasn't able to do this after a while, because it was so hard, and also fucked up his voice. I think that was the time when he contacted Melissa Cross. On the fourth album he returned his old style.
It wasn’t that he started high screaming, it’s a product of vocal damage. Look at Chad Gray from Mudvayne. He sounded great and brutal for a while, but then after a few years it became high pitched and painful sounding. Nowadays he can’t even scream anymore, it sounds awful. Thankfully Corey fixed his act when they did a little hiatus until AHIG, which is when he picked up his technique.
And Chad Gray never had a good technique... Even any kind of technique I guess. Listen to Mudvayne's "Dig"... Especially live, but also on the album version. You don't have to be a vocal expert to hear that he's actually dying :D Sad, but he's a perfect example of bad screaming technique, and it's consequences. I think it's suppose to be a false cord, but with a lot of tension.. he's not relaxed at all, and sounds like he's squeezing every muscle in his throat.
@@sludgyp3196 yeah Chad Gray isn't the greatest. Sounded absolutely brutal, but maybe was being a little brutal on his throat too. Glad Corey turned out to be what he is now instead of Chad Gray.
This is the interview I'm referring to: th-cam.com/video/abklZ0WxTwc/w-d-xo.html
In this video he's sayin' that he wanted to try something new on Vol3 and Come Whatever, but it was painful. Also that he should've do Vol3 in the low, Iowa style. So it wasn't because of vocal damage. Vocal damage occured because of this painful way of screaming. Also he was constanty doing it during the Vol3 tour.. You can imagine..That's why he contacted Melissa. On the album All Hope is Gone when he returned to his old, low style, it just wasn't as brutal as on Iowa. But I think it could be because of vocal training, developing a safe way, and suggesting not to push that hard. In the and it's all about longevity.
there was once a yearly metal festival in my home city that was being held at a pier near an old bridge, after a few years they had to close the bridge for foot and bicycle traffic while the festival was going on but after slipknot, rammstein and in flames had guested the festival, all the jumping people did in songs like spit it out and cloud connected caused some issues with the bridge (and also the pier sank down into the river a few mm after each year the festival was held due to the crowd jumping), city council didnt allow the festival to be held at the pier after 2011 and by 2014 the company arranging the festival stopped arranging it because the new area they was allowed to use was so remote it was hard for guests to come and go even when the city put in free public transport from the central station to the festival.
having seen slipknot perform at that festival twice, once at the pier near the central part of the city and also at the more remote place later was an experience... at the pier you could feel the entire pier sway as the crowd was jumping in sync
I saw them live last month and the amount of the people on the floor that didn't know to get down so we could all jump up synchronized was so disappointing haha They were amazing live and people effing up that part sucked. Anyways, great band and great reaction 👍👍
Edit: also, I was 22 weeks pregnant at the time and a little nervous to be on the floor/so close to the stage but everyone was so respectful (not just to me but in general). Metal fans, generally, are the fucking best 🖤🤘
Were an awesome disfunctional family
I just saw them one of the best bands live
You should react to Slipknot - Liberate live at London 2002. It's fantastic, Corey's vocal, the audience, they all are really cool
Epic song I'd say.... Finally glad to see you enjoying this song too.....
Please do "prejudice" by Tim Minchin... he is an interesting singer, an extremely talented pianist and overall a pleasure to see perform. Plus I think you'll like this particular song
Dingo Killing Voice..
S.Korea famous God Tier Top 3 male vocalist is on air.....Ha Hyun Woo... You gonna have a huge jaw drop for his vocal... 😂 looking forward to all Vocal Coach drop their JAW.
This Time another Live Clip from this Song. Can't see the "Download" Clip anymore ;) .Beth, you cant imagine how it feels right in the middle of the Moshpits there....i survived them 4 times ;)
Hey Beth, I'd love to see your reaction to The Irrepressibles ("Nuclear Skies"). I just discovered them, and I'm blown away by their first album. It's "chamber pop" with a singer that sounds like a blend of Einar Solberg (Leprous) and Anohni (formerly of Antony and the Johnsons). Really powerful voice. I think you'd love it.
The best Slipknot, Nice work Beth! ❤👏🏻
Thank you! 😊
You can say this is very primal!
Beth, watch the same song but live at download. Even more crazy energy.
2005 Coreys voice is soooooooo unique
My favorite band 😍🤘
Craig beating up Clown is always the best part of this clip.
Much love from México
i love how she doesn't realise Craig and clown are fighting
Thanks a lot for this gold!
Saw Slipknot, clicked.
Since you are learning french, you should do a reaction to the song ″Marcia Baila″ by the french duo ″Les Rita Mitsouko″. Merci!
awesome reaction
U should take a look at them on Rock In Rio. Brazilians are THE audience on live performances.
it was supposed to be live at the festival download
I love it!
I would give ANYTHING for a video of Beth losing her mind at a Slipknot concert. 😂🤣
The man is such a chameleon of a singer. I recommend "Corey Taylor - Home / Zzyzx Rd. [LIVE AT THE FORUM]" to hear his singing do a total 180
"A health and safety nightmare" 🤣🥰
one of my favorite masks Cory is wherein in this video
Great reaction from someone I thought would hate them. Sorry for judging a book by its colour. Keep it up
Saw them in 2005, had lamb of god opening… I had a 12’ subwoofer in my race van… slipknot make you pee a little…
Love your videos! You should check out Don't Lose Sight (Acoustic) by Lawrence if you haven't seen it, you could probably make an entire video on the first minute and it just goes up from there, absolutely incredible singing (in different ways) and musicianship.
Saw them live years ago. I got into their moshpit and came out of it with a broken toe and a missing earring.
Finally ❤️
Are you ready to hear ?
I hope you enjoy 🔥🤘🏼
slipknot best band
This is a great version of this song but you should react to this song but Slipknot at Download festival 2009
La neta suena bien chida esa versión en el big day
I never figured you as a Slipknot fan.
Unfortunately when Corey’s voice was getting fried from improper technique but glad he bounced back and is healthy again
Which concert is this?what year?
Oh yay Sydney ha I knew people there. How great is Corey Taylor & you know that if anyone was having a hard time getting back up 5 people would be helping them
You should check out electric callboy
Hola, es la primera vez que te veo y me encantan tus comentarios. Te quiero hacer una recomendación. Se llama tres puñales, creo que te gustara. El autor es Miguel poveda.
Rawr!
Can you react to "Satellites" by periphery?
Spencer's voice is a blast!!
Check out "Wait and Bleed" from them, Corey can absolutely sing👍👍
🤘🔥🤘
Corey Taylor also uses his voice for some other very good music that you can actually understand.
Finally

Gotta do a video on Lorna Shore
React to coreys voice from Iowa era
Honestly, I wanted to see more metal here, but Death, Thrash or Black. Anyway, cool video as always0
