Feel like a busy life gets in the way of training? I get that. You enjoy CrossFit, have goals you want to reach but as hard as you try, there just doesn’t seem to be time to fit in as much as you’d like.
This is something I’ve struggled with - and have come up with 5 tips that really changed my mindset when it comes to training, as well as helped me in a practical way. So if you struggle to find time to CrossFit (or actually anything in life you struggle to make time for), give this a watch and let me know which one(s) you’re going to implement today!
Here’s a quick rundown of the tips I cover in the video if you want to hop around…

I’ve been going 3x a week for a year, love it! Coaches are great about modifying and looking out for form to keep us safe and healthy!

Good info. Fortunately I am kinda obsessive and have been 100% attendance for 4.5 years now. 6:45 am was 3x a week now 5/6 with a few rest days planned for and caused by work.

Also finding a CF group that’s a family is key. If I miss one or two workouts I’m getting a text from my coaches 🤣🤣🤣

    #6 scale scale scale
As a 54 year old, If I don’t feel like the firebreather I like to pretend I am one day, I prefer showing up and scaling the workout to suit instead of not going at all. Sometimes just after warm up I realize that I do feel just fine and so the WOD as intended but if not scaling is just fine

“Sure, the traditional CrossFit class model is warm-up, strength, metcon…”
No, the traditional CrossFit class model is warm-up and ONE workout for the day, whether that be a heavy lift or a mixed modality metcon. The strength + metcon may be more common now, but that is not what the one-hour CrossFit class model is meant to be, and leaves less time for warm-up, coaching, skill development, and cool down, not to mention it decreases the intensity of the WOD.

The gyms are a rip off and the system causes alot of injuries

There is zero credible evidence to support the claim that CrossFit’s injury rate is higher than any other training method. And as a gym owner, I can assure my 60+ hour work weeks making 30,000 per year (and some of that I spend on equipment or supplies for the gym) is not a “rip-off” for anyone except myself.

Actually it isn’t and doesn’t “cause” injuries . But go on …… hopefully you have a home gym or facility that fits YOUR personal fitness needs
