I remember smelling Confetto in the Profumum Roma store and liking it. I mean, it was one of the few that I remembered the name of, so yeah, it made an impression. I need to circle back to it. Thank you and have a Great New Year!
Always a pleasure to see a new upload from you. Lilies have romance associations for me, so Lys Noir sounds intriguing actually. A really cool and fun December tray. Looking forward to all your adventures in perfumes in 2025 🎉
Wow, your description of Serge Lutens’ L’Orpheline captured my winter-loving introvert’s attention! ☺️😆 I can’t wait to check it out. Looking forward to travelling later this month and sampling fragrance along the way. 💖 I wonder if the altitude difference between YYC and YYZ plays into the potency and longevity of applications of the same perfume?
I do! But only to wear on the colder days that bookend my field season. This year I brought Frederick Malle’s L’Eau D’Hiver because it’s my favourite scent to have on a scarf and I love to bury my nose in it. I also brought my sample of Vanille Havane by Les Indemodables. Its warm booziness felt like a such luxury, especially in a dry camp(!).Once the sun finds its strength in July, so do the billions of mosquitoes and I become so reliant on deet, sadly.
Love Opoponax as a note. Recently gotten into Byredo Slow Dance, which has it and is delicious. Would like to try that Santa Maria Novella one but they are hard to find!
@ I’ve only had a few samples from them too, but I’ve had several over a few years. I never felt like I could use a whole bottle because it’s such a specific mood of a perfume.
Exactly! Not the type of scent you’d grab if you were late for work and on your way out the door. You’d have to be so thoughtful about wearing it. I felt the same way about Tauer’s L’Air du Desert Marocain.
Dans Tes Bras is fantastic.. a severely underrated Malle. Thanks for the Video!
Thanks for stopping by!
Pre-pee core memories

I definitely think so. Did you travel with any of your perfume when you were up north?

That makes sense. Need to wear something that other people thing smells like bug spray. Maybe a 80’s Chypre will go well with the Deet 😂

They are! But now you’ve got me curious about slow dance!
@ it’s really good and I’m not crazy about Byredo fragrances but this one stands out
I love Lys Noir and you’re the first person I have heard talking about it.
No way! It’s an amazing perfume. I kind of feel lucky to have smelled it because it came to me so randomly.

Do you get root beer from Hypnotic Poison? Once I started smelling root beer, that’s all I could smell.
Hee hee I’ll have to look out for that!
