Probably won't lead anywhere, but there would be at least 1 or 2 new interiors ;) (not counting the LBSC interior) The roof will probably house a duff cap instead though, or play some part in a mission so it's not entirely pointless 🤔
This is so damn cool! I remember the past "changes" on the last Homer's Collection version. I mean, the completed white building where the dirt jump was, it was more realistic, I guess... but the monorail track makes up for it. Speaking of the monorail, the train and that it actually has an animation AND can push the player is so cool, even though the monorail station itself is quite empty. Doesn't matter much, but a small stand could work I suppose and also can you ride the train? Just wondering. I'm guessing some of the secrets like the stairs next to the police station would be used for cards/bottlecaps, right? The highway... I really liked how you did the jump shortcut and changed it into a proper road that traffic can spawn and that the normal road goes under it. The highway itself is really like... large-city like, with various entries and large road schemes. It's quite confusing too in a way, but cool either way. About the whole map's "construction" changes... it feels so smooth now, no potholes, more road behavior, more life in the map, more annoying, because... traffic, but it's better than potholes and those large green pipes. Yes, I see that there won't be as much shortcuts, but I mean, it's Level 5, it should be harder if anything. Finally, the skyscrapers... I don't know if I'm blind or anything, but were they added too? Because I swear to god I did not see them before... like really... but if you did, now the map feels like a proper city... (if it wasn't of the previous changes mentioned here). So yeah, progress goes quite crazy... I wish you the best, Gordon and hopefully I could get the early access when you wish to update it! :D
@@jitzXD Thank you! ^^ The monorail is sadly non rideable, since it's based on those trains from the L2 bonus map, and it just moves back and forth, but nonetheless it's actually functional now :) The shortcut rhetoric would be to close down most of them on Level 4, open up more roads on Level 5, and close shortcuts yet again on Level 6. That being said, Level 5 does look more busy and noisy, and I'll try adding a bit more traffic in the missions as well :) The skyscrapers were already present, as I only focused on changing the scenery that could be interactable, and some places will indeed be used for bottlecaps. I initially wanted to add clichés only past Level 4, but got some ideas and textured out 7 extra beer types, so that levels 1, 3 and 5 can all have duff caps, while levels 2, 4 and 6 have clichés There'll certainly be a new beta build as soon as Level 4 is finished mission-wise, no worries ;)
Yep! The original Homer's Adventure had a Euro coin for some reason, so I remade it for the Collection as well :) You could say that Springfield went broke or something and had to use Euros for the time being after the Foolish Earthlings fiasco
Very cool changes! That door at 1:36 would be a nice lead-in to a new interior or a funny easter egg
