Self hosting is extremely tasking. I wouldn't do it again unless on a low budget or in my home lab. Here is how to set up the Managed Kubernetes service on both Digitalocean and Vultr: Digitalocean th-cam.com/video/Zsk67aQGqbg/w-d-xo.html Vultr th-cam.com/video/Yvjw64mRFMk/w-d-xo.html
Please consider making a GCP for beginners playlist. There isn't hardly anything to decent learn GCP on youtube, I think there would be a large interest in firebase, cloud run, serverless, ec instances, sql, and static websites with buckets. I like GCP because it seems more refined and less complicated compared to AWS. I'm having to learn GCP with linked learning because there are no good tutorials on youtube. I just subscribed to your channel and I look forward to watching your videos, thanks for helping.
Hello. You have a great channel. Tell me please, can you make the course practical on devops from scratch to pro step by step? After which I am can get a job in the company
Thank you! This is one of my favorite roadmap resources. roadmap.sh/devops For each box, find the resources and instructors you learn from the best and just stick with it!
yourselves & similar channels like, the devopsguy, devopstoolkit throw some light on the work needed, the tools. How to go around, thanks a lot, Good topic you showed the difficulties of selfhosting.
K3s is simpler since it is so lightweight and contains everything you need in a single binary! If you want to run in production you will have to move away from some defaults that will make things a bit more complex. For example you wouldn't want to use the embedded SQLite database as the datastore if you want/need it to be highly available. That being said, it can be done. In fact civo cloud (www.civo.com/) has built a whole IaaS offering around K3s!
1:49 you got me with that discord notification lol. Great vid
I was playing around with trying to pull audio from discord into livestreams and forgot I had my audio configured to do so 😅
Same here! I had to pause and check 🤣
Excellent as usual - keep um coming!
Thanks Mark! Just moved and am getting my recording setup back online, but once I do I've got a bunch more in the works! 🎥
@@DevOpsDirective Looking forward to it!

@@DevOpsDirective The map is clear. And where to learn all these topics step by step specified in the roadmap?

So many great creators in the space!
How would you rate k3s for self-hosted? Seems a whole lot easier than full-blown k8s clusters...
