As an Acura and Honda enthusiast, I have NO interest in these all-electric vehicles. They ARE NOT a value to me. There's A LOT about the ZDX, which is a turn-off for me. American Honda loves STOP GAP niche vehicles.
You probably have the same issues with EVs. Right now most suck and must be viewed as disposable. When someone thinks $60.000 is throw away money. It's disrespectful to those of us who work their asses off. $500 for a cell phone you will recycle in 2-3 years is one thing. Paying for a car that in 10 years is not worth the tires you just put on is just wrong.
I’m waiting until I see your impressions of the ride quality before even considering the new ZDX. If I’m driving a new ZDX EV down the highway and it is as basic/noisy as a Model Y that now costs $10-15K less? Dealbreaker!
After seeing the Canadian pricing, this ZDX is going to flop even harder. Acura might as well just not sell it up here… 100k after taxes for the lowest tier trim… Just think about all of the other EV options you’d have.. Acura needs to save the time and money of bringing ZDX up here, and spend that money on getting more ITS up here..
I’m not saying it’s not ridiculous but CAD is 0.70 on the dollar right now plus Canadian taxes are much higher I’m not sure what else they’re supposed to do
It's crazy how much interior space there is in the Cadillac Lyriq, Chevy Blazer EV, and clearly the Honda and Acura versions benefit as well, like the Cadillac and Chevy, the ZDX will hold 5 adults with no problem and should sell ok, given, they are trying online only, you have dealerships, use them, for the size, range, and price, pick any of the 4
Gonna be really curious who buys this over the cheaper Honda Prologue or just in general. They waited too late to bring these to market, EV sales are cooling off. And they're way overpriced too. The low number of views for an "Acura" on a mostly Japanese-dedicated car channel tells you how uninterested people are in it.
Nope look at early 2000s and late 90s Acuras. I used to work for OnStar. They were in Audis, Isuzu and some VW too sometimes under different names. Lexus Connect was ran by GM OnStar as well
"Which one you will be picking..." None. Will they please stop trying to push the EVs? The majority don't want it. It's become obvious that whoever is designing at Acura is doing it with their eyes closed. The exterior of this vehicle is unbelievably ugly. Is Acura supposed to be a luxury brand? That exterior looks like a bunch of plasticky parts stuck onto various parts of the exterior. The interior has hope but still falls short of true luxury. Why are Acura's ALWAYS missing some luxury items that competitors gladly include? It's sad man. Acura has become an embarrassment and if they don't get it together fast they will be right next to Nissan/Infiniti in the Loser's Lounge. People aren't getting married or having kids because it's too expensive out here. No one needs these big showboats. No one wants to pay over $60K. It's time for SUVs to go away. This thing is a mess.
These will be worthless in a few years. Ev's are basically toys. RC car. The prices need to fall tremendously because all EV's are essentially garbage. Throw away vehicles. $20-$30 grand & that is pushing it for a toy that you throw away when done.
@@KirkKreifels maybe for someone that like that option. I like to buy, pay it in 5 years and keep it for no less than 10 years. Financial experts say that, if you wanna go broke, put your money in cars.
I own the 2022 MDX, i wish they’d put the regular combustion engines on these babies (or at least an option)! These will not sell well here in Canada for sure!
It was great meeting you Kirk. Keep up the great work!
Great look at a sweet ride.
Can't wait to hear what you have to say about what Honda just announced.
Honestly the Aspec might be the move just for the range.
thank you for going over the super cruise option. pretty sad its not included for a very expensive car
When's the first drive

I like ev their nice
Do you want Honda to survive? ICE vehicles are scheduled to be banned. Only EVs are going to be allowed to be sold.

@@Offensively-normalAgreed, they're Not 🚫 Worth the Money 💰 unless you live in a warm climate. Otherwise, they're just a Major Paperweight 😂🤣😎
Wait until Honda has their own EV solution that isn’t based on Ultium. Solid state batteries will change the calculus for Honda.

I Actually Love the D-Pillar....IT looks Cool 😎😊
Up here in Canada this is 18k more than an A spec MDX. No rebates. Unreal.
Kirk, do you know anything on the upcoming new Lexus ES?
Which one has a gas range extender

I was thinking the same. It’s going to sit on the dealer lots and I predict Acura will have to heavily discount them to shift them.

A GM chime in an Acura car?
As a current MDX and TLX owner, complete turnoff.
Just put a engine in it and it will sell
This!!!!!!!!
Nope, perfect as an EV.
@@yojoe4830 maybe u right the more I look into ev they do make some sense in a way
Very sharp looking but the minimalist interior is not exciting. It’s definitely competitive for an EV though.👍 I’d take this over a GV70EV.
I like them a lot.
No one is asking for more HP, but efficiently…
Who signed off on the tiny drive mode button right next to the parking brake?!? Also, buried down low, left on the dash...
Yes it's weird positioning
Man I REALLY wish the ZDX was more attainable lol, amazing looking car, even with a more basic looking interior.
nerd garbage

That’s just so weird to see OnStar in an Acura vehicle. 😮

No one talks about the increase weight of these vehicles in terms of a crash? 😮
How to spot a GM product: 6 lugnuts. Sigh.
Was that yellow vehicle a VW Thing? Whatever it is, all I can say is LOL!
It looks like a modern hearse from the side.
Do they have pricing agreements with GM when they have a collaboration like this❓In no world is this worth that kind of money for a one off 🦄.🤷🏻 10:18
Honda could’ve done much more with that Interior. Doesn’t match the price tag on this thing.
Frunk?
Nope
@@KirkKreifels at 0:15 is that new roofless suv picture on the wall gonna be sold?

no one likes EVs. they make gay sounds
I dont know like you since I've never had that type of experience. But ev is still way too early of a technology.
6 lugs? Wth
God dang, they look terrible.
Its not even a honda/acura, more gm junk
Looks like vinfast
Nothing special. It will depreciate like throwing a stone in the ocean.
