    Good points on the timeframe and amount of players, but the data could also be heavily influenced by the +3 days of DDOS attacks, on top of not knowing if rolled back games counted towards the data. Bard probably would've received more fixes if Ironmace wasn't having to deal with hotfixing market/Cleric spells/server issues on top of finding avenues to distribute those patch updates due to the lawsuit.

      @@clowdk Forgot to mention some opinions on class performances from the data:
      Rogue: The most important strength besides the points you mentioned was due to them being the only class to have full air control due to the double jump perk. Every other class had a fixed trajectory based on your movement once your feet left the ground, with no way to adjust until you landed on the ground again. It made Rogues nearly impossible to hit effectively. Fixes I would do is remove the ability to move while in the air or implement a fatigue system for jumping, or remove Rogues access to the hand crossbow and give it to Bards while increasing throwing knife stack quantity and adding a flat damage perk to dagger + throwing weapons specifically to offset the Rapier range meta.
      Wizard: Fairly bad spot as a starter/mid tier gear due to Rogue meta, basically needed to run double spell memory to run Light Orb otherwise you become a walking lootbag. Resting does help with spell recovery, but you inherently have less combat effectiveness due to equipment restrictions (no access to shields to block ranged/melee attacks) and once you are out of spells you are useless due to limited weapon selection. I'd definitely change the Wizard Hat/Old Shoes to give +Will +Knowledge and/or spell capacity/recovery, and add a Wizard's Robe to make the set only useable by Wizards (and Warlocks once added.) Also, allow them to use a Rapier to give a balance of lower damage/faster attack compared to a Crystal Sword and probably buff the Rondel dagger since was in a terrible spot the entire playtest. Maybe even move Arcane Shield from being a skill to a self-only spell to help in close combat situations.

      @@clowdk Ah good call on that, never noticed it when using it on Ruins. I guess it is fairly balanced if the map gets updated to prevent wall camping.

    Ironmace saw Wizards underperforming heavily in play test 4 and really said “let’s reduce their stats by 5”

    It is also worth mentioning that all attributes and flat damage nerfs hurt wizards the most out of all classes.

    For fighter, I’d say their high kill rate was most likely due to the fact that a lot more players knew about damage reduction stacking. That, and learning how to parry with the longsword + the new perk that massively buffed the long sword riposte.
    Essentially, the difference was a knowledge gap.

    I suspect high part of fighter performace was
    1 being better ranger and
    2 being able to recharge sec-wind by laying down
    average players are REALLY bad so having more healing for free is a massive boost to their performance.

      Recharging Second Wind while sitting down took 300 seconds (more than half a match) and was patched within a couple days. It was a non-factor.

    The reason fighter skyrocketed in plays and kills : deaths this test is because there was no wizards around to counter them

    Cleric's new Locust Swarm was bugged for most of the playtest, dealing much more damage than intended. This might be why cleric has more kills this playtest.

    Also the data on cleric is kind of off. Cleric went from being the best class in the game with locus swarm and then got nerfed back down half way in the test.

      @@clowdk yeah but I think you’d kind of have to be crazy otherwise. I mean cleric with maybe 200g of gear could kill an entire team, in one attack, in an aoe, in half a second. Didn’t play the first few playtests but that’s gotta be the strongest any class has ever been. And then cleric got reduced back down to almost last playtest.

    Fighter's performance leap could be due to Fighter having a moderately higher skill floor than other melee classes due to the clumsy blocking mechanics being hard to get used to. New players often struggle with the blocking system and hurt themselves trying to go for blocks but experienced ones get a lot of value out of it(or don't actually try to block at all). The accessibility filter meant far fewer new players dying to attempted blocks.

      Yea new players normally go fighter and i felt like rogue is in a good spot its a dps class it should have high kill count barb is still more op if u look at the charts so really if they just add a barrier to the new map double jump is really not op at all cleric is if anything they shouldn't hold a top dps spot they are generally the healer so swarm and earthquake need to be nerfed still imo and buff the fuck out of bard but that is a given as they are the new class

      Fighter is the best at stacking Dmg reduction and Wizard is one of the least played classes last pt. + the nature of the playtest means that less casuals were playing. I don't really think it has anything to do with blocking.

    I feel like the stats might be skewed a bit, to the point of being worth considering, because the test size was shorter and smaller than the last one. Plus, I think some regions weren’t able to access the play test.
    Edit: I’m never commenting before watching a video again.

    The quick shot reload nerf was bigger than the arrow nerf

      For sure, but I wonder if it was compensated by the new reload perk. Doubling reload speed is huge.

    I played full Wizard the last 3 playtest, but this one, I decided to be happy, so I played Fighter and well... for god sake, it is fun, easy, rewarding, etc. Maybe that is one of the reasons of the wooping amount of new fighters, because old players are looking for something less painfull to play, you know, go ARRRRGGGG and kill everything.

    great views. I feel that the level of play was significantly higher in general due to how tedious it was for a beginner/casual to play(though frankly torrenting really isn't that hard). Also think that rogue data in total was a bit skewed due to ruins just being way too good for rogue. you join a lobby and 9 of the 18 were rogues. Def think rogue needs a nerf in terms of double jump but not as extreme as removal since you want rogue to fill a role to make people want to play it. never played fighter but it seems to be in a good spot, maybe a little strong but idk. i do want wiz to get some kind of antiphys ranged dmg reduction that only affects himself self-targeting. if not that give em a way to not get slaughtered by longbow ranger. i don't consider ice shield as an option but arcane isn't the worst I think might need a tiny buff.

    you can tell map effect on rogue performance from the fact that ruins doesn't exist in high roller (though goblin caves doesn't either).

    Wizard was really good this test. It's just some many people were turned away from the class the last test. A lot of people just have a hard time getting past the initial gear crawl when starting out. Which imo needs to be looked at going forward.

    𝕾𝖍𝖆𝖉𝖔𝖜 𝖒𝖔𝖓𝖊𝖞 𝖜𝖎𝖟𝖆𝖗𝖉 𝖌𝖆𝖓𝖌....𝖜𝖊 𝖑𝖔𝖛𝖊 𝖈𝖆𝖘𝖙𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖘𝖕𝖊𝖑𝖑𝖘......but on a real note it just didnt make sense with them getting another nerf (and im also pretty sure magic missile got a 1/3 damage nerf but i cant support it cause i cant find the source) it really seems like they made a offensive caster in a game that has low health but high damage and since people didnt like the high damage they just......took away the damage and ammo....and fire rate now. On the bright side i reallly enjoyed the clarity pots and the spells back on rest for the few days that we had that mechanic. Its weird because nowadays wizard feels more gear reliant than even fighter. The only times i saw another wizard they where just running ignite with the rondel dagger to even try and make the class viable. I personally feel that they need to just revert wizard back to the beginning of pt4 and then wait tell they add the rest of the perks, skills, spells for the rest of the classes and tweak from there because right now barely anybody wants to play them. You die fast and need to have very specific stat rolls to make them work. I was running 10 spell this playtest and god i hope they fix this. I get the feeling part of the reason fighters were so abundant was because wizards have just been getting constantly nerfed and pushed out of the meta so that now fighters dont have to worry as much about a wizard melting them will their in full plate.
