Man, this drama was a breakthrough, loved all of it’s dark twists, felt like a real life depiction.
Everyone going through trouble, stay strong and survive.

@@chyunazs the actors are amazing but the story is kind of boring especially after 5 or 6 episodes. it's one of those dramas that you basically skip most scenes
@@chyunazs i recommend u to watch class of lies instead, its kinda similar extracurricular, the downside of the show is the plot twist is too much. Ittaewon class is so boring, I finished the show with 4x speed haha
Yeah episode 10 and above especially 16 is just so bad
this makes me more missing the show 😭, especially Park Joo Hyun as Bae Gyu Ri she's so beautiful! the ending is so cliff hanging hope for the season 2.

This show is incredible, it has everything you could possibly ask for. A tragic love story between two people who are seemingly alike regardless of their circumstances in life. But this show also resonates well with real life trauma and events that is prevalent in society.
We are inexplicably drawn to people whom we connect deeply, everyone yearns for someone who would be there for them amidst trivialities and tempestuous storms that may befall them.
Amazing performance by all of em.

These two actually needed eachother in the truest sense, unlike romance dramas where the characters are just motivated by how cute someone is
I think this drama is so powerful because it shows the story of how two people who quiet possibly are going through the same things and are in the same mental space act when together. it shows how they both deal with their personal issues and feelings differently but when they are together they both explode because they know without a doubt the other will save them/clean up after them

Same! I don't understand why everyone is hating on her. If I were her, I probably wouldn't have stolen jisoo's phone but I do understand why she did it and its pretty clear that she was with jisoo all this time because he knew the real her, unlike all her other friends and her parents.

@@rothpmo6744 I think all she needs is run from her parents and her life. She needs money for it. She also wants to know how could Jisoo get a lot money by doing his job. But at the end, she was changing her mind and helped him a lot.
Although lot of problems in this story is caused by Gyuri, at least she tried to fix that and help Jisoo from his problems

I really love how they portrayed what a toxic relatioship looks like, although I like them together it is pretty clear they're not good for each other (Jisoo says so himself)

yes sure. jisoo was only disperate. no parents and no money and bully around. instead gyuri was really sick and with great problems.
@valentine I don't think their relationship was toxic although jisoo says it, cause you remember the scene in ep10 where he's in a very bad state and then decides to call Gyuri? that made me realise how imp it is to have someone in your life who knows your situation, during difficult phases. Jisoo only had Gyuri.
@ama Yes they're both broken, Jisoo was leading a dangerous life while Gyuri was suicidal, and wanted to escape her controlling parents (or atleast be loved by them). I feel sad seeing people blaming/hating the leads, I mean, I could see and feel how broken they are. So where and to whom can broken people go? They were afraid of associating and showing their true self with others because they might be judged or maybe the people around them would end up broken too. I guess that's why they stuck to each other. At the end of the day, a broken person can only feel safe with another broken person. 🙂
BY THE WAY, IT WAS BAD PARENTING THAT LED TO THE DISASTER. THE PARENTS WERE MOSTLY TO BLAME. I SEE PEOPLE HATING GYURI BUT I DON'T SEE ANYONE HATING THE MOTHER. I MEAN, HER DAUGHTER WAS SUICIDAL AND SHE WAS SAYING THAT IT WAS ONLY GYURI'S REBELLIOUS BEHAVIOR? WHAT THE FUCK?!

I love this drama. The way I know they were wrong but cant help but to sympathize with them.
I can say that extracurricular is good as class of lie extracurricular is not your typical high school drama its *dark* *as* *hell* and *deep* *as* *ocean* .

who else HATED gruyi when you first started the show. she basically ruined this dude’s ENTIRE life. After making him lose all his life savings, everything went downhill from there. her character had some redeemable moments, but i still hate her.
Same. If it wasn't for her, none of the shit that happened would've happened. Even at the end, i couldn't bring myself to like her.
i think she want help him to stop it. but she have problems too and this two are too young for help each other and its really hard when u see a lot of money to stop it. It was only a joke for two young child but dangerous.
