When the thin man finally captures Six, he bans her to a nightmare as punishment... A nightmare in which she is trapped, terrified, and clinging to her music box... Exactly how he found her in the beginning of the game. Point being, the thin man knew exactly in what situation Six would feel the most scared and vulnerable, and he used this against her in order to exact his revenge.
That's...actually a cool thing. Almost every other youtuber has reacted to the ending by saying "That's why the Tall Guy was kidnapping Six!" where Dashie is the first one I heard say "That's why Six dropped us". It's a very different perspective, and that's always nice to see.

Ion know I kinda understand six the reason she dropped him was because THE TOWER was using the music box to in prison and to MONO he thought he was SAVING her BUT to six he was doing THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE because the music box was the only thing that made her feel safe and was turned into a monster because the TOWER takes all of the good qualities out of a person and it turns them into what they really are on the inside

If you got the secret ending for getting all the glitches you'll learn that the real Six is trapped out of her body as a glitch and the Six we see betray Mono is something else that possessed her body. Some kinda dark entity with a ravenous hunger which leads into LM1 where Six is always hungry and eating things/people.

Before she let you go she took all your power. There is another ending where six starts glitching because she has too much power. In the game you see yourself glitching. Why are you glitching ? He must've tried to get his revenge on Six by taking her and was killing younger him so that he couldn't save her. Saving himself from her betrayal. Damn.

spoiler for the ending although I’m late in the end mono becomes the tall man and tries to stop his past self from trying to escape with six because they know they always be betrayed and will have to repeat again. If you remember back when you first tried to stop the tall guy he’s putting his hand out when you attack him because he’s trying to warn you and help you but you don’t know this yet as this mono, the one we play as doesn’t know of the cycle. As for the reason six betrayed mono there could be a long list of reasons across many different theories but my belief is all the holograms of people you’d find around the game and you’d try to hug were past versions of six that were also in a cycle. I believe the six cycle also had a reason to betray mono but it’s never fully explained as we don’t see that cycle happen. To summarize: mono is the tall guy chasing you mono when playing and is trying to stop you from getting betrayed and becoming the tall guy again

spoiler for the ending although I’m late
in the end mono becomes the tall man and tries to stop his past self from trying to escape with six because they know they always be betrayed and will have to repeat again. If you remember back when you first tried to stop the tall guy he’s putting his hand out when you attack him because he’s trying to warn you and help you but you don’t know this yet as this mono, the one we play as doesn’t know of the cycle. As for the reason six betrayed mono there could be a long list of reasons across many different theories but my belief is all the holograms of people you’d find around the game and you’d try to hug were past versions of six that were also in a cycle. I believe the six cycle also had a reason to betray mono but it’s never fully explained as we don’t see that cycle happen.
To summarize: mono is the tall guy chasing you mono when playing and is trying to stop you from getting betrayed and becoming the tall guy again

Theory: when Mono goes into the TV, this is him trying to accessing his memories where he’ll see the tall man. Six pulls his out to stop him finding his memories and realising that he was betrayed and became the tall man. As then he wouldn’t help six escape the nightmare.

I want to add on to your theory, I think the reason why Mono wanted to go to the TVs is because he couldn’t control it. Just like the last chapter, everyone is addicted tv’s, it’s sort of either an addiction or hypnotization, and Mono is a victim of it.
