    This was inspired by the famous "ispahan" raspberry dessert. Why not make it cuter by including a whipped cream/meringue/marshmallow cat :3! I used one 50g pack of Mermaid Puffy air-dry paper clay for this tutorial. I recommend paper clay because it’s cheap, light and has a very nice texture for making macarons. Of course, you can do this project with any type of clay but please use the correct colouring & drying techniques for that material (e.g. don’t mix paint into polymer clay and don’t bake air-dry clay).
    The trickiest part was actually making the mint leaves, so I would suggest that beginners leave that out and simply use pre-made cabochons, sprinkles, canes or fruit slices. However if you do want to try making the leaves, I used green air-dry clay pressed very thinly onto jewellery eye pins and textured with a needle tool.

    @Mara Villamayor Noo, please don't bake paper clay because it will melt! You simply need to leave it alone for a day or so and it dries on its own. You can get it on Etsy, for instance from this shop here: tinyurl.com/qautjxw

    @ Nurasyikin Shana Hi! Yes it's definitely possible to make this with with polymer clay. The only thing is that polymer clay is more expensive so in order to make a piece this size would will probably need several packs various coloured clay. Note, polymer clay must NOT be mixed with paint because it's oil-based and most paints are water-based so they won't blend. The paint will also create toxic fumes during baking. To make different colours in polymer clay, you can only mix existing colours of polymer clay together.

      +Cookie Amy_0627 I found out on a comment that said instead of using an egg cup, you can round the clay, and then use the dental floss trick, cut it in half, and then smash it. Hope it helps!

I get my clay from this Etsy shop here www.etsy.com/listing/226989900/padico-mermaid-puffy-50g-white-modeling?ref=shop_home_feat_2 though you can also find it in many craft stores. Please do more clay tutorials!
    When I want to make a clay piece I always have to use polymer clay tutorials, which most of the time are super small and hard to achieve with hearty air dry clay.
    Thanks :)

    You should probably spray the finished product with a matt multi-media sealant to help protect the blush and keep it in place. :3 Test the spray you get on a test piece first to make sure it is compatible with all your medias and colors.
    Best crafting tutorial I've seen on youtube yet!!!! *claps*

    • @maqaroon
      @maqaroon  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      NasikaSakura Thank you so much!! Yes, that's a great idea though I would do it after the piece is completely dried to prevent any surface cracking as it shrinks. I realised that paper clay takes at least a month to dry through completely and reach its final size.
