10/12...Want to add a few more points: 13. In hills, always keep distance from the vehicle in front when stalled in bumper-to- bumper traffic on a steep slope. Many a times, the vehicle in front doesn't pick up without dragging his vehicle a few inches backwards. 14. Don't overtake on curves. 15. In hills, park your vehicle as much away from the side of the road as possible and check for the possibility of any landslide or stones shooting from above. If the area is newly excavated, stay away from that zone and park elsewhere, especially during monsoon season.

Moving vehicle up on a ramp without handbrake or hill assist. Only on clutch 2. To know the perimeter of a car and exactly what min space required to clean pass. 3. All 12..point 13 for me is that always adjust your speed and distance according to speed of vehicle ahead of you. 14.Always keep your speed in accordance with the clear visible road to you..like on a bend, or on a straight but inclined sloping road..
10 years of driving experience and I got a score of 10 out of 12 I am not great with reversing and precise parking. Second is that I am able to the mindset of other drivers by 70%, there is still room for improvement.

My parents was shocked seeing me driving so efficiently just after 2days after buying my new car .. all my skills I have learnt from your videos only.. Today I can do parellel parking perpendicular parking and reverse my car with ease. I have been driving just 10 years now, but my driving etiquettes, techniques, etc were mostly learned even before I started driving, by sitting and watching experienced and mature drivers who have seen it all. I learned to drive between trucks on a highway and paving my way through them without fear and safely in initial 1 year. So its very important to learn from others. You learn small things from many people, and never ever think you are best and don't need to learn any further. So after seeing the 12 points I can say I can easily claim 11, the 1 point I would slightly ignore is the "too much patience", if there is a possibility to steer my way through traffic safely I sometimes do that based on urgency. Apart from these 12 there are so many others, like hill driving is totally another universe. Very good video, thanks for showing respect to good drivers!

We need to share this type of videos with more & more users as there are many so called drivers who knows dimensions of thier car but with experience and drive well enough. But many of them won't have half of the qualities mentioned by Brother. I scored 7/8 as I have started driving from this year with my own new car.. and I do follow most of the good driver traits as I believe. I lack on rush at times in traffic, also I drive fast at times when I see another one passing by , but this is gradually getting controlled for few weeks. So I rate myself 7 or 8 but gey I have to improve,,, especially parallel parking horizontally, vertical one I do with ease
My father taught me how to drive. He only gave me two golden rules( not really unique but when it comes from a person of authority / role model it sticks differently in your mind). 1) asuume everyone on the road does NOT know how to drive 2) learn control and manueverability . Anyone can drive fast but most cannot drive fast with control These two advices have stuck with me throughout my driving journey
My father bought altroz after at 51 age... Whenever he sits in car first time in day he always bow to steering or harman screen... So whenever I drive I respect every other car on road...😇❤️

The missing points are as follows: No. 13: changing gears at proper RPM/SPEED. Many drivers keep driving in low gears and upshifting very late spinning the engine at high rpm unnecessarily. 14: effortlessly using the steering with full turns with less efforts. Confident drivers steer the car with less frequently rotations but those who are not confident steer in small increments repeatedly till they fully turn the car. This takes more effort than required. 15: Avoid looking at the bonnet to judge distance especially when parking behind any other car or bike. A good driver has sufficient idea how far his bonnet extends. So avoid seeing the bonnet. 16: Good drivers sit comfortably with recline. Nurvous or bad drivers pull the seat forward and stay very close to the steering looking out through the windshield which is a sign of nervousness and lack of confidence. 17: Good drivers turn off all electricals before turning the engine off. First turn off your AC, Music system, lights etc and only after that turn off the engine. This is the reason why in some cars light bulbs go off very frequently. The sign of a good driver is that their light bulbs will last very long before a fuse occurs. This is because every time your start the engine the electrical gadgets will automatically turn on if you had forgotten to turn off last time putting a load on the battry and the bulbs before the circuitry of the car has an opportunity to stabilise. Hope you understand. 18: Use your clutch for a very brief moment when you actually changing a gear and release once the vehicle is on the move. So are you a good driver?? Do your clutch needs to be changed more frequently than other drivers even if they drive the same car??? If yes, you need to improve your driving habits. 10 out of 12 (no amazing parking skills neither great reverse skills) I'm a new driver, following your beginner series from the start (and breaking pattern cuz your other videos are interesting too). Had learnt driving 5 yrs back when I took out my licence, no driving since then, bought a car now, and practicing the basics for 3 weeks now. First of all, BIG THANK YOU! quite an amazing series for new drivers to learn from. The small details and random meaningful bit of information makes your videos a breath of fresh air. And salute to your amazing attitude towards driving and teaching others to drive, and to drive well. 2-3 years after later, your content is still relevant and helpful.
There are a couple of topics I struggle with (3 weeks into driving) - understanding where the forward-left corner of the vehicle is. Do I have enough room to overtake from the right. Will my car get through this gap. - what gear to drive in, in what situations. I'm not talking about speed here, (I saw the 1-10, 2-20, 3-30....+/-5 video,) I'm talking about situations like, at what speed to approach speed breakers and bumps, do I keep shifting to 2nd gear every speed breakers? Is frequent gear changing bad for the engine? If I'm driving in 2nd or 3rd, and I can see a bump in the distance, should I gear up or just push the clutch and let the car float to the bump - there was a lesson that the driving school had done, which covered the checks a driver should do or know about (oil level checks, viper fluid, whatnot) things that a driver should know about and should be able to check, a checklist before starting a vehicles.

We need to share this type of videos with more & more users as there are many so called drivers who knows dimensions of thier car but with experience and drive well enough.
But many of them won't have half of the qualities mentioned by Brother.
These are the videos we need & act upon to improve our Indian Driving Style to minimize the risk to us or others cause someone is waiting for everyone to reach home safely.

But very few creators think about these kind of videos.
I'm a new driver who is sensible as you mentioned but I found many others driving rashly without knowing any rule.
There're many videos by foreigners although they obey highway rules better than us.
But your Hindi video has more power to enlighten our Indian users.
Kudos to you for your efforts & also accepting your weakness because no one is perfect in this world.

I scored 7/8 as I have started driving from this year with my own new car.. and I do follow most of the good driver traits as I believe. I lack on rush at times in traffic, also I drive fast at times when I see another one passing by , but this is gradually getting controlled for few weeks. So I rate myself 7 or 8 but gey I have to improve,,, especially parallel parking horizontally, vertical one I do with ease

My father taught me how to drive. He only gave me two golden rules( not really unique but when it comes from a person of authority / role model it sticks differently in your mind).
1) asuume everyone on the road does NOT know how to drive
2) learn control and manueverability . Anyone can drive fast but most cannot drive fast with control
These two advices have stuck with me throughout my driving journey
My father bought altroz after at 51 age... Whenever he sits in car first time in day he always bow to steering or harman screen... So whenever I drive I respect every other car on road...😇❤️

No. 13: changing gears at proper RPM/SPEED. Many drivers keep driving in low gears and upshifting very late spinning the engine at high rpm unnecessarily.
14: effortlessly using the steering with full turns with less efforts. Confident drivers steer the car with less frequently rotations but those who are not confident steer in small increments repeatedly till they fully turn the car. This takes more effort than required.
15: Avoid looking at the bonnet to judge distance especially when parking behind any other car or bike. A good driver has sufficient idea how far his bonnet extends. So avoid seeing the bonnet.
16: Good drivers sit comfortably with recline. Nurvous or bad drivers pull the seat forward and stay very close to the steering looking out through the windshield which is a sign of nervousness and lack of confidence.
17: Good drivers turn off all electricals before turning the engine off. First turn off your AC, Music system, lights etc and only after that turn off the engine. This is the reason why in some cars light bulbs go off very frequently. The sign of a good driver is that their light bulbs will last very long before a fuse occurs. This is because every time your start the engine the electrical gadgets will automatically turn on if you had forgotten to turn off last time putting a load on the battry and the bulbs before the circuitry of the car has an opportunity to stabilise. Hope you understand.
18: Use your clutch for a very brief moment when you actually changing a gear and release once the vehicle is on the move. So are you a good driver?? Do your clutch needs to be changed more frequently than other drivers even if they drive the same car??? If yes, you need to improve your driving habits.

8/12, I need to improve in narrow street reverse movement, parallel and perpendicular reverse parking and downshift of gears from high speed to lower speed.
I have been driving/learning a car from past 03 months only but my score is 10, only point 8 & 9 I have been improving

Always drive in middle of road so that u have plenty of space on both the side if unfortunately your tyre burst then u will have space in both the direction to slow down ur car

I'm a new driver, following your beginner series from the start (and breaking pattern cuz your other videos are interesting too). Had learnt driving 5 yrs back when I took out my licence, no driving since then, bought a car now, and practicing the basics for 3 weeks now.
First of all, BIG THANK YOU! quite an amazing series for new drivers to learn from. The small details and random meaningful bit of information makes your videos a breath of fresh air. And salute to your amazing attitude towards driving and teaching others to drive, and to drive well. 2-3 years after later, your content is still relevant and helpful.
There are a couple of topics I struggle with (3 weeks into driving)
- understanding where the forward-left corner of the vehicle is. Do I have enough room to overtake from the right. Will my car get through this gap.
- what gear to drive in, in what situations. I'm not talking about speed here, (I saw the 1-10, 2-20, 3-30....+/-5 video,) I'm talking about situations like, at what speed to approach speed breakers and bumps, do I keep shifting to 2nd gear every speed breakers? Is frequent gear changing bad for the engine? If I'm driving in 2nd or 3rd, and I can see a bump in the distance, should I gear up or just push the clutch and let the car float to the bump
- there was a lesson that the driving school had done, which covered the checks a driver should do or know about (oil level checks, viper fluid, whatnot) things that a driver should know about and should be able to check, a checklist before starting a vehicles.
