This story is so passive-aggressive ridiculous. I can't believe I listened to the whole story. His parents kick him out, so he buys a house across the street to teach them a lesson on what exactly? Then he gets irritated because now he needs his space 😂🤣😅😆
Some punk ass kid skating at home has enough money to buy a home but would rather live off parents rent free. His big idea is to move next door to "get back". He gets upset because his parents come over constantly. What did he expect.
And sad how many young adults don’t understand that parents want to get their couple ’s lives once they’ ve finished raising their children . They don’t even see their parents as a couple who needs privacy , just as they refuse to think that their parents have intimacy .
OP you didnt take their hints that it was time to be independent and move out on your own; so they forced you out.. Then you move right next door; what did you expect would happen..
Op you seems to have a good parents, a bit clingy but great parents, it's sure is different from the rest of the stories I have heard so far, all I can say is, be gentle and kind to them. You can tell, they really love you unlike all the other toxic parents on this app.
OP is such a tool. His parents wanted him to grow up & move out so he takes it as a challenge. They had a RIGHT to have their house all to themselves. And he gets petty. You live across the street and maybe they just wanted to check on you to ensure you can make it on your own. You are despicable and they were right. You have the maturity of a 15 year old! Leave your parents alone! You are such a fool.
Makes me wonder how old this guy is that he had enough money saved to buy a house. I wasn’t even sure he had a job. But if he had that much, he should have been looking for another place to live. It’s not a parents job to financially support their children their whole lives and this guy even admitted he was taking advantage of them. Time to grow up and stand on your own 2 feet!
Your poor parents are dealing with empty nests. The house isn't the same when you were there and they really miss you because they love you. And please don't be mean to them just go to their house and visit with them sometimes ❤❤❤
After a certain time a parents job is done and their new life being child free after so many years of catering and sacrifice should begin. Some people plan to have children young so that they are young enough themselves when all the kids move out. I know that living rent free is attractive for a grown child, but maybe the parents had plans too for their lives. It's not the natural order of things to live dependent on your parents dime for all you can mooch. They did their job, their job has ended, get on with your own life and let them get on with their own. No parent wants a full grown baby to be responsible for them forever. Grow up.
@pjgumby you make a really thoughtful point. Parents definitely deserve to enjoy their own lives after so much sacrifice, and it’s true that living rent-free can complicate boundaries. Thanks for sharing your perspective, it adds a lot to the discussion!
SELL. HOUSE 🏠 AND MOVE ACROSS TOWN ! BECAUSE THEY ARE GOING TO SALE THEIR HOUSE 🏠 AND. MOVE WITH YOU ! BECAUSE YOU OWE THEM. PLEASE 🙏 PLEASE 🙏 PLEASE 🙏 PLEASE. MOVE AWAY
I don’t know if I should agree or disagree because I’m 20 years old 😅 I still live with my mom and my grouchy bitchy stepdad and my little siblings 😂 sooo yeah

lmao and in this case the parent wanted their indepedence and eat their cake too. U wanted independence u got it but that goes both ways

All of them need therapy - the codependence is off the charts.
@gidgemo1869 haha, you’re not wrong! The family dynamics in this one are definitely a lot to unpack. Appreciate you sharing your take on it!

It looks like you tried to annoy your parents, but ended up being annoyed yourself. Your purchase backfired.
Absolutely no sympathy for OP he shouldn't have bought a house so close to them
@kevinmorrill8342 that’s a solid point, sometimes being too close can cause more problems. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

Update... mom and dad sell their house and move to a lovely retirement community and spend OP's inheritance traveling. 😅😅😅
Adult child. Doesn't pay rent. His room has everything he needs. I don't think I'm listening to anymore. Have a good day.
You did it to yourself.Moving so close was you. Not letting them go. Wife and kids? Soon ?
G-ma and G-pa are waiting
Was it next door or across the street? Nice story but I doubt it's true with that great difference in the tale.
Talk about failure to launch 🤣😅😂😭 grown arse man still living at home 🤦🏽🤦🏽♀️
So person had money to buy own house but person was freeloading at his parents?........horrible person
That's exactly what I was thinking.

That's what happens when you try to be a smartass

POP. UPS. STAY ON THE PORCH ! LEAVING THEM. KNOCKING

My parents expected me to save the money I would have paid for rent for a down payment.
Stupid premise, just being spiteful to his parents.
I know it’s fake but it’s still dumb.
like my nephew told me proudly they were camping behind their house
You’re so blessed. Other children have rotten parents to the core.

This story is made up and terribly written. Either the AI that wrote it is bad or the person who wrote it is a bad writer.
None of your parents business what you are doing….they are the ones that told you to move out…boundaries….
WANTED TO TELL PEOPLE THAT YOU COULDNT EVEN AFFORD FOOD
THE LOOSER CHILD WAS ABLE TO PURCHASE A. HOUSE 🏠. HOUSE 🏡. ON THEIR LEVEL
What an entitled immature person. Your parents should just ignore you. I’m glad they’re harassing you 😂
OP just sounds like a whiner. No wonder the parents wanted him out.
Make up your mind. Is the house next door or across the street?
I don’t know if I should agree or disagree because I’m 20 years old 😅 I still live with my mom and my grouchy bitchy stepdad and my little siblings 😂 sooo yeah
no real-point story... and absolutely not hilarious at all... quite boring, indeed
Next door or across the street?😊
Every body loves Raymond, everyone should know what to expect when you live next to family, it will never end unless you move.
Was it next door or across the street? They are not interchangeable or synonymous.
So boring.
