    Judo in asia is so much more advanced than anywhere else. Like even your tachi-waza is so much more perfect. These guys are amazing.

    • @danielmartinezruggiero77

    I think the video should be subtitled. What they said are very helpful to understand the techniques.

    I've been doing judo for 3 weeks now. Are those skills really just basic?

    • @lottajudo
      @lottajudo  9 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      +TheRussian951 Basic techniques and more advanced techniques built upon basic elements done by experts very well. Basic does not mean only used by beginners in this case, you will use these techniques all through your judo career.

    The title is eye candy, but for legit judo practicioners who want to study, it would be more helpful if it's straight through and specific like, "uchikomi, tachi waza kata, and combinations."
    Also for those who want to play judo for competitive purpose, climbing opponent is illegal, nor a 'traditional' kodokan kata

      lottajudo I studied Chinese Shuai Jiao before, now I am learning Judo. China has many skilled Shuai Jiao players and I am curious how they would do against Judo players

    • @lottajudo
      @lottajudo  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some of them do well, often they do both styles. A teammate of the smaller guy in the video had done both and medalled at the national championships for both Shuai Jiao and Judo. It's like those people from central Asia who have their own style of jacket wrestling, they too do well in judo, once they reach a high level.

    I'm scared

    • @JohnnyMakimura
      @JohnnyMakimura 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Budai Réka No need to be scared if you know how to fall (it's the 1st thing you learn in judo) :).
      Furthermore, there's a saying which says "the louder the fall is, the better it is" (and it's rather true, as it means that your arms absorbed the shock, as the sound is mostly produced by your arms absorbing the shock)
