I am currently training with a trainer in the tanker division. Very happy at Prime. Because I have no tanker experience I had to do 20k miles, almost complete and will be headed back to Springfield to finish up and hit the road. Your content helped me with my decision. Thank you again Rex.

25:45 This advice right here is important because as Rex said you can use those points to buy stuff, like a truck GPS for example, or to pay for services like showers, etc. But IMHO if you are building up points you should usually only spend those points for reserve parking 9 times out of 10. Why? Because parking is always something you will be planning your work day around. Having the ability to use your reward points to reserve a spot in advance just makes your day less stress/hassle free. Also I would that Love's, sadly, doesn't have reserve parking even though they have the best truck parking spaces compared to the other truck stops. However that just means you should try spend you points at Loves for showers only.

Is it hard to drive through mountains with a loaded tanker and the liquids swooshing around?? Also does prime have tanker loads around louisiana area?? And 1 more question, do you ever go to west coast? Hopwfully in next 2 to 3 months i can come to prime. Just trying to figure out what division i want to go with. Toss up between tanker and reefer.
No it’s not hard, the surge is from hitting the brakes hard or hitting the gas pedal hard from a stop. It gets smoother with driving experience etc. o have ran out the California, Nevada and Utah it’s been a long time since I’ve ran their though.
They are looking into an AI front facing camera that would detect sleepiness, not paying attention, phone usage etc. From what i understand it wouldn’t be like a real camera constantly recording. Keyword Prime is “looking” into this. It’s not official
JUST think of all the freight that does not get loaded & rolling because all the drivers are camped out at a shipper awaiting unload. I think the industry needs to come together and form a standard policy. 1 hour after a drivers appointed time the receiver gets fined $100.00 PLUS $100.00 for every hour or part thereof thereafter. These receivers need to hire people. America has freight which needs moving. Drivers dont have time to waste waiting on warehouse crews to finish their lunch. !
