thank u this worked perfectly but i think you should mention that you need to convert whatever file you are using to a usable file using a online converter. for instance i screen recorded a video and co vetted it’s audio to mp3 via a mobile converter website

I already had ringtones I downloaded from my Drive but couldn’t use them directly how everything this method worked. It was quick and easy. I am glad I am able to keep my old ringtone from my Samsung; instead of iphone’s traumatizing ringtone half of my family is using.

Spotify songs can't be saved. Get your song on a different way. Normally when you sent with mail or via airdrop it will go in your files folder. Or select it

Hi, great video thanks. Unfortunately, I can’t get it working. I have done exactly every step as described in the video. So, I am successful creating the ringtone from a MP3, I can share and export it and assign it to a contact person. When I assign it to a contact person, I can even play the ringtone successfully.
But … when this person calls me, the default ringtone starts playing, not the one I assigned to the person.
On the contrary, assigning a self-created ringtone as default ringtone does work.
Question: what do I have to do to also assign self-created ringtones to specific contacts successfully?
PS: I have an iPhone 12 Mini and iOS 17.6.1.
