Think of anything lightweight and harmless you really love and then imagine someone you love thows that either at you or on you- be honest- you'd initially be shocked followed by really happy or mildly uplifted at the least. "What if they grow up and think this is normal?"- it is normal! 😂 Taking a pie to the face has been a classic part of humour for who knows how long- its funny to the person throwing the pie, funny to the person with cream and pastry on their face and funny to anyone who happens to see it- even if it isnt side splittingly hilarious its almost completely harmless granted the thrower doesnt actually intend harm. Adults do this type of thing all the time, children do it too, babies dont because they dont know humor yet (even tho they can rival the best comedians at times) but it seems some people never learn humour. Im not the most lighthearted or comedic but I do know we have to allow ourselves to be happy before we can begin to laugh- try letting absolutely everything go and sit in the moment purely to yourself for yourself and say "its ok to laugh" or "I deserve to be happy" or some other positive affirmation. Repeat until we can feel ourselves lighten and then take the next step of consciously thinking of things we enjoy or might enjoy, possibly make a list. Next step is do that thing whether its paint or go for a walk or read or watch stand up comedy- "why?", "for what reason or purpose?"- for no reason, for no purpose other than because you decided that is what you wanted to do. If an adult in a relationship threw a piece of cheese in their partners face because they were crying or distressed I don't think the relationship would end well ! This is disrespectful, unkind and totally lacking in empathy ! What sort of terrible role model is this for the baby ?
