Lol. That's actually a good point. If you do want to get high PR then you should play and do well in ships that everyone else does poorly in! I just don't think ranked is the place for that.

My Thunderer got absolutely dumped on by an Audacious yesterday in ranked, double flood, DC, double flood....3 minutes later double fire, DC, triple fire. Hakyru fighter support completely ignored the Audacious bombers lol
Feel bad everytine I leave fighters for my ships and when enemy planes go for attack my fighters are like: they are on the other side of the circle, it's too far anyway lol.
I'm not even sure of the point of Audacious. I never see her in any game. So I can't ask anyone. The only thing different I see is the carpet bombing, but it just sounds like a gimmick and something that wouldn't be that great.
Carpet bombers are actually phenomenal and are resilient to AA, however the main weakness is that their bomb penetration is not very good. They can bomb the crap out of baguettes but that doesn’t really justify using her.
Do note, it doesn't matter whether you take SE or Aircraft Armor, you pretty much get the same effect from either (10% of 2.5k hp = 250, or SE: 10x25 = 250, there's probably a PERFECT choice, but you really won't notice it on this thing, the planes are THICCCC).
If they're the same then SE is better, right? It buffs your CV HP as well. On top of that, aircraft armor only works vs continuous damage and not flak.
@@Aerroon Flak eats planes regardless of how much HP they have, 250 on the Brit really won't save you if you face plant into two clouds. On the Hakyu, or the MVR, yeah it'll save you, but the base HP on the Audacious is already high enough to survive any one flak puff. Buffing your factory's HP is a bonus that you really won't ever see. If you're considering that you're playing in the MVR, and even then 3.5k is really only noticeable if you've got a max hp of 15k. What you're looking for is loiter/ extending your ability to extend your attack time when you're over something like a Halland. And I mean over, flak only hits out beyond 4km or w/e in general, and can be dodged.
Audacious needs one of these two to be better: 1) Buffed pen and slightly smaller reticle on rockets. 2) Higher Alpha and way smaller reticle on Bombers.
gotta wonder: is there any way to set the game language to be the languae of your ship automatically, or do you have to change it manually from setting each time you change nationality?
British ships in general are pretty much made for HE. Even their BBs are mostly good for HE spam. Problem with the audacious is that it neither penetrates nor does all that much fire damage. So your suggestion to increase fire chance would be good imo.

You should check out flambass' Twitch VoD from yesterday or two days ago, don't remember. This demonstrate very well why Audacious is crap and why Manfred von Richthofen is broken op, literally. Flambass demonstrate how to win ranked within 6 minutes by sniping and sinking the enemy Audacious in a MvR with AP rockets without the Audacious having any chance at all. After the CV is dead it's a free ranked win, because MvR craps on everything in the game.
That's not really true. His team probably carried him there or was able to fight outnumbered. His team had to fight for 6 minutes one ship down and didn't end up losing hard. My games often end by the 9-10 minute mark, which means that if I spend half the game trying to sink a CV we'd just lose. A CV can't 1v4.

More often than not he's tucked behind in the back, so you're not really doing any spotting there (apart from the CV and any nearby BBs), you have a long flight time, and even IF you kill him, it usually takes quite a bit of time to do. Haven't watched the video, but knowing Flambass' content, he usually cherry picks games where he does stupid plays that only work because he brought a coordinated super unicum division. His plays are not representative at all, and not something one should try to emulate either.

It's one of the ones that's balanced. I would say the Midway is too, and all of them will be once the changes go in.
