- Watch as I fabricate a custom steel road bike frame at the Sklar Bikes shop in Oakland, California.
I used to miter, bend and weld custom bike frames every day for work but now I mostly just do it for fun and to prototype new ideas before the go to production. I love watching frame building, it's a dream to make my own. But it's such a cool combination of jigs and fixtures that so many female builders come up with.

Thanks! That is me scribing centerlines on the down tube so that I can put the bottle bosses right on the center of the tube
So, according to the time, you need to sell these things for $10K per bike? Not sure how you can afford such a shop at this rate of production.
Correct. These bikes usually sell between $12-15k
