Wow. that brought back a flood of memories having attended Dingle Vale back when. My uncle was one of his mates, even had the Beatles as a supporting group at the Cavern, then, the rolls reversed, and his group played as the supporting act a few times.
Ringo's old school suddenly remembered him when he got famous 😉Harry Graves on the video here, was Ringo’s Step Father and Guardian. Ringo said, ‘I learnt gentleness from Harry’.
absolutely brilliant thanks for posting all 7 parts very interesting im going back to liverpool very soon to explore thes places mentioned here i have been to arnold grove and madryn st which is all boarded up now i was there last week as it goes but i must go back and have a look in the empress pub ive been a big beatles fan since 1964 and i love visiting all beatles locations
Holding hands was a BIG deal as a teen... only allowed boy to kiss u if he was a 'steady' boyfriend.... aaaah the innocence... this "Boys" song reminds me of that sweet pure time... 1960's were gr8! Blaauwbergstrand, Eddie Erickson... Lulu & Mick & Brian Faux, Susan Malan, Geoffrey van der Merwe....
I was just telling someone the other day that in my opinion you *CRUSHED* "Boys,* really ripped it right out, and that while I appreciated the Stones' version, it didn't compare. Some guy, describing the Scousers vs what kinds of guys the Stones were (Cambridge, Oxford) said that you were to be feared--you'd "kick the piss" out of anyone who crossed you. Maybe, maybe not, but your "Boys" definitely had that raw American edge that I think you guys were seeking.
Ringo seems very normal, and a good dad
Yes he is
Ringo was always a sweetie.
I love how Ringo referred to his Harry as his dad even though he's his step-dad.
Happy 80th Birthday Richard Starkey! DINGLE Lad Done Well!
STORMY TEMPEST he’s a wanker
There were two other singers that went Ringo's first school, Gerry Marsden from Gerry and the Pacemakers and Billy Fury! :)
Wulfgar ringo isn’t a singer haha
J Lee, it doesn't matter. He is a good drummer.
Ringo's a starr. Great vid and what a nice guy.

He also wrote Harry’s Song on the Liverpool8 album for him! Ringo definitely thought a lot of him, bless his heart

I accidentally turned on the closed captions- hilarious!
It is sometimes necessary to recognize that the Beatles are human.
The Best drum
In some ways, you see still are! 😁

hij heeft wel geld maar zingen kan hij niet en zal het ook nooit kunnen
sounds posh now .lost his accent
...but what a good drummer!
Why does Ringo's son have long hair like a girl? Does this mean he's gay?
Didn't all the beatles have long hair before
Grow up. Idiotic comment.
Just because a boy has long hair doesn't mean he's gay
