This book has been written with a deep impression that the place and power of prayer in the Christian life is too little understood. I feel sure that as long as we look on prayer solely as the means of maintaining our own Christian life, we shall not know fully what it is meant to be. But when we learn to regard it as the highest part of the work entrusted to us, the root and strength of all other work, we shall see that we need nothing more than to study and practice the art of praying.
If I have succeeded in pointing out the progressive teaching of our Lord in regard to prayer, and the distinct reference of His wonderful promises of His last night to the works we are to do in His name - to the greater works and the bearing of much fruit - we shall all admit that only when the church gives herself up to this holy work of intercession can she expect the power of Christ to manifest itself on her behalf. I pray that God will use this book to explain to some of His children the wonderful place of power and influence that He is waiting for them to occupy and that a weary world is waiting for too.

HE Also convicts me and makes me re-listen to areas where He works directly with me over. I’ve listened for years to audio books and sermons and scripture primarily, God does this wonderful work--it’s a blessing to hear your words brother !
That's what I do too it's such a blessing to drift off to sleep too and wake several times to important things God wants us to get into our hearts. Have you heard of Smith's Wigglesworth(Faith healer years ago) God has definitely woke me up and talked to me through that too.

By prayer, we do this. Perhaps it is also helpful to speak to a Christian brother or sister who knows the Word and can speak the truth, and then pray for you. Confess your anxieties, and profess your faith that God is able to carry them. Picture yourself handing the whole load of anxiety to your Father. He is strong and can carry it with ease.
The Lord has lately led me to the rich treasures of these audiobooks and I have been so blessed. Like so many others, I have started listening to them as I settle to sleep and find them such a blessing in guiding my thoughts in peaceful and uplifting paths. Also, I too have been wakened at a particular passage, which I needed to hear.

David, if you are living in a nation where there's a church that provides inner healing and deliverance ministry, please go seek for ministry. Pray for the Lord Jesus Christ to lead you to an anointed, compassionate minister moving in the power of the Holy Spirit who has helped others deliver them from the spirits of molestation, sexual perversion etc and bring healing and wholeness to you. Believe in Jesus who can set you free. He has done for others and can do the same for you.
