@@FraserAtSea no not at all! I think the j is the most difficult to pronounce for english speakers as in most of the english words its hard and short like go, but in dutch its long and soft if you know what I mean
Great video! For having been to Aruba on MS Rotterdam in February, beautiful Eagle beach seems never crowded as Palm beach further north is busier. … Well done once more Fraser.
Fun video as usual, Fraser! 😃 Aruba just might be most dream-like and colorful place I’ve seen.. from the shuttles, the sands, the waters, and the downtown buildings. Def added to travel list ✅ lastly, glad to see you enjoyed an orange soda in Oranjestad (hehe) 🍊😂
Aruba!! One amazing island that I have visited twice for a week at a time!! Wonderful place and I don't know, but always perfect weather!! Indeed, Eagle Beach is great, but can get busy, and as you see, take a walk and just find a resort and use its beach. If you ever have the opportunity to get back, check out the other side of Aruba...a whole different world over there...rough ocean waves crashing all over the coral coastline! Crazy different!! Let people be comfortable in their attire...it's vacation time and all about the fun indeed! Now in my opinion, an apple pie or tart without ice cream would have been sacrilege!! LOL
Oh, I went back a while later while cruising with HAL and did some totally different stuff - watch this space…! Your comment re the apple tart made me laugh - I’d agree!!
Great again Fraser. I’ve been to Aruba a few times, I think it’s one of the best islands in the Caribbean. Yes been to Eagle beach, wow. Did you see any gecko’s, we saw loads in hiding places around the town 😀. The last time we were there was a tropical storm wow, never seen rain like it, the road where like gushing rivers 😳
This is interesting - I did wonder about the rain as it was so warm when I was there! I did actually see lots of geckos - not on this visit though - on the next one, yes! Thanks a lot for watching - I agree it’s a gorgeous place!
Loved this video. We were in Aruba a month ago and loved it. We sailed on Celebrity Beyond. We were lucky enough to have an overnight there. It's beautiful and definitely a place we would go back to. Eagle Beach is stunning!!Have loved following you on your travels. Safe travels and Happy Easter 🐣
Ahh, what a place for an overnight, and what a ship you chose - that would be amaziiiiing! Thanks so much for following along, and for taking the time to leave a comment - Happy Easter!!
When we booked our first Cunard cruise, we looked at the website and it gave us all the information about dress codes, so we were prepared. They also sent us information about it. What we love about Cunard is the dress code and the peace. We hate crowds and noise, so it suits us beautifully. Relaxation is what it's all about for us. I believe the Yacht Club is busy until the wee hours with dancing and music. Thanks for another episode of your cruise. I've never been to the Caribbean.
Yeah, Cunard seem to offer ‘peace and quiet’ really well - it was so chilled out during my time onboard. It’s amazing if all of their ships are like that! Thanks for watching, Joan - happy Easter! 🥚 🐥
Wow!! Just beautiful!! Thanks!!! So..if I understand you can just walk from the beach to the ship? Did you take another taxi to go back to the shuttle bus ?
Hey! Correct - I didn’t, as I had no clue where I was going, but you can walk. That said, it’s quite a long walk, but do-able. Take water and you’ll be fine 😊 Thanks for watching!
Thanks for another great video, Fraser. Can you tell us in your videos when (the month) you visited the places as they look amazing. Definitely going to put this cruise on my to-do list 😊
Oh, I know - what a place - I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw Eagle Beach - stunning. Wait for my next visit when I show you the flamingo place - definition of pure paradise, for sure! Thanks for watching as always! ❤️
Hi, going to Aruba in November, can you remember the name of the beach/bar you stopped at on your walk back. We want to try and book some beds for our visit or at least know where we are going, cheers 😊
Hey! If you search for Casa Del Mar Beach, there are loads of beach bars all along that coastline - you won’t struggle to find them. This then joins onto Eagle Beach, so perfect for the walk back! Thanks a lot for watching 😊 Enjoy Aruba! 🇦🇼 🏝️
I hadn't been interested in a Caribbean stop for a cruise prior to this vlog... Aruba seems like a more out of the way option compared to other Caribbean venues...
The other Caribbean stops seem so much more commercialized some how... I'm still leaning towards a European cruise for my first one .. go big or go home. .. being in US, seems like Caribbean is a convenient closer option...
I have been cruising Cunard since I will 19 y.o. was my spinster aunt. Indeed, it is old SKOOL luxury cruising and passengers love to wear formal clothing. I agree, "Smart Dress" is old sKool corporation casual Friday's. This is all outdated and hard to take folks seriously wearing the same dress they wore to funerals--🤣🤪 I'm glad you felt comfy and enjoyed your vacation.

Stunning beaches
Aruba is an amazing island. Very clean, very safe, and the all (mostly) speak English.
My absolute favourite Caribbean island.
I agree - it’s such a clean, safe place. Thanks so much for watching, and taking the time to comment!
As a dutchie you were close with your pronunciation of Oranjestad. The je sounds more like yu with the y from yes, the rest was spot on
Ahh, I’m so glad I haven’t offended - thanks a lot for letting me know!

We did a round the island trip before a beach and had a snack on a first floor restaurant overlooking the road . Loved Aruba interesting island
Ahh, I didn't realise there were restaurants there - you'd recommend?

Hey! Sure - happy to answer any questions - this Aruba visit was early September 😊
@@FraserAtSea excellent. Thanks
Omg…. Is this paradise odd what? I need to visit but I may find they need a crow bar to get me off! Fantastic video as always.

How much was the taxi to the beach?
From memory, I think about 30 USD…
What about the nightclub I had a great time in there ?
Ooh! Which nightclub?
