Tanglewood Arena - Leicestershire
So we have opening meet next weekend so i thought we should do some jumping before then! This is my first time going to Tanglewood and it wont be my last! Its great! nice and quite and the jumps are always out! We havet done any jumping since the Atherstone Teamchase so we kept it quite small and just had some fun! Biggest we jumped was about 90cm :)

A tip for you cause I struggled with this as well: Don't try and fit a certain striding in a line. Just start counting 3 strides before a jump , it'll make it so much easier to see a good distance instead of when you're focussing on a certain number.

I do that most of the time but we don't do combinations that often so it's just getting back into the swing of things 😅

Please stop blaming it on her, it's not her fault. I think you're an amazing rider but when you said stuff was because she didn't realize it you either had not enough leg or too much leg
It sure takes a lot of practice but I like how you’re not just going in the same pattern but having variety for your horse. Fun for both of you.

Carrie took those like nothing! my horse would have long strided and bunny hopped then i would have fallen off! she looks so smart as well from her clip , i would dream to have a horse like carrie she looks like a dream! ◕_◕ ツ
a horse i use to ride would make ground poles feel like a 3 foot fence...

if you need to fit strides in it is helpful to do it once and get a feel for the line then after decide if you are going to slow for the add or go for the number

two things! your heavy breathing? that doesnt matter, it happens to the best of us. it happens at times. no bother to anyone. two, carrie makes the jumps seem 10x smaller hahaxx

Hey you - you have the same type of confidence as i have, its a bit tricky sometimes - But something i have noticed, is you only like comments when people praise you - you dont even care about the tips people give you, they are right in many ways. And as one said, you blaming the horse for not seeing how tall, or long the fence are. Its never the horses fault, its always the rider.
I say one jokey comment and it's taken way out of proportion 😒 I always take on board people criticism, there's always more to learn.

my horse has the same thing with the shorter striding! his strides are smaller than ‘normal’ strides!
