I have seen my professor at university who can do this, but he spent about 20 minutes to bend a spoon at my house so I believe this might be true.
If that professor s telling you he is doing this for real and coming round your house I would not hang out with him he may just be kidding but it's odd behaviour. This is not true Lior is cheating. The only thing he is doing for the first bend is straightening out his hand.

C’mon, the fork was already bent, he just cupped it with his palm to create the illusion that it was straight and then slowly moved his fingers in the opposite direction to make it look like the fork was bending.
When you understand the slight of hand behind these bending tricks it makes for entertaining laughs at the hosts.
On youtube you can pause and . forward one frame at a time. Obvious manipulation of the elements involved, bending the single fork tine at 03:05 - 03:07 just frame through, you'll be able to detect a hint of exertion on the fork he just grabbed from another member of the stage whilst talking loudly about what everyone had just seen previous. Gorgeous, I love it, he is utilizing 3-4 techniques at all times in his performance. Simply Genius level here folks.

It's fascinating to see where the mind goes when we're faced with the unusual: magic, god, or some other familiar set of magical thinking provided by our culture. It's none of those. It's a mixture of sleight-of-hand, props, optics, and drama. The fact that so many people, even after being told it's just a trick, remain convinced it was magic, the work of god, or some other divine power, just shows how deeply engrained this type of thinking is in the human mind. As James Randi loved to say, "People don't want to believe, they need to believe."
Personally, I hold out hope for us. Whereas a couple hundred years ago, miracles were as widely believed in as spring, summer, and fall, belief has dropped slowly but significantly. While magical thinking might seem harmless in a studio on national TV while playing with spoons, it can be devestating for families faced with chronic or terminal illness.
There is magic, but not in bending spoons. Magic is in the beauty of a canopy of trees filtered with morning light, in the architecture of the Ely Cathedral, or in my daughter's eyes after she finally mastered a new song on the violin. It's a hard sell to forego angels and instant cures through divine intervention, but playing in delusions will only lead to heartbreak and disaster.
I love Lior for his Mentalist stuff. not so much the gimmick stuff

I admire a lot of Lior's mental 'tricks', one of the best mentalists around, but the forks trick is disappointing, using Uri's techniques like lowering the hand to make it look like the fork was bending when it was already pre-bent. Still would love to know how the mental trick work.

Now the part when he changes the fork and took her's at 2:37 , he shows the difference between the fork he bended with "HIS MIND" and the normal one, and than he gives the bended fork to Joe, and look at his face closely how he allways is watching at the tv behind the cameras that shows Them, he is checking that he wont do the trick at any position that can get caught.
At the 2:47 part when he gives Joe's the bended fork you can hear him saying check it, is an ordinary fork, and they all get focused and the fork Joe is holding, at that moment if you play the video in slowmotion you can see that he quickly bends the other fork too at 2:48 real quick and does these weird hand movements !!! why ? cuz he doesnt wants that bended fork that he has in his hand to bee seen in cameras, so he has to moves is hand like a weirdo and he immediately starts shaking the fork. Why didnt he showed one more time that the fork in his hand was normal as before, and than start shaking it and bend it, of course he can't do that that's why, and you can clearly see when he is shaking the fork that is already bended at 2:50 and at 2:49 when he raises his hands up, pause the video there and you can see the bended fork in his hand...
Let's get to the other one when he's claiming to bend the Fork Tine with his mind...
at 3:05 when he takes Joes fork from his hand and gives him the fork he bended, you can clearly see how he looks at the TV behind the camera and while he is giving Joe's the bended fork he quickly bends forks tine with his thumb you can see that at 3:06 to 3:07 if you play it in slowmotion, and again at 3:08 he immediately starts shaking the fork without showing that the fork tines are staright, of course cuz it would be caught and too obvious, but if you watch closely and in slowmotion when he starts shaking the fork you can already see the bended fork tine...
And the part when the breaks the fork in 2 parts, check out in the beginning when he starts sharing forks for them, he carefully gives them and making sure he is not giving the ONE fork that he has bended many times before the show stared, cuz a material like that fork when you bend it many times at that part it will break and you can see at 3:58 when he breaks, look how thin the fork is at that part, it's easly breakable , and than when he does this trick you can see that he picks up another fork at 3:20 that he left it aside, and the moment he took the fort he never grabbed the fork anywhere else except in the part that he will break it and he never let it go while he was talking, cuz it's already broke, it only needs 2 or 3 more bends, and at 3:41 he starts bending those 2 or 3 times that it needs to totally break, you can see at 3:43 when he bends it looks like its more hard to bend, and when he bends a bit more times you can see at 3:51 that the fork bends so easy, and its already broken, so he sees that thats the right moment, and the fork is broken all it needs is just a little shake and it will fall down... watch the video in slowmotion from 3:53 to 3:56 you can clearly see the fork is broken, and all it needed to fall down was a little shake...

If you look very closely, you can see that he bends the spoons before he does the tricks. At 2.17 the fork is already bent as he holds it in his slightly cupped left hand. What he's doing is slowly straightening his fingers, which makes it look like the fork is bending, but it's already bent before he begins.

At 4:06 when Lior takes the fork from the Lady in the Yellow/Orange shirt, he grabs the fork with two hands and bends it, watch it from 4:07 to 4:09 in slowmotion you can see him bending the fort so hard, and while the camra shows the Women in the Black clothes ( sorry i don't know them) from 4:09 all the focus is on her, and he used this advantage to bring the fork up straight with round bended at that position... you can see this part at 4:10 when he is looking at the TV behind the camera if the main Camera is showing him or not , you can see him bending the fork and turning his head so quick at her...
Now from 4:12 you can see him hiding that part with his fingers, and forced Joe to hold the fork is his FIST, and at 4:15 when Joe doesnt know exactly how to hold the fork he is allways hiding the part where hi did bend the fork, and forced him to hold the fork inside his fist so it cant be seen... and you can see that puts the fork in his fist he makes sure that Joe never opens his hand, look at him, he never does not let go of his hand, and at 4:22 he starts rotating the fork from the bottom, like he's "BENDING" it, and at 4:41 when he pulls the fork out it looked like he bended the fork inside his fist...
Now at 5:01 he took the fork from the lady in Purple to his right side, and at 5:04 you can see him again looking at the TV behind the camera and bending the other Fork Tine with his hands, and again immediately starts shaking it without asking them if the Fork Tines were all good or not, and you can see him at 5:00 whe she asked what happens to my little spoon, he is so focused on his trick to not get caught, just listen at his answer, he doesnt even have an idea what he is saying at 5:05 , IT'S ALL ABOUT EHHHH, CHECK IT, CHECK IT !!! And after he's done with the fork he took HER LITTLE SPOON at 5:21 , and now watch in slow motion from 5:23 to 5:24 ho bends so quickly the spoon and starts shaking it immediately AGAINm without showing that the spoon is Straight... and at 5:25 he already tells them that it IT IS ALL ABOUT FOCUSING...

When I was I high school (Baldwin Park, Calif 1970), there was a student who had unusual abilities. He said he was using energy. In front of the entire class, he was able to unhook a girl's bra while standing 5 feet away. He could think of a song (usuallg a Beatles song) and everyone could hear it. He went to a couple of other classes to show others. The government found out and treated him like crap. They would have cops come to school and put guns to his head, even in the classroom. They also had a pretty girl (also a student) pretend to be in love with him. She played him too. I'm not sure if they wanted him to commit suicide or what. After that, he mostly stayed to himself and didn't trust people.

2:48 is possible to see him bending the fork, and the velocity of the "look at this" moment is reduced so the eye is tricked into believing that the fork is bending in front of peoples eyes, When he's shaking them fazt it is impossible to notice that the fork is already bent. 3:06 he's using his right hand fingers to bend the "teeth"of the fork, and again, he is hiding that it is already bent by the speed of the showing moviment. The fork that he made smooth as plastic and broke, nobody checked that fork. It suddenly appeared. At 5:02 as he touches the fork that was on the blond presenter's hand, the handle is still on her hand, hes already bending the teeth with his thumb. and the shaking does the rest. 5:24 he bends the spoon while starting to say : it it it it is all about focusing. And the speed of the showing does the rest! He's fast, and he's good. He looks people in the eye, so they look in his eyes and forget about the hands. and the others are analyzing the other silverware that has already been used. And the shaking from the reveal makes the optical ilusion. When you do the same thing to a pensil it looks bended. If you practice and find the correct rithim, a bent fork looks straight. when you change the rithm, it "bends"magically in front of your eyes!

@@Anons687 The video doesn't show it, but he switches a straight fork for a bent one. Everyone thinks the fork is straight in his palm, but it is not. He slowly lifts his forearm up while bending his fingers/palm down to give the illusion of the fork bending upwards.
He uses an invisible wire and uses both hands to touch ur chin or nose , kinda screwed up this time and he flicked her nose and upper lip , she felt the wire going down , look closely at both his hands :) ( camera kinda cut off . U can see the wire trick on other YT vids aswell )
