- We picking up this running, driving 1995 Chevy C/K truck from the original owner for a smooth $2000. Cold A/C and a solid cranking 4.3-liter V6 gave this truck the appeal but a full gas tank and a fresh oil change just shows that the previous owner still has love for this 20+ year old family member.
In the next few issues of Street Trucks Magazine, we are going to take you through the process of giving this truck a new life on the same old roads it’s been cruising down since its inception. First starting with a new RideTech Suspension, AZ Pro Performance Disc Brakes and American Racing Wheels with Nitto Tires. Amazing make over guys , as well to the lovely lady who helped with the coil overs.....However i do have one question on the wheels, i didn't see it in your description , or in the video...But did you have to use wheel adapters or spacers for the nova alloy wheels?......Thanks for a great video and a bad ass truck.

I would really like to see this done on a 99-07 truck this is quite the upgrade compared to the other drop kits offered I have the djm control arm kit 4/6 and the djm upgraded swaybars with lift shackle in rear with caltracs very basic but still puts you into the 2 grand range if you replace the coils and upper and lower coil spring isolation rubbers also this c notch is what should have been developed years ago I made my own support that I welded to the seat bar and stitch welded to the top of the frame rail along with stitch welded in the notch so I could remove it later for upgrades when they became available!!!!!

15 yrs ago u could get a nice OBS for $1500 to $3000 now a rust bucket goes for that or more my 1st car was a "84" Cutlass with the good V8 power windows straight body nice all around $1200 from my dad's friend now I seen the same car color and all $6500 and was in need of TLC big time and it was a V6

That's a clean set-up, but the price tag on just the suspension is gonna dissuade most people I think. That doesn't change the cool factor though. 👍

Did you do a back drum brake to disc conversion on this truck and if so is there anyway you could go more in depth
I never would of thought saying $2k for one of those truck is cheap
you forgot to show about changing out the headlights and grill
It's not super difficult because all the holes are already there for the lights and grille the main issue I found in doing the conversion was the wiring but mine was previously messed with

Adrian , if you got a 10 or 20 grand ride , and another 6 to 8 grand to add to your truck , go ahead , it's your truck and do what you want , I got 3 of these trucks , I'm not going to spend 6 to 8 grand for a 2 to 4 inch drop , when I could do it for a few hundred dollars and get quality shocks and suspension system with the money I have saved , also new tires and rims , and a lot of other things including many tanks of fuel

How hard would it be to install this kit on an obs 2wd tahoe?? The front suspension looks identical.. the rear looks pretty close. The rear cross section that gets cut out is there and the frame looks similar..
is the c-notch mandatory for the wishbone? can i skip the cutting but install the bracket?
wait? so you don't have to weld anything after you cut the frame. that kit just slips right over and fills the gap of the cuts?

You can do the qa1 suspension it's actually less money and way better system and a lot more adjustability
I'm surprised to not see a rear swaybar as part of the set up, if handling is part of the goal.

Though it's anathema to OBSers, the orig. front clip should stay on the truck. Go for the (slightly) different look.
