I am in the house painting business. My GBP was suspended, and it was a nightmare! I don't want to ever go through that again. My business is listed as having no location and home service only; they don't let me list an address or have a PIN in maps. And I have been watching you to help me get more business. My question is, When you say around 5:14 in, to get more exposure to my business, I can connect for Google inside of products because there’s an interlink you can link. If I do this, will I get in trouble with Google guidelines, and will it still be okay with Google to do this?

Hi Chris & thanks for great content! A lot of GB pages add the keywords such us a location they service next to their names irrespectively that is not 100% accurate! Is this against the guidelines? And is there any chance to get banned or reported? Hypothetically i have business which is renting trucks and delivering them in London Airport, but is not located in London Airport! And some business add to google business name the word Airport! For example: Chris Palmer: Truck Rentals London Airport, Truck Rentals London City, truck rentals West London! And your store is located in lets say in somewhere in London but not in Airport!

Best info I've seen on this topic. Don't think I caught anything regarding online estimates. For home service industry, I'm seeing that in their profile and I'm wondering what it is. I don't see it as a GBP platform function and some listings with it don't even have a website linked or they put their Facebook page. Maybe just having a quote form on the website qualifies.

However after searching for companies that do these services it seems in their experience and expertise, they seem to get really advanced with it.. I’m looking to start a business like this that’ll help bring value and am able to make an income right away to build off of. Is this possible? And how or when would you suggest outsourcing services offered?
Super helpful video Chris. Is GMB only for local physical businesses? I have a blog and was told to sign up to GMB to establish EAT but most of it applies to physical retail businesses only.
You can use A Gmb to validate any entity regardless if you have a physical address or not but you will still need to verify an address but you don’t have to show it

What if you have a broad category like consultant as a primary category? Should you specify the type of consulting you do in services? The type of consulting I do is not listed as a primary category. Also, how does a company get a Provides check mark on their GMB listing? I have seen competitors with this and cannot figure it out.
No mater what I try, the picture I add to the product for my service business becomes "not approved" and I can't add them because the issue is "Generic Image- use an image that shows the product". The images you are using in this video are completely unrelated but they are still approved, how did you do this?
Are you recomending not to use custom services ? I have a service as consulting but there is no option for consulting in food handling , so i created a custom one , that is even the keyword i want to ranck . @@chris-palmer - Interesting. I would think their systems know to expect UTM tags on profiles. Would it not still pass the same ranking signals? Many larger agencies add UTM tags to the web address to separate their organic traffic from GBP traffic.

Tried getting booking provider but it only shows 'Highlevel' as a provider which is some marketing company. I book through square/weebly

you can see old offers and posts under the profile on desktop also on mobile then click the 3 dots to edit

Change your covers and log image make sure there the same image , Google will show it then usually .

You can but do not pack the services , do consulting plus one custom .
