Hi, it's my first time visiting LA. Hope to hear from experienced universal goers some advice if I am able to do majority of the rides and attraction by taking up the after 2pm day/night express pass on 8 Sept,Friday. Or I should get two separate express pass for full day in universal then the Halloween night. Any comment is much appreciated. TIA!
Are you actively working on getting your ban from universal Florida removed? Any update on that situation? I mean, you would think after all this time they would be willing to hug it out…
It would be good PR on Universal's part but it may set a precedent for further individuals to say, "hey you don't actually get a lifetime ban just a slap on the wrist". I still think Adam deserves a pass though.
@@Dxtuned true, but given that Disney allowed him back you would just assume that eventually Universal would do the same. I hope they do let him come back though, I agree! :)
@@poss4757 he got banned years ago for going into restricted areas and videotaping…there’s a video on his channel about the whole thing. Just type in “Adam the woo banned from Universal”…should come right up
My Dad did a lot of the picture frames for the Big Boy chain. When I was a kid when we dropped off the picture frames they sat me down and gave me a Big Boy and fries with a chocolate shake. Those were the days.
I was waiting for you to mention how long you waited in the express lane compared to the regular line. I just wanted to see if the express pass is worth it
The first time I visited LA I was shellshocked to find a Big Boy on the west coast. I’m from the midwest, literally live down the street from a Frisch’s and was convinced it was just a midwest franchise. Great vlog! Hoping to visit USH one day.
Ah, it sure brings back some nice memories. My four years of days and nights working at Universal Studios (I barely recognize the backlot -- it's changed so much!), and countless late-night meals at Bob's Big Boy. Gosh, I remember when the chili spaghetti (I think my favorite thing on the menu) was about $7.50 -- and now it's $13.00+!! Anyway, I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit to my neck of the woods, Adam!
I need to make it out there to see that jaws portion of the tram tour! Been seeing it for years and as a huge jaws fan that lives in Orlando I need to go see that since they got rid of out jaws ride
Elias Big Boys in Michigan and Ohio, Im 57 and I waitressed their and became manger back in my early 30's, the onion rings were a biatch to prep, hand dipped, made thousands of trays of those,,,, Daphne and Tim in your video's what a great way to end my day
Always a pleasure scaring you! You said it was the last time, but MAYBE we'll see you once more before November comes. Gotta walk through the fog on a cool chilly night.
I grew up with, and worked at a Frisch's Big Boy in Ohio for a summer before nursing school. I am now living in Tennessee, where there is a Shoney's Big Boy They no longer sell the double decker hamburger here. I still make chili spaghetti at home! Thanks for the memories...
Recall my 1st Bob's big boy visit was after a very long day at marineland of the Pacific with my cousin and then a must eat at Bob's. At that time it seemed to me like a classy place. It might have been Pacific ocean park we were at.
We almost moved to those apartments across from that dog park area that’s right across from Universal. Lol. It was a little out of our price range. We opted for apartments that are a 7 minute drive from Universal, so still close, just not as close.
however Big boy started in Michigan it's headquarters is here in Michigan you may maybe have the oldest Bob's Big boy but we have the oldest iconic big boy here in Michigan
I was at HHN the same night as you! I would've loved to have met you. I experienced RIP that night and loved every bit of it. So happy to see you are having a great time in so cal!!
I was a huge fan of Tracker until they did a fund raiser for Planned Parenthood a while back. Raising 10s of thousands of $ for people that kill babies past 6 months in the womb is sick and I have to make sure everyone knows the truth and never forgets it.
Big Boy was my childhood I miss it so much. I went about 10 years ago in Ohio Frichs Big Boy like you said. My favorite growing up was fish and chips. I love their cake Sunday so yummy. We miss Bob's Big Boy. Grew up with it in Riverside; and for a brief while they had one in Morro Bay not far from us. Sadly that one didn't last. I don't watch HHN etc. videos normally but I had to check this one out. Thanks!
Adam, have you ever asked Tom Wilson about visiting the Back to the Future set with you? This may have been asked and answered before and if so, I apologize.
I friggin LOVE that Bob's Big Boy, great service, best value, and the vibe there is always on point! Sorry dude, but "Big the Boy" is taken, he's hanging out in my car already. The single most terrifying shot in this entire video was that horrifying Kevin McAllister-murdering bee just chillin on Adam's palm, omg, have you seen "My Girl"! ? Also, what that tram tour really needs are a few Jimmy Fallon characters running around, laughing , and constantly interrupting everyone throughout maze,--now that'd be horrifying! heh
Look forward to watching this video as soon as seen thumb nail had to watch right away. I can't do horror nights as I'm such a scardy cat so love watching others
Why do I feel like I have been to Universal a 100 times? And then you point out the coffee table! and totally made me want to go there again! I get it now Adam. Danke
Frisch's Big Boy mobile-location-icon STORY Dave Frisch The ninth of ten children, Dave Frisch followed in the footsteps of his father Samuel Frisch, who in 1905 opened the Frisch Café in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1915, Samuel opened Frisch’s Stag Lunch in Norwood, a suburb of Cincinnati. Dave withdrew from school as a teenager to work full-time in his father’s restaurant. He eventually returned to high school, but before he graduated, his father passed away, leaving Dave and his brothers to run the restaurant. In the 1930s, Dave went out on his own, and by 1939, he opened the Mainliner restaurant; Cincinnati’s first year-round drive-in named after the first tri-motor passenger airplane. Today, some 78 years later, a replica of the airplane still adorns the restaurant’s sign. Then in 1946, at an industry convention in California, Dave met Bob Wian who introduced him to a double-decker hamburger called the “Big Boy.” Dave secured permission to adopt the concept but personalized the Big Boy by dressing it with a specially formulated tartar sauce unique to Frisch’s. The Big Boy became an instant hit at Frisch’s first restaurant in Cincinnati - a “drive-in” with room for eight customers inside and sixty cars outside.
Eat 'n Park had a Big Boy when we were younger, identical to your Big Boy. Their menu still has Big Boy Hamburgers. (corner of Route 51 & Streets Run Road; in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, Pa.) Hello Daphne! So good to see you! I love when you join Adam. Hello Adam!
6:12 the Tram Tour guide said Alfred Hitchcock's office is "on the right", when it's on the left (as most of the offices are) - well, it was HIS right because he's turned around, but this would definitely confuse passengers. I guess it's hard to train the guides that they have to say the opposite of which side things are for the passengers.
