I’ve been waiting and waiting for an update from you. You are a rockstar! Love seeing all of your Wips. I think I’m more excited for your retirement than you are. You are going to blow us away with all of your finishes then.
Hi Brenda! It’s always so nice to spend time with you seeing what you’ve worked on. There are so many old favorites! Kingdom of Books, Four Seasons, Serenity Harbor, etc. Enjoy the rest of February.
Thank you, sweet, kind, beautiful Brenda! Everything is so sew very beautiful. That bee skep house in the garden is adorable. Thanks for a good visit while I stitch. As always, your amazing work makes me feel wholly inadequate with my own stitching.
Thank You Kristina! I'm glad you enjoyed the visit :) And your stitching is beautiful and wonderful and brings you joy. Please don't feel inadequate :)
Hi Brenda, I’m a newer subscriber and have been watching some of your older videos. My favorite project so far is the 9 houses sampler you designed. So incredible! I grew up in Utah Valley so your videos remind me of home. 💗 Thank you for sharing your stitching!
Brenda-I love your flosstube videos. I am writing to let you know that 123stitch carries a lot of Dimensions kits and seems to be growing this line. I fell in love with “Peeking Pups”. As always, I’m looking forward to seeing progress, starts, purchases and all the things. Best always!
I’m such a terrible friend and so behind in watching flosstube! Your progress on all the SALs is amazing. I’m working hard to get Kingdom of Books caught up for April and will bring it to Stitch West! Thanks for sharing your stitching and motivating me!
Love your finish on Summer Sketches Lighthouse, it is beautiful!!! Your starts and WIPS are all beautiful projects!!!! Your Kingdom of Books is absolutely awesome!!! Love your videos and seeing the variety of projects you stitch. Happy Stitching, Lynn
Oh my love it all. The russian books, the colour is amazing! And that Halloween one of Teresa Kogut oh my that went on my wish list. And in case I didn’t respond on wall video, it’s amazing as well!
I love your videos! I’m in awe of your projects and the progress you make. It’s so inspiring! I think heaven has your stitching room as one of its rooms. 😂Your bags and stitchy collection is just so impressive! Look forward to your next video and thank you for sharing!
Hi dear Brenda, thank you so much for sharing all your wonderful projects and stitching with us. i really love your videos and how you share all this beauty with us. thank you so much. sending hugs from Switzerland 🇨🇭 ❤
So many pretty projects! Your progress is very inspiring! Haberdashery is looking so good with the backstitch! And thank you for sharing alternative thread ideas 💛 Blessings!! (P.s. I was the one who asked about backstitch on 25ct)
So much fun! I often change the colour for back stitching to a slightly deeper colour than what it is stitching around. Count down to retirement is on!
I love your videos Brenda. I love to see your progress as you're such a prolific stitcher, you're also such an enabler for me too as I love your style and taste in projects. Thank you for your work on your videos. Best wishes, jen x
Such beautiful projects! Wow! I stitched the portrait of Christ several years ago, I really enjoyed it. I’d love to see a parade of your patterns of Christ. So much inspiration here, thanks for sharing!
I love your videos. You are so much fun. Love all your projects and progress. Thanks so much for making my Saturday stitching so relaxing and fun. Love the pumpkin project your friend gifted you. You will love retirement. So much more time for projects!!
Beautiful projects, Brenda! I have always loved the HAED Four Seasons. Congratulations on your June retirement! I do not think that I have picked up on that before. As one middle school survivor to another - you go girl!
I'm amazed, as always, by all the projects you manage to work on! I especially like seeing your Kingdom of Books and your Marquoir Mystery. Happy stitching :)
As I was stitching on the E in Winter…there you were!! What a joy to see you and hear what you’re working on. I get so inspired and am so motivated to get my board out and actually plan like you do. This is amazing as I am in the middle of my first bout of Covid and not functioning at normal levels 🤪😏. You always are a comfort, joy, inspiration, fun, caring, and sister stitcher for me!! Can’t wait to see the progress on your projects this year!! Thanks for the sunshine today!!🥰
You have been stitching so much in the new year already! Such beautiful pieces and great progress. I like your plans for February; certain projects on scheduled days sound nicely organized. ❤
I can't tell you how much I love your videos. I do mostly full coverage charts. I admire you for getting so much done. I have some vision problems and my progress is very slow. I love the alphabet project you are doing. Beautiful pattern and beautiful stitching on your part. Thank You making your videos. Many blessings to you. 😊
Brenda!!!! Oh, my, so much lovely stitching!! I enjoyed seeing all of your pretty projects!! To keep the dark thread from showing through on the front of your finish (of the seaside scene) you can slip a little piece of white non-woven interfacing between the floss and the linen. Make sure the edges of the interfacing are uneven or even a little frayed to keep the edges of that from showing through. You can then mount the stitching on a white board and keep the picture nice and bright. 😊. Didn’t mean to write a book here…. Take care, my friend! Thanks for sharing!!
So much beauty! Can you imagine what you’ll accomplish once you’re retired?! My Kingdom of Books should (knock on wood) be done by its 5th birthday on March 1st. I only have the outlining, the titles and the bottom background to do. I’m trying to do 50 stitches in each row across each day. Hopefully I don’t have too many distractions. It’s school break so I’m off babysitting duty. I will stop scrolling for sellers of some of the kits you showed! Pam
Hi Pam!!!!!! Ohhhhhh, March 1st, I can't wait to see it!!!!!!!!! 50 stitches a day is a very smart way to do it! So glad you are on a break from babysitting, stop scrolling and get stitching, lol!!!
@@Handworkmaniac Thank you….I might go crazy with how boring the bottom border is, though! There’s about 15 rows of lower border so I figured it would take me 9 days to complete at the rate of 50 stitches per row each day. That ends up being every minute of stitching time I can manage in a day. I’m giving it my all.
Thank You!! Yes, I have a countdown calendar on my desk at work :) I keep kidding that I am going to make a paper chain, lol! Yay, two years!!! I am excited for you!!
Regarding Teresa Kogut's Halloween piece, I did the whole thing in tent stitch, two strands over one, on 28 ct. linen. It went soooo much faster! I started on Christmas Day and finished in March. So I highly endorse your tent stitch idea for the center band! :)
Really enjoy stitching with you! Love how you count "snow" days! So interesting to see the variety of things you stitch. Are you counting the days to retirement? I will be curious to see the changes in your stitching time!
Thank you Desiree!!! I have a "page a day" desk calendar that tells me every day how many days are left, lol. Today it says 115 :) I can't wait either!!!!!!
Such beautiful and varied stitching, Brenda! You accomplish so much from one video to the next. It's hard to pick a favorite piece, but that little bunny in the seasonal piece is the best!
I always love watching your videos Brenda! So many lovely stitched pieces! And you encourage to keep stitching and get my older WIPS done. I finished a couple and only have about 7 left now. Have a great stitchy week ahead! Cheers! 🧑🏻🦰🇨🇦
Thank You Marilyn!!! I'm so glad you are encouraged to work on your older WIPs!!! It always feels to good to them done :) Cheering you on to keep going on the 7 that are left!!
So exciting that retirement is on the horizon - more time for stitching! How are you liking the grided fabric to stitch on? I haven't tried it yet. I enjoyed seeing every single one of your projects!
Thank You Kathy! I can't wait :) I do like the gridded fabric, but it is a little hard to wrap my brain around the fact that the grid line is on a thread, instead of between the threads. But once I have been working on it for a while my brain adjusts.
Just love your updates Brenda - you have such fabulous projects and a great schedule and I can’t wait for you to retire because you are going to be turbo- stitching then! Your WIPs won’t know what’s hit them. 😀
You have so many lovely stitchy projects, everyone you show is a delight to see. I love the back stitching on haberdashery. I like to stitch a lot of eastern European designer pieces and they use a lot of backstitch. It is so much fun to see the piece come to life after you backstitch. I have tried to do the 30 minute or hour a day on projects, but I never keep up with it. When I need to move a project along each month, I play catch up. Lol. Some projects keep getting pushed back all the time until I have to get them done . Laura has been the reason for several of my project/ purchases. She is so sweet, she even helped me source a hard to find older RTO pattern that I started for my New Year piece. What a wonderful person.❤ Your video was such fun to watch. Have you started a count down to your last work day yet?
Thank You Lynn!!! I know what you mean, I am always playing catch up on my daily pieces as well!!! LOL. And I agree, Laura is the sweetest/nicest person I know. Her videos always cheer me up :) [TH-cam: istitchbirds?] And Yes!! I have a countdown calendar on my desk at work where I tear off a page a day. My coworkers keep kidding that they are going to make me a paper chain, lol!
Love all of your stitching. Great tip with using the sewing thread for back stitching on smaller counts. I went right to Etsy and bought the project cards. I have the ones from 24HOCS but they aren’t quite right for my needs. Let’s see if these ones work.
Beautiful projects, beautiful stitching! I like the idea of breaking up the patterns to do some each month. I think I'll try that for a few of my lingering projects, and maybe I can make some progress on them. Thanks, Brenda!
I'm so bummed that I won't be going to Stitch West this year - barring a miracle. I'm way far down on the 'wait list' because there was a funeral the day of sign ups that my women's group was serving the reception for. By the time I was done with that and the clean up, the retreat was sold out. Maybe next year. I'm going to see if I might make it to one of the Silver Needle or Quilter's Station retreats instead - they are both 'drive not fly' distances for me after all. I'm going to keep up on the #BirdhousesSAL though, just on it's own merits - it's a lovely pattern.
Hi Karla!!! Sounds like you were doing a good thing though serving at a funeral, which is way more important :) And I would not be surprised if they get quite a ways through their waitlist by the time we get to the retreat. I have heard that the Silver Needle and Quilter's Station retreats are amazing!!! And so glad you are stitching the birdhouses with us!!
I was glad to see you had a video this morning. Today is post work recovery and coffee is my best friend while watching your lovely progress on your projects.
Like everyone else, I love your stitching. You are a great artist and inspiration. I use so many of your ideas and organizational skills. I am excited to use the overdyed floss to make things go faster, not to mention how beautiful it looks. I have a question about how to use them, that is do you complete every cross or do you stitch a row with one leg of the cross and comeback to complete the whole cross? Again thank you so much for sharing and inspiration.
Thank You!!! So glad my ideas have been helpful :) When I use overdyed floss I always cross each stitch as I go, because I like to see all that beautiful variation of color. But you can also go across a row and then come back, and it makes kind of a tweedy look, depending on how highly variegated the floss is.
Great to see you and your projects Brenda. You do such a wide varity if projects. Might i ask what you do with all theAida from the kits. Take care and stay safe until we next 'meet'🤗🇬🇧
I always love seeing all of the things you are working on - there are usually 3 or 4 that i have to go bookmark! Just wondering, it looks like the left hand side of most of your WIPs that are in Qsnaps have the left side removed. Is that for the floor/lap stand or just to release the tension on it? Thank you for all the videos! i am now a proud owner of both an Elan lap and floor stand! Love them1
Thank You Stacey! The only reason the left hand clip is removed is so that I can show you the whole piece on the video, so you can see the already stitched part that is under the clip. When I stitch on them I always have all four clips on. In video #19 I show how I hold the q-snaps in my Elan stand. So glad you are loving your stands from Artisan Designs!
Thank You!! I got that needleminder from a project bag maker on Etsy who made me a BYU project bag. She took a piece of the fabric and made a covered button with it and put a magnet on the back. She made it for me as a special order, but you could always contact her and ask :) Her store is "BrassButtonShop" on Etsy.
Hi I enjoyed your video. I am getting ready to start the Kingdom of Books and thought I had gotten the translated titles from you but I cannot seem to find them. Can I get the list again or where do I look to find them. Thanks!
Hi Patricia! It was a large pendant or charm pack that I bought at the Pine Needles quilt/needlework store in Salt Lake City. It is called "Cathe Holden Vintage Charm Zipper Pulls Furniture". And I glued a magnet to the back of it :) It looks like it is available online at a few quilt stores and on etsy and ebay. Here is a listing on etsy :) www.etsy.com/listing/1479300853/moda-fabrics-furniture-chair-and-cabinet?gpla=1&gao=1&&Cj0KCQiAoeGuBhCBARIsAGfKY7w6kRbXhrpJF9o-ZwcoCBK4n3X3yT4Yezwdpdo9UJ5ocA-C4GbB_lgaAgtvEALw_wcB_k_&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAoeGuBhCBARIsAGfKY7w6kRbXhrpJF9o-ZwcoCBK4n3X3yT4Yezwdpdo9UJ5ocA-C4GbB_lgaAgtvEALw_wcB
Hello Rosalie!! I do need 3.5 magnification reading glasses, and a really good light :) And I also wear contacts. Patreon is a designer membership platform where you can sign up to join a designer's membership group. You can find more information at patreon.com. And WipGo is a fun stitching activity that is run by Jessie who has a TH-cam channel called "Jessie Marie Does Stuff". She has several videos on her channel that explain how it works.
Hi Susan! I stitch on all kinds of fabric, including Aida, and all kinds of counts for 7ct klostern to 56ct linen. I do wear 3.5 reading glasses for magnification (I wear monovision contacts and don't need reading glasses to read), but I have not noticed that it is hard on my eyes :)
Hi Brenda. I also have the book chart that looks like houses on the Canal in the Netherlands. Was wondering if you would be able to share the english titles of the books with me and I can chat the spacing myself. Thanks for any help.
Hi Sundee!! I love blue samplers as well :) I believe the video just before this one (#124) shows everything on the wall and the name of each :) And I did notice that Awesome Pattern Studio has patterns for cities all over the world. You can find their shop on Etsy.
Your finished pieces on the wall are astounding. What is the Mirabilia with the blue cloak? I am not able to find it to stitch. Would you be willing to sell your pattern? Thank you.
Thank You Marcy! That piece is "Angel of Love" by Lavender and Lace. And I believe you can still find it to purchase. I have given my copy away already :)
Hi Brenda. Love watching your flosstube. I am wondering about the retreat you attend called crazy woman retreat. Is that associated with a needlework shop? Or is it a group of you ladies who just get together?
Thank You Katherine! That retreat is put on my Misty Connelly. She is mconnelly69 on Instagram. I am guessing that pretty soon now she will announce sign ups for the 2024 Crazy Woman Retreat on her IG account. I think that is the only place she posts it :)
Hi there I have a question I know you finished lost no more I have been trying to get the hard copy to no avail. I can only find pdf but it’s states I need adobe reader to download. I have been searching for days with no luck. Maybe you can help me I really appreciate your time. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful work.
Hi Gladys!! I did see a "Lost No More" kit on Ebay last week. It seems to come up every other month or so. I'm sorry it is so hard to find, I would suggest you just keep watching re-sell sites like Ebay and Stash Unload Facebook sites. I believe all of the .pdf versions are illegal copies of the original kit.
I’ve been waiting and waiting for an update from you. You are a rockstar! Love seeing all of your Wips. I think I’m more excited for your retirement than you are. You are going to blow us away with all of your finishes then.

So much fun! I often change the colour for back stitching to a slightly deeper colour than what it is stitching around. Count down to retirement is on!
I should have started doing it years ago!!! 115 days!!! LOL
Your projects are inspirational, to say the least. You must be a Very fast stitcher to get so much done!
Thank You Sharon! I think I am just persistent, and my husband would say that I spend all of my free time stitching :)

Love all of your stitching. Great tip with using the sewing thread for back stitching on smaller counts. I went right to Etsy and bought the project cards. I have the ones from 24HOCS but they aren’t quite right for my needs. Let’s see if these ones work.
Hi Vicky!!! I hope you love those cards as much as I do :)
@@Handworkmaniac soooo I printed one of each and then later that night Sammy introduced me to notions and showed me how to use it now I’m digital 😂😂😂
Beautiful projects, beautiful stitching! I like the idea of breaking up the patterns to do some each month. I think I'll try that for a few of my lingering projects, and maybe I can make some progress on them. Thanks, Brenda!
Thank You Kathy! I'm glad you liked the idea :)
Thanks 😊
You are welcome!
Thank you , your stitch so many lovly and stunning stitching! 🤗😍🇳🇴Gurli in Norway
Thank You Gurli!!!
I was glad to see you had a video this morning. Today is post work recovery and coffee is my best friend while watching your lovely progress on your projects.
Thank You!!! And have a great recovery :)
Excellent
Thank You Kerrie!
I love your work! Do you have a stitch with me video just to see how you cross stitch?
Thank You! And yes, it is video #100 :)
Brenda I love all your work n choices of designs. Your choice of 46ct linen gets all my envy. Love all of you. I am your top fan. ❤💕💕💕
Thank You Alice!!!
❤❤❤❤
Thank You Rae!!
Beautiful finishes and works in progress. The Dinky Dyes were not listed for the water…could you please let me know what they are.
Thank You Kelley! Oh dear, I will go add that to the description box right now, so sorry! It is Dinky Dyes "Gum Leaves" and Dinky Dyes "Ocean Pines"
Ok, just started watching...is that a card catalog needleminder?!?!
LOL, only you would notice that :)
❤️
Thank You!!
Love the " 4 Seasons " piece. Would like to stitch it myself & wonder if it is still available. I think I first saw the pattern years ago.
The Lanarte 4 seasons? I love that project :) I think it was only sold as a Lanarte kit. It is out of print, but I do see it every few weeks on Ebay
@@Handworkmaniac Thanks
Great to see you and your projects Brenda. You do such a wide varity if projects. Might i ask what you do with all theAida from the kits. Take care and stay safe until we next 'meet'🤗🇬🇧
Hello!! I keep all the unused aida in my fabric storage. I use it occasionally, and my daughters and daughter-in-law use it :)
I looooove those Russian books!❤️🇨🇦
Thank You!!
Can you please tell me where to buy a BYU needleminder? You're just such a prolific stitcher. You must stitch very fast. Thank you for sharing.😊

Thank You Amy!!!
Hi I enjoyed your video. I am getting ready to start the Kingdom of Books and thought I had gotten the translated titles from you but I cannot seem to find them. Can I get the list again or where do I look to find them. Thanks!
Hi Sarah! Absolutely! Just email me at AdnerbYakJ@gmail.com and I will send them to you :)
Where did you get the card catalog needle minder on in the library?
It’s amazing you can see to stitch on 46 count ,I’m in Australia @ can’t understand what you mean by Patrion @ whipgo ?
Hello Rosalie!! I do need 3.5 magnification reading glasses, and a really good light :) And I also wear contacts. Patreon is a designer membership platform where you can sign up to join a designer's membership group. You can find more information at patreon.com. And WipGo is a fun stitching activity that is run by Jessie who has a TH-cam channel called "Jessie Marie Does Stuff". She has several videos on her channel that explain how it works.

Hi Mel!!!!! Thank You!!! :)
Do you aways stitch on linen. Isn't it hard on your eyes?
On Kingdom of Books would you consider sharing the translation of book titles? I don’t know anyone that speaks/knows Russian😊
Absolutely! Just email me at AdnerbYakJ@gmail.com and I will send it to you :)
@@Handworkmaniac THANK YOU!! Will email you. 😊
Hi Brenda. I also have the book chart that looks like houses on the Canal in the Netherlands. Was wondering if you would be able to share the english titles of the books with me and I can chat the spacing myself. Thanks for any help.
Hi Linda! I would be happy to! Just email me at AdnerbYakJ@gmail.com and I will send it to you :)
What are the blue samplers on your walls? I’ve been looking for a few and love the ones you have. Also, is the Salt lake one part of a series?
Im sorry, Im behind on watching your videos but am trying to catch up! Could you tell me who makes the Pumpkin House chart your friend got you?
Hello! Isn't that chart beautiful! It is by Inna Bidenko (Инна Байденко).
Yes, it is! Thank you so much@@Handworkmaniac
Thank you I’ll keep looking. Many blessings
"Pumpkin House" by Inna Bidenko (Инна Байденко)
Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!
You are such a prolific stitcher now, that when you retire you will be really scary!
Thank You Louann! We shall have to wait and find out, lol!!
Put it on black mayors and it won’t show
Thank You Linda! A great tip!!!
